I try my hardest to never kill anyone. But it seems like EVERY time I've tried to strike up a conversation recently, they shot me.

Feels good, right?! That's the first thing I chase after every time I start a new game. Find a water pump, drink until you're stuffed. Then (while looking for water pump), collect food and find something to open the cans -- and eat every bit of food you find. Then....go hunting for a gun. The last few days, it has be super hard to find a gun. Too many server hoppers and shiz.

I hope this isn't stupid...... But I was thinking, why don't they make the server system invisible to us? As in -- you can choose what kind of game you want, and what mode (if they add more) and then you have a "find game" button, and it throws you into the best server for you (least populated). If you leave within 20 or so minutes of joining and try to "find game" again -- you just get thrown back into that same server (server hopping solved). You do not get to choose your server unless you go to steam and say "Join Game" from your friend's menu -- if you wanna play with someone. Good? Bad? Am I the dumbest person you've read text from? Did everyone suggest this 100 times, and I didn't use the search button correctly (or at all)?

When ever I am playing DayZ, it seems my internet only works once in a while. If I ALT+TAB out of DayZ and go on to a website -- say the DayZ map -- it most likely won't work. Then, I go back to playing for five minutes, and back out again, the map suddenly works. I don't care about this happening on my computer -- I'll just open the map and stuff before hand -- but I do not want this to happen to other computers on my wireless network (live at parents). Is there any fix for this -- or is there anyway to limit the bandwidth going to just my computer so I keep some on the side for my parents' computers? THANKZ DAYZERZ.

It does, though. If I'm playing DayZ, the internet on my (other computer) laptop won't work most of the time. :(

Sometimes those things (history/favorites) take time to load, just like the server list. But, If you're on the server list, and you click on a server, an "Add to Favorite" button should appear at the bottom that you can click. All this info is previous to the recent updates. So all of this could be wrong, haha.

I think they should employ a cement way to tell what time it is in the maps. And they should simply put "DayZ" or "NightZ". Duh!

This has totally happened to me before. And remember you're good old Alt+F4. That'll close the program right away, so you don't have to slowly open task manager and find it to close it.

NO! That would be lame! The point of approaching people and talking to them is to find out whether they're good or bad. If you knew from a distance, that would take all of the fun out of player interaction. Some people play KOS -- I don't. I like bullshitting with other players, and telling them "Yo man, I see you have a gun, don't shoot me and I won't shoot you." And there has been plenty of times that I've seen a bandit (and they didn't see me) and I would sneak up on them and say "Hey man, don't shoot. I'm not going to kill you -- I had a chance to -- but I didn't. So be cool!" The few times I did do that, I either got a conversation going, or I just got a "alright" from them. It's rare that I've talked to a stranger on there and they DID shoot me.

You may have done this, but definitely quit the game and restart your computer. I also would not jump to the conclusion that it's a hacker. You may have just found a "special spot" that if you walk into it messes you up. Anyway, if quitting and restarting doesn't fix it (at least fix it so you can take a screen shot), you may just have to wait until the next update, and hope that it resets your character. Or try to get a friend in the same server to find you and shoot you if they can see you from the coast or what ever.

Yeah, I think with that update came big server problems. The game has been unplayable for me. I keep entering servers and people could see me, but I can't see them. I can't use any items, I can't pick up any items, and can't pull out my gun. Looking at other topics -- a lot of people are having similar problems. Hopefully they fix it this week.

Read the rest of my comment. 75% of this game is about exploring for loot. It's kinda like if they put an auction house in Diablo 3 to trade/buy/sell items.......OH WAIT!

Wouldn't that be egg-celent!?

I'm betting that's one of the tiny details they'll eventually clean up. I'm sure the male voice/panting is just a stand-in.

Sounds a little...RUSTy. I like hunting for loot. Being able to make a call and have awesome loot come to me just ruins my reason for playing.

If I see a player who doesn't see me, 90% of the time I say something to them. Most of that time they are cool, because they know I could have killed them by seeing them first, but chose not to.

I really really hope they end up putting a LOT of different items in the game. I'm thinking around 5,000. Not everything has to be super helpful or useful. But plenty of them are. And I want a LOT of different rarities of items. There should be like 2,000 items you almost always find. 2,000 you rarely find. And 1,000 that you almost NEVER find. Like you find 1 or 2 of those items every 10 hours of play. This may cause problems with the way things are currently set up. But I wondered, can't they just made the map and all of that detail load from your HDD? And just have the people, their locations, and the items only load from their server?

They should add all the items people are suggesting...from LifeStraws (super duper rare), to Megaphones (pretty rare) to like tire irons (found in almost every vehicle's trunk).
