Oh, I've most certainly had times like those. :) My most recent escapade was in a fairly populated server, however. (I usually stay in servers with around 15 people, but I decided, hell, I'll live a little.) Me and 2 friends meet up. I'm not at my desktop right now so I can't post a screenshot, but I was dressed extremely bright and unbandity orange raincoat/red motorbike helmet and all, with a shotgun, cause it was all I could find. One friend was in full military gear with a mosin. (Let's call him mcgeared) And the third guy was mostly a newspawn with a crash helmet and an fn45 I had given him. (And lets call him mr.helmet) So a few minutes in, I meet up with mr.helmet near Berezino at the big factory, and mcgeared was still on his way from Balota. Apparently mr.helmet had found a couple other guys who were friendly on his way from electro. One of them had been shot, but the other guy ended up becoming trustworthy. So mcgeared finally shows up, and we prepare to head out, when suddenly, we see 2 newspawns. Mcgeared, as always points his big intimidating mosin at the poor guys, and says "hey guys, wait stop, we're friendly." Of course, the newspawns didn't buy that shit for a second, so I concive mcgeared to lower his damn gun, and I run up now unarmed to great them. This finally convices them we're okay, and we talk and give them food/water for a few minutes. Then another newspawn shows up. Then another. One with a red motobike helmet, one with an axe. Suddenly, I hear "WTF YOU ASSHOLE!?" and "The guy with the axe is hostile!" So mr.helmet decides to help out...by shooting the guy in the red helmet. "WTF DUDE!? YOU SAID YOU WERE FRIENDLY!" By this time the axeman had gotten a 7.62 in the face. While bleeding, the guy was still alive, so I could bandage him. He thanks me, and I give him some food to restore some blood. By this time, some guy in a construction helmet and mountain backpack had showed up, weaponless. We talked and traded with the newspawns for a few more minutes, and-wait. That guy didn't have a baseball bat before, did he? He must have. Huh. Then I see him pull the thing out and casually attempt to beat our brains in. Here's the fail: I had a shotgun with 8 filled speed reloaders. I chewed through them all. And that bastard got away without a scratch. Well, we scared him off anyway, let's check casualties and throw this gun into the ****ing ocean. We're all okay, except for the first newspawn (the trustworthy one.) who was laying there bleeding and unconscious. I try (and fail) 3 times to bandage him until I get it right thanks to the menu system. We then use a saline IV on him, and he's good to go. After this whole fiasco, we decide to get the hell out of this accursed factory, and head north of berezino, to some little villiage just west of the town. We meet a guy with an SKS, who was panicky as hell, seeing 3 guys with guns. (By this time our newspawn had headed west to grab his buddy, and they'd meet us up somewhere in between. Mr.helmet had also picked up an empty SKS.) We assure him that we're friendly, (even with mcgeared and his mosin pointed at his head the entire time.) and continue on our merry way looting the place. Que almost 8 rounds from the SKS before the bastard finally manages to hit me. (I was like 20 feet away in an orange raincoat.) Then he took out mcgeared. (lol he was PISSED.) but mr.helmet managed ti hide and survive. he watched over our gear as we respawned (thankfully) close by. Most of our stuff was ruined, but I still had my orange raincoat, thank god. Then I logged in the next day, and all my stuff was gone. I was a newspawn. MY RAINCOAT! :(

I can't contain my laughter... You obviously have no idea what is going on... Please don't report people to Steam unless you know for certain that they are hacking. :D

Welcome to ARMA.

I'm so glad there's gonna be a 10/22, I've had one of those since I was like 6. :D But question, will this be more of a "friendly" type of gun? Will you be KOS'd less often? (While it can certainly kill someone easily, I wouldn't think it would be seen as dangerous as a Mosin or M4.)

While anyone and everyone is a potential bandit, no matter what they where, what would you trust the most? (Even if it's by a very slight amount) For some reason, every guy in a beanie hat has been a no good bandit, and everyone in a motorbike helmet has been the most trustworthy. Apparently not even wearing an ORANGE raincoat seems to gain the trust of others. :D

Saved. :D But yeah OP, not a real big problem, if you can tell them apart by weird cutoff. (For example, if you don't hear gulping after opening of a soda, it's a ghost sound.)

It's not a problem, you're going between Hardcore and Normal servers. (You have different characters in each one.)

While the fence thing is background noise, I also hear sodas being opened and random zombie noises, when there are for certain nobody drinking, and no zombies around. I can tell it apart from normal sounds because it seems to cut off in the middle. Is this purposeful as well?

By Shor we need more like you. :) Yeah, never go KOS, no matter how many times you are backstabbed, shot in the face, and beaten with a bat, don't give in man! There are other folks like the medic you met, you just gotta get past all the paranoids.

Join an empty server. :) (However, use it to get what you need, personally I don't condone the abuse of going empty server to empty server stocking up on Spetzsnaz grade gear.)

I read the hunger games... Back in '01 when Fall of Reach came out. :D
