Cant see map, indicatiors, eat, find water... Help
Geckofrog7 replied to kanu-the-pup's topic in New Player Discussion
You have to find a map lol. You don't start with it. Remember this: sun rises in the east, sets in the west. Look for Polaris if you need to find north at night. -
Give flamethrower and all FN weapons or I will hax the internetz.
-
In order to fix the bugs, all objects must be added first, otherwise they have to do the fixing all over again in EVERY update. Come back later. Also the .22 rifle is awesome. What, do you want a freaking SCAR to spawn in random farm houses?
-
Okay, don't post rants pls.
-
Need a group/friends? Or just want a place to chill?

Three words: Metal. Detector.

I'm going to make a journal, elder scrolls style. "They thought I was crazy!!" "I'll show them!" "This is all so fascinating, yet I'm so tired! I'm going to rest in this dark, creepy place with scary zombie noises!! I sure hope nothing eats me..."
-
Actually, this is a great idea that I never thought of for some reason. :beans:
-
Btw these aren't voodoo zombies, they're just infected humans. Arms/legs/chest still most certainly kill. And players themselves are humans that are immune to the infection somehow. However, the rest of the suggestions are probably already being implemented in the future; good things nonetheless.

Hey, does anyone remember bottlecap mines?....
-
Yay, finally someone who constructively and calmly pointed out legitimate flaws in the idea of the game! Kudos for you, and sorry your gameplay experience wasn't great, this game can be very frustrating at times. I really do have a pet peeve with people who kill me for no other reason other than that I exist; most people don't even loot my body. I actually have more cases of successfully surrendering in ARMA than on DayZ, which is sad to say the least, and I think is caused by the attraction of...ahem..." newer" audiences that all they want to do is kill everyone they see.
-
Oh my god lol, you're killing me

1 fact 90% of you didn't know before.

This was actually...very helpful. Makaarov. Makaaaaaarov.. It sounds complete. -
Hey, I've had a bad day. If you say something like that again, I'm going to COME THROUGH THE SCREEN AND RIP YOUR THROAT OUT feel kinda bad and go play c&c for a few minutes until I forget about why I'm sad...
-
Yeah, I'll get a good chuckle watching him try to play when the game is actually challenging. :D

My hovercraft is full of eels. However, while I'm no gun expert, I'm not sure you can exactly scavenge gun powder from everyday items.
-
And just when I was starting to get along with this kind, I find myself once again pissed off at the stupidity of humanity.
-
Well, it appears my tablet (I'm on vacation atm) decided to randomly go to the last page, deleting my three paragraph response. So I'm just going to leave with this suggestion, that you come back to the game when its released if you don't have a LOT of time and patience. I don't see it as much of an alpha test as much as a pre order of the full game.
-
True, that would be great if we got regeared, but I don't see an easy way to accomplish that without making a gigantic loophole. Course, I'm no programmer, just some mod making experience. I guess just personally I'm willing to sacrifice being wiped if it means the game gets all the gear/vehicles/etc in faster, so that they can then focus on stabilizing the game without having to go through the process every single time something is added. I just don't know if you can really have a stable alpha with the real virtuality engine. (lol even the finished game always has those memorable bugs we all love)

The reason I think that most of us have that attitude is because a lot of threads have been made that, while being good points if explained in an intelligent manner, are more often rants and can basically be summed up with "this game suks I died/lost my stuff/ETC give me my moniez back!!!!!" which causes many to gain a hostile attitude towards those posting complaints at all. Was it necessary to make a post telling us that?
