Yes perhaps, but sometimes even some .jpg won't work. Some days ago it was just fine and didn't need 10kb. -
You can use the free version of Arma II with the retail/steam version of Operation Arrowhead. Or if you like HD graphics you can also buy Arma II w+ OA.

This has been reported before quite the few times, and even by myself. If you lose items or transit you need to immediately disconnect and reconnect. -

Humanity regenerates every 5 Minutes, stay in-game long enough and you'll slowly transition. If you lose items immediately disconnect and reconnect.

No, and no. Not only is it illegal but it will easily disallow you from the servers. Now go buy the game.

Simple. When you're bleeding you attract zombies in a much larger radius who are more alert to the fact that someone is bleeding, possibly making it much more difficult if you're becoming attacked or even worse: Shot. A scenario would be when you're sneaking around town when a sniper hits your leg from the trees and you're bleeding down at 9k health (Hypothetical) and now the entire down is running down the street attempting to eat your tasty brains.

Yes, I really hope something like this may be put into the game in the future, giving a more group based efforts if someone gets hit.

It's only been three hours, give them some time to reply if not then a full day at the least. It's 6 AM over here, and I can't help you since I have never played the original Arma II. But it sounds like the DayZ files are still running around somewhere in your game, it's possible that the DayZ folder is still there and/or the launch options are attempting to load said shortcut? -
Perhaps, but if you're visibly bleeding and can bandage it? It would make it even worse if they ran up to you trying to kill you as you bandage yourself, encouraging more teamwork around towns/cities.

Thats about right, the only real thing you need is -mod=@dayz the rest is basically to make it run smoother. Make sure you installed DayZ correctly! If not then consider the DayZ Installer!

You're not running Combined operations or you didn't set the launch options in steam (If you're using steam.)

Bad Version? Have you recently re-downloaded all of the files from the dayz website and unpacked em into the /addons folder?

Sadly freezing and crashing can range from any number of things but the main cause can be failed hardware. Which can result in many variates of situations.
