I don't find the actual action surprising, just the fact that 1000 people think watching someone do that is entertaining. No anger towards them, just confusion.

While obviously most of the Russian and American equipment that you find in-game is probably left over from the conflict with the Chernarus Red Star Movement (Chedaki), what countries came to fight the infection as well? (assuming it started in Chernarus.) I've found Flecktarn boonie hats in various places, does this suggest that the Bundeswehr was there? (if so, hopefully we get full Flecktarn uniform and G36s.) I'd also suspect BAF and Czech Republic considering they've been in Takistan next door. If the outbreak DID start in Chernarus, then I'd assume that UN would throw everything its got to stop it. Thoughts?

I warned a friend of mine who was new to DayZ that when I give him a gun, to only use it for emergencies. What did he do as soon as I give it to him? Why, he said "OH SHIT A ZOMBIE!" and unloaded the whole SKS clip into the thing. I told him he was a dumbass, he apologized, and I told him it was alright as long as he didn't do it again. So we get to the NW airfield cause he wants to get Gorka camo like I had, which, needless to say, was a long walk. I let him borrow my AKM for the time being while I scope the place out for snipers. I hear again "Oh shit we got a zombie don't worry I got this bro." I quickly warn him to either leave it alone or use a fire axe. "TATATATATATTATATATATATAT" He wastes an entire drum mag on one zombie...if there was any other players around, certainly they were either hiding, fleeing, or more than likely making a beeline for our location. I finally had enough. I handcuffed my friend, beat the shit out of him with a baton until he was near death, and then shot him in the head with a Makarov. And it felt great.

Aaah, I remember that. Well thought out and written by OP, hopefully BI does something along those lines. I'd love to see evidence of more than just American and Russian involvement; this seems like a situation that would call for all hands on deck by NATO and really any major military force.

Although OFP on Xbox was an aiming nightmare if I remember correctly. I dunno, I'm curious to see how they'll handle it, but precise aiming at long range combat seems like it'd be hard to accomplish.

A. Game is buggy with hives and what not. Don't touch anything on this new character, and try to wait a day to get back on. B. Your character stand still for 30 seconds after you log off, if a zombie was chasing you, it could've killed you in that time.

I haven't gotten to the point of hypothermia yet, but has anyone else gotten to the point of "I am freezing" in full gorka plus jungle boots and a balaclava, and at full sun no less? Building a fire takes care of it quickly, but then as soon as I leave it, it's back to "I am rapidly cooling off". Am I just doing something painfully obvious, or is that a bug? IMHO the G36C looks fugly compared to the Operation Flashpoint classic and Bundeswehr standard issue G36A: I could see at least a very small German force getting involved with something as dire as what happened in Chernarus. SIE FICKEN WAS!!!!!!??
