Also, increasing your settings may actually net you more fps believe or not. Oh, I just noticed my ambient occlusion is on, usually turn that off as it nets me about 10 more fps

interesting. I just recently bought an R9 270X OC and now I don't dip below 30 fps in cities at all. Out in the open I'm at 50 fps. I'll post a screen shot of my settings when I get home. Also specs are in my signature.

I totally agree. I see that he wanted to build a large game but is limited because of the RV engine, which has been rebuilt for DayZ mind you, but it is still not an MMO engine. Secondly, I stated this many pages back, is the playerbase. I truly don't think Mr. Hall expected players to behave the way they are right now in game. I don't think he was expecting people to be running around playing ARMA 2 on this new Chernerus that was built but that falls on to what they gave us to test right now. "Hey guys, let's see how well these players can survive in our Alpha. Wait, why is everyone just running around killing eachother?? WTF have I done!!! I've created a monsters!!! NOOOOOO!!!!!" Ok, I went off on a bit of a tangent at the end but I'm pretty sure I'm close :P

As a matter of fact, almost all the issues that people seem to rage about I have never had. So yes, I would put this in or check the bug section and vote up :thumbsup: Oh, forgot to add, did you switch from regular to hardcore?

Unfortunately no as there is no launcher for the game besides steam. With that I mean you don't click on your play DayZ button and it pops open a separate launcher. That's usually how other games have a test server.

Do you not know how to think outside the box? Ya sure, there isn't much of a challenge in shooting an animal to gut it and prepare it for cooking, as long as you have all the tools. Oh, what's that? You have no ammo? What? You wasted on KoS'ing? Oh that's too bad. What's that you say? You're hungry and have no food? Boy, bet you wish you weren't playing CoDZ and actually tried surviving.

Doubtful. I only speak to people using phrases such as, "Freeze, are you friendly, drop your gun or i'll shoot, give me your food, I'm taking your blood whether you like it or not, enjoy this this disinfectant"

Has nothing to do with pve servers but everything to do with handing out weapons like candy. Yes, this is an Alpha test and we've been testing weapons for two months now. Time to tone it down a notch and add a little bit more survival into the test.
