Two Reasons 1) Gamma Exploit 2) People have been handheld by mainstream shooters for so long that they can't handle pure pitch black nights. They then whine about the lack of lighting at night :rolleyes: -

The server will restart on it's scheduled 4 hours no matter what time you tell it to restart. For example, mine starts from 9 am to 1 pm pacific time. If i restart the server at 12:50 pm, it restarts again in 10 mins.

[CURRENT PLAYERS] Please Read!!!!! So, before you even slightly consider DayZ being close to finished, think about these things: Remember, you are 90% tester, and 10% a player. Read what 'Early Access' means on Steam. Make sure you are very ready for rage inducing, keyboard smashing, headache inducing bugs. Always report bugs.

I've noticed a large drop in activity as well. Not that my server is maxed out all the time but I was averaging at least 20+ players. Now I'm lucky if I have 5. Meh. I'll wait another month and see if it picks up and if not I'll shut it down. -
When did they add zombies?? All I've killed is infected people :huh:

The reason why server renters don't have any power at the moment is because, well, it's in alpha. Ya, ya, big thread on hackusations stickied, I know, but due to all the bugs and glitches it would be too hard to justify whether or not someone was actually cheating. For those who do rent, if you've got video proof, send it to your hoster and see what they can do. Until then, life will go on. -

I used to get really bad desync prior to the latest patch. I wouldn't even get the broken chain for minutes while I was desyncing. It made it really hard to stick with my buddies because they would just end up vanishing because of it. Try reporting this in the http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/forum/126-troubleshooting/ section and hopefully a more tech savvy person might be able to help you out.

A little tip for when playing at night.

I have 1 hour or so of night on my server. Running it from 5pm to 9pm. So far that's the easiest way that I know of but the gamma exploit still ruins it. -

Someone mentioned something about bandages and rags should only stop sever bleeding temporary until you find proper medical treatment. Until they you need to keep applying bandages to keep the bleeding at bay.
