There are some, already, except they've done it a lot better now. The rare items are mainly COSMETIC, meaning you can wear your rares. For example- THE RIDER'S JACKET. It is a rare, yet super cool leather jacket that will make you look particularly cool. Now, this one is practical, but still pointless as it has no advantages over the normal 1911- THE ENGRAVED 1911.

If I hit you in your head with an arrow, and you're not wearing any sort of helmet, or if it doesn't hit that helmet, I'm pretty sure you're going to at least go unconcious and probably die. Crossbows / bows do not have to be useless. Both bullets an arrows can kill. Bullets are just more effective, but really, if you get hit by an arrow in your chest or your head, it is going to hurt, same with a bullet.

10 minutes is fine if you're blatantly server hopping. But 10 minutes when I get 'session lost', or when I get kicked, or when I'm rejoining a server after taking a piss for super precautions, that just isn't right. The timer would be fine if it could tell what you were doing. I think it should go up only after you have switched a server every 5 - 10 minutes, or something, or on a server you actually get into the game and pick up items.

Uh, does this place have freedom of speech? I really don't see what is wrong with it, and why he should be warned, especially with your moderator hat on. I can see calling him out personally, but not as a staff member.

I've met so many friendlies. I've met friendlies at the FUCKING MILITARY CAMP AT NWAF. They exist in this game. They're just rare.

You can effectively survive with a Rider's Jacket and Tracksuit pants. That's a grand total of 6 slots! All you have to do is eat everything you find, and keep a can opener and small essentials in your jacket.

Why would you use hacks for better camera angles... ? Wait for the game to release private hives and modding capabilities. ._.

Better safe then sorry. Destroy them, so they can't be circulated if you die. Plus, whats the point in mowing down people with your infinite M4 magazine that you got off a hacker? You're no better if you abuse items they cheated in, especially infinite ammo mags, as in this game dying to such wipes potentially hours of work. Keep to your sniping, Rick.

I can't wait for the AKM, so I can carry two on me at all times. When I encounter a player with an M4A1, I'll knock him unconcious, replace his M4A1 with a nice AKM, and blast the M4A1 to smithereens right next to him. Then he'll learn to use a real man's gun.

Why? In Experimental I spawned on a mountain overlooking NEAF. I was able to sprint there, and in under 10 minutes, be geared to the teeth. I had a loaded gun, a nice large backpack, a TTSKO jacket, and some other goodies including a UK assault vest. This was on a near-full server. Now, what does this have to do with Balota? Well, if Balota is the reason we don't see southern spawns, that's absolutely stupid. NEAF is practically the same as Balota- Balota has the tents, sure, but those only spawn ammo, attachments, and other goodies for once you have a gun. NEAF can still get you a nice weapon, locked and loaded, without much hassle. Plus, with the new, larger servers, I fear 80% of them will be at the Northeast coast. Why not spawns going from the Northeast coast to the Southwest coast? Both the Southwest spawns and the Northeast spawns put you in places where guns and military loot is only a stone throw's away. And if you can't get anything at the NEAF but some lead flung at your general direction, just follow the rails til you're near NWAF and swim in mags and high-quality firearms. I don't see why we don't spawn all along the coast- Balota isn't a problem. Plus, why not make it a Civilian airport if its military airfield-ness is so disrupting to the southwest coast? Due to the primarily Northeast spawns, everyone is isolated to a small area and people like me who head inland, north, south, or west, find ourselves with little player interaction. It gets boring. It forces us to head back to a small strip of deathmatch coast to meet anyone. 100 player servers are going to need more spawns, and why not just have them all along the coast? That way everything is nice and spread out, and yet the coast will still be a hotspot.

I got bored my first day in DayZ and tried to ambush three guys shooting zombies north of Cherno with my M4A1, which I thought would be accurate while prone for 100m shots, I was wrong. Despite this, my spraying into them resulted in one of them dying, another being wounded, and the last one coming up and behind me and flanking me. I learned how unreliable the M4A1 was and also learned that retreating when your initial plan fails is a good idea!

The only problem is that animations in DayZ can't be interrupted currently and aren't necessarily smooth, as we can see with eating, since you can't just drop your beans or stop throwing them into your mouth and run. You become completely immobile and you can't do anything on the go, that needs to change.

Its on stable, though, too...

Not having an issue in Experimental, or an issue in Stable, or an issue at all. I just lag all the time, lol.

Whenever I load into DayZ, I have to wait around 4 minutes for my FPS to get steady. During these 4 minutes, I am completely vulnerable. Today I lost connection in the Solnichniy factory, so I joined another server, ran into the factory at 4 - 5 FPS, waiting for it to jump up to the normal FPS, for a guy to knock me unconcious as all of my shots failed to connect. This would also prevent hopping into bases into the future. Perhaps we can spawn in the woods or something when we log on, near the area we were at? For people like me, while things are loading in, I don't want to be at a huge disadvantage, and get killed by some cocky freshspawn as I just have. Sure, you may say, "git gud", but I can't stop the game from lagging as it loads in, and I knew this was going to happen, but I had no choice but to load into another server. I even tried to explain this to the guy who was about to knock me out but he didn't seem to care.

There are a handful of people in DayZ. Not all are assholes.
