What are you in game settings? I've got the R9 270X and the 3770k and I don't even come close to getting up to 80 fps.

Well there is one map in BF that I find to be absolutely amzing. Not sure what the name of it is but it's the one where the storm slowly rolls in and get super intense. Now that is the kid of weather I'd love to see in DayZ :p

I stopped playing BF after 2142, the franchise went to shit after that. And I do own 3 and 4 for the PC but don't play them. And if you learned to read, I said outside of the new hangout city for WoW. Of course there is 100+ players in the city. Oh and what's the biggest raid size now? 20/25? Hardly MMO material, right?

BF and CoD are toted as mmo's. Hell WoW is an MMO and you'll be lucky to see more than 10 people outside of whatever is the new hangout city.

Well, you can't really judge an unfinished product on what it is until it's finished. My vote for the "ALPHA" was deathmatch. My vote will maybe change once the game is complete.

Well having this thread closed isn't working so I'm just going to post my updated specs. My specs are as followed: P8Z77-V LE Plus MOBO / i7-3770k @ 4.4 ghz / 16gb G-Skill 1600Mhz / Gigabyte R9 270X 2gb / 120gb SSD with windows installation only / 120gb SSD with Steam and DayZ installed. In game settings Video: Rendering Resolution @ 1920x1080 / VSync Enabled User Interface: Resolution @ 1920x1080 Textures: Video Memory - Auto / Texture Detail - Very High / Texture Filtering - Very High Quality: Objects - Very High / Terrain - Very High / Clouds - High / Shadows - High Rendering: AA - Normal / Alpha to Coverage - All Trees + Grass / Edge Smoothing - SMAA Normal / HDR Quality - Low / Ambient Occlusion - Enabled / PP - Normal I've been playing mainly on the experimental branch so I get a stable 60 fps that drops down to about 35 in the cities. Mind you Svetlojarsk does kill my fps quit a lot. It actually drops down to around 20 in that city so hopefully the devs are aware of the performance there still and are working on it some more.

Bike helmets should only absorb impact. If a blow is strong enough it could easily knock you out as your head and brain are still getting rattled around inside the helmet. Although punching a player wearing a bike helmet with bear knuckles should result in a broken hand.

I think the experimental branch has an illusion of friendly due to gear being harder to acquire. I'm finding that the easier it is to acquire gear the more asshats come out of the woodworks.

Oops, yes, I see that. Did you modify and of the games .cfg files? If not try verifying the integrity of the game cache.

Well the game is definitely not optimized. What actually happens when the game crashes? Do you get the message "DayZ in not responding", blue screen or does it just crash with no message?

Your fps is pretty much on par with this alpha build. There is not much you can do to increase your fps unless you want to lower your settings and resolution back into the Wolfenstein look

Let's add loot all over the place to make this survival game not about survival.

Pfff, what's an invisible player/zombie or two to worry about? People are going to scream hacks either way. Just put it out damnit :p
