will they be able to do anything about the effects from the attacks, like rollback characters or servers to get characters back or no?

Was playing about an hour or two ago, i logged out for about 10 minutes and returned and my character was reset to the beginning. Was all healthy and did not get killed or die. How? I heard DDoS, etc. will characters be rolled back or are we just SOL? guess theres no point in waiting, just start a new one?
