As far as I know: No. Certain zeds can be outran (Crawling ones, hopping ones.) but rarely can running zeds be outran. -
3. The only ones you can lose interest is the ones that crawl on the ground, or hop around. Rarely can you get away from a running zed (Ex: Going in a building and waiting long enough to run out, running up a hill to make them go slower.)

I'll be watching this thread for anyone who takes this the wrong way. You're on the official DayZ forums, and you've created a thread. DayZ is a Mod for the following gameS: - Arma II - Arma II: Operation Arrowhead (Expansion) You need both of these games in order to play this mod! (Actually you only need Operation Arrowhead and can get the free version of Arma II, but that can cause issues!)

It's an alpha, he is open to suggestions and ideas. If he didn't want it that way I believe the suggestions sub-forum wouldn't be there, and if anything then there would be a unofficial forum that he would probably still look at.
