I'm pretty sure it's a modified RV 2 engine which they call 2.5, not the RV 3. I'll look for the link if you really want it.

Electro is the only city I have fps in. Everywhere else I'm usually running about 40+ fps. Textures = Very High. Quality = Very High except Clouds and shadows which are on High. Rendering = AA - Normal, Alpha to Coverage - All Trees + Grass. Edge Smoothing - FXAA Very High. HDR - Low. Ambient Occlusion - Enable. Post Process - High. Specs in sig

A0 is pretty big. A1 might be a better size and really all depends on the actually dimensions of the map itself. The map looks to be more around a 24x36 which you then could make into 36x48 but that's pretty damn big. Never mind. The map is almost perfectly square. So A0 could be a decent size. For those who are wondering that's 33.1"

You are not supporting anything by creating this thread. All you're doing is whining and complaining. As the previous posters stated this is "ALPHA" and therefore not even close to being optimized. Honestly if you do not like this answer or the ones previous, you should come back when the game goes into beta and ask this question again.

Then why did you even bother making this thread? And yes simpletons is the perfect word to use. EA/Activision/Blizzard make games for simpletons.

I agree somewhat. More towns/cities will get added or the layouts of them changed but you could print the base map without the spawn locations added and just put them in themselves.

@ OP. Not every game is going to made for "you". Not everything is going to be enjoyable for the "masses"(simpletons). Maybe you should have done some research on what DayZ is about before buying the pre-alpha.

We are "TESTING". Do you honestly think that if they implemented features that should be killing us that we'd be getting a lot of testing done? Relax people, this game is far from being close to complete and they have more stuff coming along the way. I want to see more zombies but wouldn't get much done in the way of testing if I had to dodge zombies all the time. Hell, I also think the game speed is way too fast for the size of the map. Gameplay as it is right now feels more like a twitch shooter.

This doesn't always work and sometimes all servers show up with 300+ ping for no reason.

Why do these threads exist? DayZ is not a CoD/BF/ARMA game. It's suppose to kick your ass and make you think about your choices. Right now we have it easy as we're are "TESTING" features that are in the game right now and we are to "TEST" further features as they get added. I for one think the heart attack feature is awesome and sorry rambo folks, guess you should try and make friends and stop killing people if you need medical aid.

About time. First of all your are "NOT" allowed to put "NO KOS, PVE ONLY, KICK FOR <INSERT REASON HERE> or PRIVATE" as per DayZ's server rules.

30+ players only here. I don't really get the point to playing with less than 10 players. May as well just go buy a single player survivor game.

Regular and hardcore servers are different and that's it.

Jesus, this thread is dead, over, finished. I concluded that the OP was on the stable branch. I tested on the exact server, got the exact messages which I screened shot and posted and I did not die. Therefore the OP got trolled by server messages, confused it with having a heart attack and died to, lag, dsync, shot, or a glitch. Case closed. /thread

You were most likely sniped and didn't even hear the shot as sound is really buggy at the moment.

You got trolled. The message is definitely a MOTD. I'm 100% positive that status messages such as those would appear in red.

I'm actually going to try it on that exact server and I will let this entire thread know the results. Cheers.
