... so lets throw all other guns out of the window, limit our variety in firearms, and make most people have the same damn guns. SOUNDS LIKE A GREAAAAAAAT IDEA!

Remember that creepy radio mystery? Here is the real-life radio station of it, abandoned, in Povarovo, Russia. So much DayZ in this....

Add this place to the game, please, and thank you. Because if you don't we're goin' to have some certain issueeesss. -
Most DayZ players want loot and action. They want to have a crazy, whacky, coastline adventure full of gunfights, one-punch K.O's, and 12 year old bandits who can't shoot for shit. Unfortunately, the action is condensed to the point where everyone who wants some goes to the same exact fucking lace.
-
By doing this, you remove 95% of what DayZ is about right now- PLAYER INTERACTION.

Anyone who attacks someone for identifying themselves as a gamer who also plays games really needs to rethink their prejudices.

I don't think you like freedom of choosing how you want to play. -

SKS : can't hit over 200m
hannibaldaplaya replied to SerasVictoria (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
If you want to make the guns less accurate, make it so that your character shakes a bit and can't keep a steady aim for eternity, unless they are prone or the gun is resting on, say, a sandbag. This way, you don't have to add ridiculous spread. -

I love how bluntly you said that. lol -
People see Frankie's videos. People start to like Frankie and DayZ. People play DayZ. People have low chance of encountering Frankie in DayZ, but if they do, they throw their normal guidelines out the window. Most people who have played DayZ know who Frankie is, and are less likely to shoot someone on sight when they can tell the fellow is someone with a tiny bit of internet frame. His voice is easy to spot, and since he isn't known for killing every person he sees, most people play along with the guy. off-topic; My opinions on Frankie are mixed.

Welcome to the world of spreading malware- Fake hacks are a good way to spread your botnet or whatever. -
FoV abuse, scatter when snapshoting, on-screen dot and zoom issues
hannibaldaplaya replied to FrostDragon's topic in Suggestions
The simple fix to the FOV problem is to fix the zoom so it is the same for all weapons / zoom. Then players can easily go with their preference. -
Friendlies are plentiful in DayZ- At least, for me
hannibaldaplaya posted a topic in General Discussion
I hear a lot of stuff about KoS. It is primarily complaining about it, suggesting (terrible) humanity / morale systems, and bashing those who do it. Now, getting shot on sight can be frustrating, but friendlies do exist in DayZ. I am either a very charismatic and likeable guy (this is unlikely) or most players I meet are just really nice and not looking to murder everyone they see (this is likely.) Sometimes, I even get lucky, encountering armed men who run into me. The best part? They don't shoot at me, even from being startled. Several times I have met friends and joined groups with random people I've met, a good few of them being armed. Two guys with M4's, fully customized, all pristine, for example, let me join up with them and head to NEAF, where I found a Long Range Scope and acted as their bait (a bit inhumane, but, hey, they were the ones with the guns). Other people I have met were even cooler. One guy I encountered had a clan of like, 8, on the server. We met up with them, I grabbed myself a mosin, and made our way from Berenzino to NWAF. A long, tiring walk, but worth the loot. By the time we got there, I had made numerous friends and had yet to be shot in the back or mistreated or whatever you want to call it- I was literally invited into the clan afterwards, despite being some random guy they had met in Berenzino. One guy I met was on Experimental, who was in Elektro, when I was running around shouting on my mic about books and how I was the librarian and was here to confiscate all the missing books. I joined him, collecting all the books I could. We later starved to death in Chernogorsk. Fun. I've yet to backstab anyone, though I have been backstabbed once before. Other then that, most people I have met have either not shot at me, left me alone, or embraced me. I've been killed on sight, I think, two - three times, and I've been playing for 60+ hours. Maybe I'm just lucky. Maybe I am full of charisma. Maybe its because I play on Hardcore servers with a 60% - 70% population.- 32 replies

FoV abuse, scatter when snapshoting, on-screen dot and zoom issues
hannibaldaplaya replied to FrostDragon's topic in Suggestions
So that you can easily set your FOV.. they only need to fix the zoom issues. If you only have it in the .cfg, you make it unassecable to normal players who may get sick from low FOV... -

I would love the sky to pulsate yellow as I see trees in the distance fall down and Zeds perhaps looking like players? Fake sounds of gunfire and pulsating objects. Yes. -
Yes, I will handcuff snipers on apartment roofs and drag them to the edge, then I will push them off the roof.

General targeted "feel" of the game once it goes beta/gold
hannibaldaplaya replied to themightylc's topic in Suggestions
Zombies are so bugged now and melee is broken so dying due to zeds feels cheap / frustrating, especially when they glitch into a wall to get you. -

Add acid so I can forcefully put fresh spawns into a deep, hallucination-filled trip. To keel the trips realistic, some devs might have to do some extensive "testing" though. ;D

As long as we don't get 12 year old characters who act like supar animu badasses, why not?

.. if we want an authentic survival experience, we should have bows, makeshift weapons, and various arrows. Poison arrows sound fun. A silent way to sicken / weaken someone, forcing them to deal with athe effects of the poison. It would be cool to use them to blur another player's vision, make 'em trip out and shake all about, which would make them an easier target for another arrow or some bullets.
