Thank you everyone for the replies and help on this. Just trying a lighter survivor with mimimual supplies rather than just getting a huge backpack and filling it with gear.

But if I get a bigger backpack tactical vest more slots in my pants and jacket I can carry more and have stamina?

I thought this aswell. I checked the weight on the mushrooms on 1kg (I know still heavy) but even after dropping them it doesn't move much.

I am stuck with this one. I am currently carrying 4 mushrooms, a apple, a pear 3 cans of drink 2 water bottles rope knife compass duct tape fire stater kit 4 bandages 2 rags mosin and axe. And I have about 10% stamina. I have applied a splint but havnt seen any recovery. Any advice?

All I can say really is your own imagination is your only limitation on how you play dayz (and the state of the game and servers of course) Try different style of play. Play a banit shoot first ask questions later. Play the hero and hunt down bandits. Escort new spawns off the coast. Most importantly interact with other players listen to their story and continue from there. If someone has recently been killed in a nearby town make it your quest for revenge? It's up to you what you want to do. Tents are not yet in the game. If you bury items it will stay there for around 43! Days persistent through restarts.

I love the idea of have a spawn point at your own camp when tents arrive.

No night cycle for us on Xbox yet. Night time is even harder than day time.

Quick death options: Lay down in water and drown, jump off something really high, craft a rock off the floor into a knife and use the suicide emote. There is quite a few ways to die. Meeting up: As for locating your friends find a map (plently to choose from online) pick a place all head there. Who ever gets there first, they secure the area kill all the zombies and look out for other survivors wondering through (potential future threats/teammates) locate food and water for friends as they may need aid when they finally arrive.

I am guessing so the new players can see where they are running. DayZ is hard enough during the day time nevermind trying to play at night.

Pick up a magazine you find see if it fits into your gun if it doesn't leave it. What's the big rush to find everything right away? Survivors want a fully kitted out character only to complain when they die.

The weapons magazine will tell you what ammo it takes.
