    Wild Animals/Aggresive Animals

Excellent example! STALKER wild life was amazing. I hope they bring such a wildlife structure into DayZ. That'd be real great!

    Why buy the standalone ??

As an oldschool multiplay shooter fan of CS and BF, RPG and MMO games i believe DayZ clearly represents the future of gaming. So much potential, brave ideas and huge potential. I've not played the mod but i fell in love with this game. Discovering this game is so exciting...
  4. People who love poses like a badass likes the thread. Thanks for the Nirvana OP we didn't know that. :D People say friendly when they're unarmed and when they get a gun they shoot you at sight. It's not the discovery of our age. It's a simple fact. Until game offer us alternate ways of fun and feel of accomplishment people will keep kill each other to entertain themselves.
  5. Excellent suggestions OP! You have my beans good sir, :) Now the map looks like abandoned but we cant see the tragedy behind that evacuation before evocuation. What happened there? Massacres, deaths, traces of tragedies. Abandones vehicle caravans at highways, rotten corpses. Yay, Thanks for bringing those to table man!
  6. That means a lot, I hate this is alpha so stfu attitude. Sounds excuse my word but imbecile approach to criticism. Alpha and Beta stages is meant to tear apart the whole game and talk even on smallest details. Each feedback means something. And the developer uses that raw information to shape their project if its needed or seem fit to their work.
  7. TBH, i don't care friendly or nor but i'd like to see more interaction between players. Mostly i just see running people away from you or kill you at sight if they're armed. And it's easy to understand why is that a common sight. People with guns wants to achieve something and the killing others mostly one thing to do and the runners are basicly so afraid to interact with people somehow. They're the most annoying type imo. :D What i understand from "friendly" is something needs to discovered in game by making bonds with trusted companions and letting it to develop by time backing up each other. For the neutral players who communicates me i just reply back and talk and try to trade if i need or they need anything but "friend" mechanism works for me the same way just like in RL. When the game become more complex and zombies and environment become hostile to players imo there'll be more interaction between players, less KoS (not a huge deal if you play with friends) and as a result even better gaming experience. The point is presenting to players more group or social oriented achievements and gameplay structure. Rest of it is up the very gamer themselves.

    The KOS conundrum, problem/solution.

KoS is not the sole problem imo. People kill each other because they got nothing to d but killing. Simple as that, It's not being psychopath because its easy get military grade gear by server hopping, and zombies are joke. When you got enough supplies, find a friend and form a group then you start to kill people. It's not so hard to understand. I'll try to find better server where i can find hero and even bandit clans for less random more organized multi gameplay,

There are jerks camping spawn sites

KoS is out of control... Yesterday two bandits with rifles camped electro and killed at least 3 new spawns and at last yea they got me too :D I was hoping to interact more people and some RP when i join DayZ and do not get me wrong i'm not emo for being killed by others. As a seasoned FPS gamer for years since old good Quake and BF fan i like a lot from competitive shooters and PvP mentality which is including MMO games but something should be different with DayZ. I know its Alpha but "at least" for now game looks like a larger scale survival death match game. As i've witnessed so far until they get the firearms they talk each other form at least basic groups for loot and gear but when they (includes me) get the guns you/they just shoot even unarmed players just for amusement or to feel themselves safe and secure. IMO if the game goes in that way there will be lots of quitters and they'll go back to hardcore FPS genre games. At least you'd say yea i got the gun and the other team then its a fair deal. Theres no need for looking for loot, gear, stuff and try to survive in a death match world. Don't get me wrong. I real liked the main frame of game and its a unique experience for gamer like me who play video game since C-64 and Amiga. And the game has nearly endless room to improve in many ways. But imo something needs to be done for mindless KoS syndrome. More zombies? Perhaps... Less firearms and ammunition? This is a must... My two cents,
  10. IMO compared to mod, DayZ will be and should be a different game. And its all about Dean Hall' design decisions and he is free to do so as he wish. He already has a lot of cash to invest and hire people where its needed. DayZ is a beautiful and relatively experimental project. And offers a huge variety of potential to improve, enhance or do it from scratch.
  11. Major problem is the excessive usage of firearms. When people get the guns and ammunition start to shoot people on sight. And the game becomes a survival deathmatch. Solution is simple imo. First of all there should be more zombies and zombies should offer a serious threat for players by their numbers and skills. Second firearms should be rare and most of them should be basic civilian grade weapons like basic double barrell shotguns, hunting rifles. Military grade weapons and especially high end sniper rifles should be extremely rare. And ammunuition for all those guns should be rare. If you increase the zombie threat and offer less guns then people become more talkative and form groups for raids to get better loots and discover larger settlements. As a new player i just only see people shoot each other. Mostly i hear only gunshots and mindless new spawn hunting around. And imo i know the game is still in Alpha stage but if the things goes like that game gets harm by such a pointless hostility between player base. And it becomes like spawn, find a base, infiltrate, server hop and find a empty one and loop until you get the military gear and shoot people afterwards. And such a circle just consumes the replay value of DayZ. My two cents,

    Players, communicte more please.

Less boom, pang pang, phew phew guns, more talking. Simple as that.

My opinion on Killing on sight...

More zombies and enviromental dangers / less firearms and even lesser ammuniton makes you think twice before shoot people on sight in a crowded server. When you get dozens of ammo and rifle and even a pistol what else you gonna do but shooting someone to make your miserable life better? IMO the environment the situation should force you to co operate and even form temporary raid groups to stom deep into the cities and bases to reach better loot. KoS is the only option for many players to entertain themselves because apart from the other players theres not that much thing to do. I see a lot of posts regarding the firearm variety. High tech sniper weapons, assault rifles, thermals and such. For the love of god BF4 and CoD offer a lot of those. I'd like to see simple guns and rare military grade weapons.

    Zombies: Standalone vs. Mod

More zombies and even zombie hordes in wilderness especially in forests. And for the love of god less firearms and ammunition. That would a game changer. And if they overhaul the melee combat and weapons! Sounds great to me :)

What Guns do YOU want to see?

    More melee and less firearms...
