lol sorry if I caused a "search first noob, it's been said a thousand times b4" thread. :D I'm just curious as to why people find it fun I guess. Me? KOS banditry would bore me to death. I love the human interaction of the game, even if it gets me killed constantly.

I die time and time again putting my undeserved faith in people. And I'll do it a thousand times more, I will never, NEVER go KOS. To me it just turns the game into a really big ARMA deathmatch. Not that that's a bad thing, and everyone has the right to their own play styles, but I find it bores me to tears.

No, you have to die first, and then it'll create the new character. Your stuff will be fine, though. :) I suppose if you have a friend with lots of back pack room, you could die and meet up at the shore. (If you want to change, make sure you click "Set Default" when you're done creating your character.)- 1 reply

Yeah until they're further along, zombies are just kind of a nuisance that hit you through walls and turn invisible to kill you while you're eating beans.

Great ideas, I'd love to have a little base going in the middle of nowhere, maybe a helicopter to drop off scavengers for supplies. :)

I totally agree. Lots of people play DayZ and have no idea about the ARMA 2 campaign. Kinda sad, actually, cause it gives the game more of a setting.

There's an ARMA 2 diving mod, and, while kinda buggy, is very much playable. I could see this happening in the far future.

Okay, if you know it's an alpha, and you know other people have been losing their characters as well, and I'm assuming you understand that this is an almost unavoidable problem during alpha stage, then why did you post this thread? What is the point you're trying to make here? Were you expecting the devs to come out of the woodwork and say "OMG I'M SO SORRY MR.CUSTOMER SIR, WE'LL FIX EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW."? (Btw you didn't pay money for the alpha, you paid money for the FULL RELEASE as well. You just get the privilege of playing the alpha and being a part of the game's development. So don't play that card either.)
