And this is what happens when they let people run servers like a loot piñata for over a year. People got comfortable, assumed that's how the game is going to be and are now throwing tantrums all over this forum. There's no loot because that's how persistence works. When it went live there was loot and people gobbled it up but because items do not respawn on restarts anymore people can't handle it. Loot will respawn over time, that's how persistence works. Deal with or go find a casual game to play.

Wrong, they finally added a tiny portion of the survival element that they've been talking about for many many months. This is the direction the game has always been headed.

People were warned day one about the game that DayZ was going to be. Heck, people harped on the developers for how easy DayZ was.

First off you would need some fairly long nails, second by the time you hammered enough in you'd most likely weaken the integrity of the bat anyway. Wrapping barbed wire around it would be much more effective

So 75% of the player base bought the wrong type of game. They did Bohemia a favor at least by helping fund the alpha but truthfully, they are no longer needed to help finish the alpha. It's best they come back on release when modding is available and turn it into Arma 4.

Private servers shouldn't be tied to the central loot economy. They should have their own loot that's randomly dispersed otherwise it wouldn't make sense to have to change servers to find specific items.

Aren't barren servers the whole reason the devs want people to server hop? You know, can't find your precious m4 on one server, switch to another. I'm 100% sure Rocket even stated this a while back

Well for one, your graphics card is pretty low end which could be the cause of your game freezing. Also, invest in a SSD. I use to get freezes when I ran DayZ on a standard HDD. The stuttering and freezing went away after putting the game on a solid state.

Why? Because they aren't hotspots. They are insta-gear up spots. Players avoided the majority of the map just to make a mad dash to the military bases. It was a stupid system and it makes sense to have gear randomly distributed across the map. The military didn't just sit at their base and die. If anything the majority of the military would have most likely died in the towns and cities while trying to evacuate civilians.

Again, post your PC specs. And Bohemia games are notoriously CPU heavy so saying you've played other games doesn't hold any water

Your screen freezing is not lag. Computer specs would help in this matter as it sounds like your PC crapped the bed

It's a better contribution than whining on the forums. We have a bug tracker for a reason. Report and move on.
