Highlander, I don't think you really understand the type of game DayZ is. This is not some fairy tale land where we need to go and slaughter pigs for meat and then collect bird feathers. This is a survival game with, hate to break it to ya, PERMADEATH. Well, some what permadeath. It's now turned into more of a Diablo death than anything. Get killed, run back to corpse, get shit back. Except in this case the corpse run might be impossible unless you have buddies with you. Anyway, all adding skills is going to do is promote bland gameplay of people sitting around doing nothing. They are just gonna go find a spot to hide and repeat a mundane task over and over until they max out their skill, then rinse and repeat

Actually I read it as they decided to make a story up about the issue. You know, instead of coming out and going "OMFGH4X0RZ" The OP put a nice spin on his story with a lovely pointed hat and magic

So a video is showing a hacker pressing his magic button that causes people to not be able to use weapons? Please, spare me. In fact desync is the number one reason why people can't equip weapons, use items, open doors or even vault. This has been around through all BiS games. It's the shit network code so please, don't use the hacker excuse when you get killed.

No No and No. This is the garbage that would destroy this game. I can see it now, sit in corner, shoot zombies 24/7, become leet. Again, NO!!! Skill comes at the users end, the one controlling the mouse.

For arguments sake, why do "you"(as in the 3pp people) choose to play only 3pp? And be honest because it is going to be easy to tell that you are full of shit.

I was having this issue yesterday and it appears to be getting worse. It's the network code I believe and if they haven't fixed since ARMA don't expect a miracle here

I had mentioned this in a thread a month ago, 3pp and 1pp shouldn't even exist on the same kind of servers. Just separate the two and we can call it a day.

Didn't read everything but as for the wells, the water is probably coming from tainted rivers or ponds and if its not, remove about 80% of them

The problem is that some players have friends who only play world of DayZ craft. This puts that person, who enjoys playing in 1pp, to either not play with his friend or get cheaply killef by someone who normaly would not be able to see them.

But but but.... think of the server hoppers....

I play on one server. Balota Book Exchange - Hardcore. Today my session has been lost twice and this has never happened before. I watched my friend run in one spot for over a minute and I couldn't open any doors then bam, session lost. Anyone else having issues today?

In DayZ there is more risk than in games like PS2. Imagine if you lost all certs in PS2, then that game actually becomes good. And also, people are still beta testing PS2 that came out 2 years ago

What really sucks is it is hard to tell if it's from the hosters end of the horrible server architecture that has plagued all BiS games
