Ignore him. Direct Chat is a local 40 Meter radius around you. Local chat so to speak. Teamspeak/Vent has higher quality.

There is not a single player version of DayZ yet, any mod's making it Single Player are not official and are not supported.

Instead of having a fuckton of stickies listed on this sub-forum, why don't we just make an index to all of these guides in one thread? If someone can collect enough information and make a global index, I will be happy to sticky it.

Basing it off of your words will usually not work unless proof/evidence in some manner is present. Some people may say otherwise if they have access to logs and such. -

I almost want to make a sticky about these kinds of threads that complain, whine and bitch about how people end up killing them because of X Reason or X Exploit. You died, you lost your shit. Time for a new experience and adventure. Be glad you aren't doing the same thing you were doing before and get to start on a brand new adventure.

The following may of occured: - You did not launch the games before launching it as Combined Operations - You are wrongly launching the game and not as Combined Operations (Doubt this.) I don't think you can launch it through steam, I forgot how you do it via retail + steam but look around the forum for a guide. You might need to run it with Sixupdater or something.
