Legacy (DayZ)

We have already covered this in other stickied threads, but if you fail to even notice this thread then your thread deserves to be locked. DayZ Stafff, Forum Staff, and Community Support have absolutely no control over Private Hives. So nothing can be done about them. All threads concerning private hives will be approved, and then locked to show as an example and to tell users that private hives are not accepted in this sub-forum. However if some threads have a good enough effort they will be moved over to the Private Hive Discussion where it can have user feedback as a way to warn players from suspicious or otherwise abusive private hive servers.

High Quality Post. A++ Would lock again. Locked Private Hive. Lack of Format. Lack of Evidence. Lack of Grammar.

If it's a public hive, it should come back at a minimum of 7 days if I'm right. If you're playing on a Private Hive contact an Admin of the Private Hive that you're playing on.

Perhaps give more detail on why you think this would work out instead of "This game made it work!" I'm interested in why you think that your suggestion should be included in SA.

Do tell. It's required to have evidence to make such a list possible, and such evidence is generally reviewed in good hands. If this is handled the way it should be handled, then there shouldn't be any issues at all. Some people may tell stories but the real community members know better then to avoid a server based on someone elses word.

Approved You didn't follow the format, but due to the effort put into this thread I'll allow it. How can we tell that isn't a ban from a different server?

Your cd-key has been globally banned. If you bought this or share a CD-Key with another user this may be why.

You got your answer. Standalone should be using VAC and will ban your steam account from associated games with VAC if you end up cheating, so far it's been very clever with catching cheaters and quite punishing. I don't know if SA will be using BE much less if VAC and BE can work together... However the way VAC works is very interesting, never immediately banning the cheaters and selecting a good time to ban them from VAC. However since SA is going to be mostly server side on mechanics it should be more tricky to hack, so we probably won't see any hackers until a good month. Even if then it may be a small amount. But hey, anything can happen right? (Please remember that I'm just a forum mod, forum mods generally only get as much information for standalone as the public does.)

You didnt' fully uninstall Arma 2/OA. Your CD-Key that is banned is still in the registry.

Well seeing that the moderator will shoot down this thread, this last part is to you mr. moderator. I am locking this thread as this section is for Public Hives. Warn people in the Private Hive Discussion, make a detailed and well constructed post in there. I don't mind people warning and all, however attempting to report 'Private Hives' to the people who attempt to black list public hive servers is pointless. If you can do anything to stop this power abuse I would be greatful Moderator's have no control over servers, generally it is DayZ Staff and special Community Support who may or may not have this power to blacklist servers. Oh well I guess I can serve my own justice by flooding their server so no one can play, since you probably won't do anything about it. DDoS'ing servers isn't the way to go, come on. There is plenty of other servers out there that may or may not react so badly towards you. Try again, you know? The sad issue with private hives today is anyone can do what they want, and finding a good server that is recommended by the community is incredibly tricky.
