I have no doubt that their will be some who will make a great mod but going on the original mod and what is spawned, my hopes for anyone making anything good is extremely low. Epoch is a bastardized version of what DayZ is about. I've said this before but Epoch should not be associated with DayZ at all. And if that is the future mod of the SA, well then this game is doomed to live up to it's reputation of being a hard survival game. -

The point is, people are not going to want to rent a public hive that people can't enjoy because certain loot is not spawning there. Why rent a server where people are going to leave because they can't find their precious M4? -

Interesting, where I come from, the emergency channel is 9. The only reason I know that is because the AM radio station I listened to would repeat that every 30 mins or so. -

You can, just type private or public as the host in the filter setting. Some public ones sneak through using the name private in their title but it works pretty good. Cheers :D

No. Reason: This is the apocalypse, you don't know who or where people are so you should not be able to communicate with them outside the means the game already gives you - proximity voice or chat.

Yet people die from bugs, glitches and other players all the time :rolleyes: Having to play a new character while you wait for a server to fix itself is a small price to pay to remove the atrocity that is server hopping. -

@ Chapinet and Tactical Nuke, I'm running twice your ram (16g @ 1600mhz) and an i7 3770k @ 4.2. Using the R9 270X as well and I get fairly decent frames in the country and forest 50-60 fps. The cities average around 25-35 fps. I use just the in game settings with all quality settings on normal except terrain, I have that on very high. Here's my settings Try them and see if that helps. It definitely could be that your CPU bound and not going to gain much more. -
I know about the wells, kind of digging it for now. My current setup All clothing is worn except my military boots, they are still pristine even after that huge trek I did.

That's what I mean. Persistent severs should be it's own separate hive. Not linked to the main hive that has non persistent servers. Persistent hive(1st and third separate) - Non persistent hive(1st and third separate)

And here lies a big issue, at least for me. Once persistence is working, players are still going to be able to hop to a low pop non persistent server, collect their goodies, hop over to their tent persistent server and stash them. Rinse and repeat. Persistent servers should be their own hive.

How's the thirst and hunger levels as a fresh spawn? My character is light green hydrated, energized and healthy. I ran from Myshkino to Chernogorsk up to Stary Sobor and I've barely had to eat and drink, maintaining the light green status during my trip. The survival difficulty seems to be non existent this patch.

Gamebreaking usually means a state at which the game is unplayable. The bugs as of right now are not gamebreaking as the game is very playable. -

Ya, the infected had positional audio before. Has anyone tested this with in game voice? To see if it has positional audio? -

There is no positional audio for the infected screams or thunderstorms. If you hear it on the left and turn left in the middle of an infected scream, it still sounds on the left. -
