  1. On my crappy computer back home I ran 1000 view distance, 800 object view distance, and 150000 screen complexity. That computer is way bellow recommended specs and it ran fine with these settings and the game didn't look that awful either. It doesn't even feel like that big of an improvement now that I'm playing on a decent rig. Sure I can see forever, but that doesn't really help that much, seeing as every person sees players the same distance away no matter what settings you put. I expected to gain an advantage from upgrading my rig, but the game runs just as buggy/laggy for everyone it seems. I do have higher FPS, but it didn't make as big of a difference in my gaming experience as I would expect.

Carnt stop staring at that sun

It might not be such a bad habit when helicopters are introduced :D
  3. Are you Walter jr. from Breaking Bad? Silly alpha Walter.

    Blood Trails

Blood should leave trails that you can use to track down the wounded (bloody foot steps, hand prints on ladders/door knobs, etc) Getting sick should also leave it's mark. Edit: I thought the idea wouldn't need that much elaboration but to put it simply, if you can see blood pouring from your wounds, it should leave evidence of some kind until you fix your wound.

    Blood Trails

Looks like a good amount of blood to me (big splotch for initial injury, smaller one for tracking).

    Blood Trails

I marginally enjoyed his comment. Blood stains wouldn't necessarily have to be resource heavy. Sure, they could be, if they wanted them to look amaizng. But the blood stains currently on some walls look fine. I'm saying this as a potato user. I run 17 frames in big cities.

Where do YOU go to find pvp?

You are practically guaranteed to find action in Elektro on high pop servers. I'd recommend learning the layout and making note of good sniping spots before diving into the city blind.

    You hear footsteps behind you.

Server hopping are we? Your secret is safe with me.

    Blood Trails

Yeah. Subtle indications that something went down in the area around you. I'd like to see blood implemented in a lot of different ways like this. If your standing over a corpse your shoes could track blood for a while, or until you step in water. If you punch a zombie/player to death door knobs/ladders you touch could get blood on them. Used melee weapons could be bloody. Cloths worn when shooting a player close range could have blood on them, unless you manged to find water (what a great way to identify bandits). It would be really scary having someone run up on you with blood all over them, or finding discarded bloody clothing. You could discover someones intentions by paying close enough attention to your environment. Maybe you might notice that there were discarded bloody cloths in the building behind you, and the guy in front of you is wearing fresh cloths that spawn in the same building you found the bloody clothes in. That kind of thing.

    Blood Trails

Yes, but you're nit picking to death. With this logic we shouldn't have to eat or drink half as often as we do in game. Realism can only go so far before it just gets in the way of the game. Your point about the amount of blood is clear. The horse is dead; blood splatter, no trails.

    Blood Trails

It should be enough to track if you want to, but not enough that it's begging you to do so. Certain woulds could cause more noticeable bleeding. Multiple machete injuries should bleed profusely, a punch maybe not at all. You guys are taking this realism thing to a bit of an extreme though I think. Or maybe the word "trail" evokes the idea of a body sized line left behind in a players wake. Next time I post, I won't be lazy and leave the details out.

    Blood Trails

Bandaging would stop it. No bandage means blood trail. I don't know about all that, but I see spewing blood coming from my wounds when I get shot. If you are spewing blood, and in Day Z you spew a lot of blood, it should leave a trail. From the devs perspective it seems like we have quite a lot of blood to lose. 5000 blood to be exact. It doesn't have to be a blood bath, it could just be a few drops here or there. Your problem with it is realism? Kind of nit picky don't you think? It could be implemented in a realistic way.

    Remove the breathing fog

Russia is well known for its cold climate, and those houses have no heating. Of course you would see your breath.

    Is the shotgun that weak?

I've killed and been killed in one hit. I think the problem is that it is difficult to tell where exactly the crosshair falls. People that think it's weak are missing most of the spread.

    Problem with movement

I wonder how many times your poor survivor had to bash his face on the concrete before you figured out what was causing it. I have this image in my head of a bambi face smashing his way half way across elektro.

    Stuck On "Please Wait..." Screen

This has happened to me several times. If restarting the client doesn't work, try loading the experimental branch, loading a character, then switching back to regular branch. It has worked for me so far.

    Sewing - but what else?

You can repair weapons with weapon cleaning kits.

What Is Your BIGGEST Pet Peeve In DayZ?

Sounds to me like someone snuck a burlap sack over your head while you were logging out. Shenanigans!

    Do I look pretty?

Looks like someone had a rough night

    Stupid Bambis

I take no sides as a bambi. Every player is a potential victim to knock out and kill with his own weapon.

What Is Your BIGGEST Pet Peeve In DayZ?

Dying to a player because my weapon didn't come out when I pressed the hotkey is easily my biggest frustration. My favorite is when it comes out after 15 seconds, only to be put away again immediately.

That is the very definition of being a gangsta. When they add gasoline to the game I'll be sure to light my victims on fire to destroy the evidence.

Anyone find the double barrel rifle yet? Triple snap load action

Today I witnessed a player get sniped in the streets of elektro. He was crawling around with a broken leg calling out for help. I was hiding in an adjacent shed. I whispered "psst this way, crawl over here, hurry."Before he made it to me another player ran up to him exclaiming "need help man?" Something about this new players presence changed my mind about being friendly. He didnt know I was there. When he did turn to face me he saw my magnum in his face for about .3 seconds. The guy on the ground kept shouting "he's friendly!" He was being too loud so I killed him too. Damn it feels good to be a gangsta.
