There is no PVE servers. Unwarranted rant really. There are a few threads that discuss the direction of the game in those threads without having to attack the community. While I agree with you about the majority being cancerous and detrimental to the development of the game, you can post about it in a more constructive manner. -

Well that's kind of what I was talking about with the military bases and maybe having some of the weapons spawn somewhere outside of the base instead of the exact known locations they are now. In the woods, beside a hanger in the grass. Hell even in the middle of the airfield. "Oooh look, shiny weapon!! Bang, "you are dead" -

Ya, woods was an example. What I mean about the woods tho is one outside of one of the military bases. Instead of finding the weapons inside the base maybe some got strewn about int the nearby woods. Not just in the middle of nowhere -

Oh I agree. As it is, there are players that server watch waiting for the resets so they can make a mad dash for their precious gear because they "know" that it's going to spawn. I don't care if they change the percentage of certain items spawning is locations because it still doesn't change the fact that's where they still spawn. Christ, this will be even worse when vehicles come in. Once people learn of the spawn locations it's just a simple mad dash and voila, you've got control. What I'd like to see is more open world spawning. Random stuff in the woods, that sort of thing. -

Edit: Ahhh, I see. Actually persistent on the character. Well I like the idea except for the engine limitations that it already struggles with due to poor optimization. I wouldn't mind seeing actual battle wounds, scars, broken limbs and proper bleeding(not the lame fountain we see). Btw, there is a suggestions forum. Just a suggestion ;) -

There is a difference tho in throwing temper tantrums on the forums and cursing up a storm saying the devs suck, the game sucks etc. As the moderators of this forums state all the time, constructive criticism is welcome, not slander and diatribe. As fir H1Z1, planetside 2 should be a good indication of what kind of game H1Z1 is going to be. Now for Breaking Point. It's a mod for an already complete game. You are trying to compare apples to oranges there. -
Definitely not for a long time. They are already having enough issues with the infected pathing going through walls and fences. Base building would just open a whole new can of worms.

Gun shop does sound like a good idea but again, all it will do is have players making mad dashes to them just like they do military bases. All weapons and items should be randomly placed with certain military weapons being excluded from some locations. Perhaps some locations were where the military made a final stand or where civilians made their final stand so finding some weapons at these locations wouldn't be that far fetched. -

The only thing that concerns me about the standalone is the negativity that gets spewed across this forum about a game that clearly stated that it is incomplete. Yet the majority of you seem to think that you have every right to bitch and moan about an incomplete game that told you not to buy it if you are not going to actively participate in the Alpha stage of it. And by no means is throwing tantrums on the forum actively participating. It's absolutely disgusting the way some of you treat Dean, the developers and the moderators of this forum. BiS doesn't owe you a goddamn thing. -

#1 reason - Gamma Exploit #2 reason - Majority of the players can't handle actual darkness. What other game(s) out there actually have pitch black darkness? Hell the top 2 triple A shooters out there don't have actual night time. #3 reason - Everyone keeps throwing away their flashlight and battery in the beginning. Too much work to go find another light source and has no room over their ammo anyway. -

Ffs dude. Go play Arma 3 wasteland. That's all you are vying for. DayZ's core design is about a goddamn outbreak and now infected people are roaming the land and people are trying to survive. On topic: The infected are awesome. They are finally a threat and I welcome the challenge of even stronger infected. -

I rent my own already thank you very much. The beauty about skyrim is, wait for it, it's a single player game. There is no worry about damaging online play to it. You're trying to justify what the mods did to the original concept of the game and the watered down bullshit that came out of the mods. Go look at the server lists of the mod. The number of servers for any survival aspect of DayZ is so small and for the price of the standalone is not enough to justify having a small divided community strewn about hundreds of different versions of the game. Again, I'm for mods as long as they do not allow them to remove the core aspects of the game and water it down. -
