Here are two things you need to make sure you do before you reinstall Battle-eye. 1. Download it from the official site 2. Run the battle-eye setup as an administrator -
Sometimes you should never judge it by how it looks, try it for yourself a few times and see if you like the idea of starting over on a new adventure with either the same or a new goal in mind.

Another thread stated it didn't put the files into the @DayZ/addons Are your launch options correct?

If you have both games on Steam retail you may launch if by right clicking Operation Arrowhead and selecting Launch as Combined Operations. If you have another retail + steam retail there is guides out there on how to deal with this.

1. This is not a troubleshooting issue but a new player question. Will move when posted. 2. Yes. Permadeath, you die you lose your items and valuables and start fresh at one of many spawn locations. You die? Sucks, we all have to go through with it. If this isn't your type of tea you're free to not play the game.

Moved It's directed towards a server. Edit: Screenshots and videos work lovely, trust me. However admins usually have no access to change the time or spawn anything, but may as well be hacked clients. -

Will combined operations work for dayZ

If you buy them separate or with the pack is your choice, both will work as long as you have Arma II & Operation Arrowhead -
Steam isn't mandatory unless you bought retail off of Steam.
