That's just it tho. You can either build or barricade in the day or crank your gamma at night. No need for artificial lighting. I do not like the whole gamma exploit but seen as how BiS refuses to acknowledge that there is something wrong, DayZ will stay just that day, no night. -
The gutted the engine which most likely includes respawn.

Simple, action is too fast paced to be be dealing with head swivel. Plus why do you need head swivel when you can 360 spin in seconds? Lol, I could totally see someone playing CoD with track IR on, whiplash in the making. -
The only thing missing from DayZ is double jump and wall run. We've got our 360noscopespinerama, we've got super speed. Just top it off with some good ol' double jump and it will be complete. Btw, the mouse movement is shit now.

Again you are not looking at what those numbers mean and are for. You can guess until you are blue in the face but at this early stage in development where items and weapons are still going to be added, complaining about those numbers is pointless until they balance everything out. Everyone keeps yammering on like that is the complete package of what we are seeing. And I'll bet you all my beans that the developers are aware of those numbers but they are so low on the priority list that they aren't adjusting anything until they have what they needed added into the game.

How to initiate squad combat Step 1) Get some friends who own DayZ and join up on teamspeak or whatever VOIP you desire Step 2) Look for servers Named "Herp Derp Clan" Step 3) Check population of step 2 server Step 4) Press P in game and check player list to see how many members of "Herp Derp Clan" there is Step 5) Happy hunting and good luck. Btw "Herp Derp" is not a clan that I am aware of. It was my representation of "insert clan name here" Also, there is a small chance that the "Herp Derp Clan" will kick you from their server. -

Ok, well to answer the OP's question :rolleyes: , not any time soon. Beta doesn't even start until the end of the year at the earliest. -
That wasn't my point. The argument about dispersion is ridiculous due to the fact we don't even know why they use it. Is it suppose to represent civilians using fire arms? Is it suppose to represent weapon condition? No questions have been answered that I've been able to find. If you've got a link I'd be happy to read they reason.

We don't even know what those numbers are suppose to represent as I have never seen a non pristine weapon. Perhaps the dispersion is more for weapon condition and it's not representing it properly. As in it's representing a a badly damaged gun instead of a pristine one. A lot of those numbers are very much subject to change at some point and hopefully the devs can give an actual explanation on why they even use dispersion.

I personally think that the devs sticking with Chernarus was a big mistake. They should have done a totally different map. I am all for having different maps but what I would rather see is them connecting maps together into one big mega server :D. Fat chance I know -

Well the funny thing about this whole persistent storage is the developers had only mentioned about them persisting through server resets. Not once did they mention that they persist through each players lives. Right now it's the players who are making the argument for themselves on how the persistent storage system will work.

The game as it stands right now doesn't differentiate between players. It does not know the identity of the server owner until they allow more admin controls such as auto admin login on the server.

Segregating the community for starters. The community is already in shambles with the post that Torchia made about not making multiple calibers for weapons. All that's going to do is force players to use specific mods to create the game they want and by doing that separates the community even more. There is a reason why MMO's don't allow mods, addons yes, but not mods. -

Easiest solution to server hopping is creating one character per server. This is how it should have been done from the get go. Not only does it remove server hopping, it also allows communities to grow on servers that people enjoy. -

Best solution again is to block the storage from the player that died. Lock it out. it doesn't have to disappear but make it un-lootable to said player. He can then hope that his buddies can make it to the storage and get his precious loot and then start pvp'ing again because this game isn't about survival, it's about being able to stack mass goods in a storage and play off that, right?

Oh just wait. Multiple hives and mods will once again step in and segregate the community and leave the majority of servers empty except for the uber popular one that has zero surviving and is just a pvp bore fest. I hope it does not come to this but if the mod was any indication.... well we'll let that speak for itself.
