I know they call it a trenchcoat, but its what the navy calls a peacoat. Don't know why, but while stationed on a naval ship as a Marine, I heard it refered to that. A trenchcoat is a long overcoat usually worn by gangsters and flashers lol. just saying :)

Yeah, I have to agree, these Zeds have super sight and hearing evidently. I seen a spec in far off distance in a rain storm...and lo and behold, its a zed racing towards me, that saw me crouched near a tree 2 miles away. (slight exaggeration, be he was barely even to be seen). I did get one shot killed by one yesterday as well. I don't have a issue with that per say, but I had hit it with a fire axe and it one shot me as it died...I was like W T H !!!!. Maybe its because you have to have raised weapon now that makes them difficult to hit, or its just not registering the hit correctly. My biggest gripe is all the eating, weapon loading, and zombie sounds when there are no Zeds or players even around. They happen so often, it makes one complacent, and when someone actually is near, I never seem to hear them ... go figure.

Speaking of sounds, why am I hearing eating , ammo chambering, and zombie sounds as ambient sounds? These shouldn't happen unless there is someone or a zombie actually near. And I'm also looking forward to the suppressors working. But that said, I'm excited how this game is progressing.

I'm looking for a regular server that has day and night cycles, and is a popular server. I will play on it no matter the server time of day, or weather. I want the server to have some people I can interact with, or even avoid, but want others there. If I get killed, I will still play the server, provided the admins aren't abusing their rights. I will just start the newb thing all over again, eating berries and drinking from ponds and such, until able to do more. So please list any servers that might fit this venue. thanks

Hmmm .... I'm not sure what Entropia Universe does, but I've never seen their system hacked, but it deals with real money economy, so maybe they invest more in the security of it. Maybe some of these other companies should contact them and find out how they prevent hacks ?

was logged into the =LiT= server, with one other =lit= guy on. Played about a half hour before server reset, then was flooded with =lit= guys, and in the few mins it took me to get to the balota airfield, it was cleaned out. Then after they were done looting evidently, it went back to one =lit= guy. So if you want to loot anything decent, stay clear of their server. They know when it resets, and loot it in force. I don't mind competing for loot against other people, but when the server owners loot the prime spots, it just makes it kind of makes it useless to even try. Good luck out there folks, stay Frosty

Please don't mistake my post as a call to camp them. I made to warn others they probably wont get decent military gear... I. e. scopes and attachments. like I said, I don't mind the challenge as long as there's a chance of reward. I try to play a survivor.....I eat berries (ALOT of berries...and quite time consuming) and drink from ponds until I have something to defend against Zeds. Then i'll venture into towns a little deeper, acquiring gear as I go, looking around constantly for killers and Zeds alike. EDIT: hmmm...something happened to my font lol, sorry for small font guys

I've noticed it as well, but figure, only way to stop the loot farming server hoping is to require a character to only play on the server it was created on, not cross to another server once geared. If your character could not jump to another server, you'd play on selected servers more often, rather than jump, because if you select a different server, you start with a newb. Even if you have a character on every server out there, you will eventually come to use a selected few, as main gameplay. It would also stop ghosting, if your character restarted in same exact place as he logged off, on same exact server. Ghosting is totally not stopped yet, ghosting just takes longer to do now. I don't mind too bad when my character dies. I feel the struggle at the start is half the fun. Because I'm not a player killer just for shats and giggles, I tend to get more bored with the fully geared one, that I know, is doomed to die at a certain point, because of the KOS crowd. My performance took a major dive with this last patch. Before today, no issues with performance at all, but now it's so laggy it's unplayable...locks up as well and stops responding. Seems like a memory leak, as longer on...worse it gets until the lock up. i7 960 3.2 ghz cpu ... 6 gig ram .... ati 6750 w/2gigs ddr5 ram .... win 7 pro. sata 6 HD. P.S. Just wanted to add..I really like the changes and all coming, I did not mean to sound complaining, just wanted to inform of my situation. thanks

everything you drop usually disappears for a few seconds, give it a little longer then look again. I discovered that you can put a cooking pot on a fuel burner, but haven't figured out how to put something in the cooking pot yet. Deacon

I've gotten "geared up" again ... but I use it to help others if possible, although I almost never see anyone. I like to clear towns of Zeds when going in. If I lose the gear, I lose it, no big deal, then survival starts all over again, which is half the fun .. ok .. not quite half :) Deacon

maybe a friend can agro a Zed to your area, they aren't encumbered with physics like walls and such, they' can move thru it to kill you.

I had a character reset today, it said contact support for help. This is support area, so I'm posting :)

I had a fully geared out character, and was losing connection. Logged into some night servers, which I then log out of to find a day one, then when logging in, it says my character has been reset. WTF...

what "dead horse" am I beating, I just needed to know. I was under the assumption, this was where we learned about the game.

lol, indeed, I don't get attached to my stuff. I think half the fun is surviving to get it, which I did. I just don't want this to be an ongoing thing, if I'm doing something to cause it, I need to know.

OK, I'm new to day z. I've seen a lot of books everywhere and keep wondering .. what they're about. Also lucked out and found an m4 and bayonet. I've also seen people with bayonets on mosins, are they useable as bayonets, or just decorations? Thanks

yea, I have like 6 small squares, and I'm going fill them with crap on a chance I might get stuck....anyway, after trying to my wits end to get help from support or something, 2 min after I posted in here, I logged in and was out somehow, dev must have seen the frustration and moved me...so I'm good for now. But they still need the respawn available at ALL times, not just when wounded or such. I cant count the number of servers I hopped to in hope of a zombie being there to kill me, as it was a zombie that caused me to glitch in the first place while I was punching it to death.

yea, I'm about to do a chargeback, I've been stuck in a wall for last 2 days. I had just drank and ate to health before it happened. If I cant play it, I'm certainly not gonna pay for it.
