Modding is fine as long as it adds improvements to the base game such as graphics, sounds and animations. Adding extra weapon and vehicle spawns takes away from the whole survival aspect of the game. Sadly, most players choose the least path of resistance which will then force me to play on these modded servers or just stop playing altogether. Which is what happened with the original mod -

The problem is when those servers become the norm and the base game ends up being and empty shell because, hey, it's easier just to log into a server that's going to hand everything to you on a silver platter and those who wish to enjoy a harder game get screwed with empty servers. -
Is wind a factor in SA already? Is wind constantly blowing to the East?

I think the clouds move east for the time being to allow the bads to figure out where they are or it's just a glitch. -

In a real life apocalypse scenario why would you build a loveshack when there are thousands of decent houses that you could live in? Crafting items has been planned for a long time, but you will not see Rust-esque building AFAIK. -
Why is this even a discussion in Alpha?? Optimization will not start until a near full complete game. If they optimized it now guess what would happen after they add new stuff, complete collapse.

Yet promoting violence via guns is better right? I just think it's silly that they removed something because a small select few kids were being dipshits. They should be able to track the player that wrote it and ban them.

They aren't providing racist content. The people who make those notes will still yell racist slurs in chat, VOIP whatever they can get their hands on. Hell, they probably call each item something racist because that's what they do. So I guess by what you're saying is they should remove all items in this game because people will start labeling them something racist

Funny thing though these so called hardcore pvp'ers, they all play on day time servers, go figure. Incidentally, is there any servers out there that actually have day/night cycles? If so can someone point them to me. Sick of these carebear day only servers. -

This is a game about survival and you do it anyway possible. If having to kill someone to take what little food and water they have is a must then so be it. Personally I don't shoot on sight. I will try to communicate first and watch for any signs of hostility before I open fire. Players should be the biggest threat over the zombies because we are unpredictable, well most of us are. The zombies should definitely be a threat but it is way to easy to run through a whole town infested with them with out any worry. Personally the only people who shoot on sight are the players who are going for this game strictly for pvp. If you are sick of being killed on sight then use more caution. I don't enter towns or cities running full tilt. That's a sure way to get shot. Scope out the area, check for zombies, if you see none chances are someone has cleared them out and could possibly be waiting for unsuspecting survivalists to come through.
