IMHO this is outraging and a slap in the face for all day1 supporter/customers and the fanbase! Don't get me wrong, i still want to see the finished product, but i (!) feel betrayed as a fan/supporter. For me, the hype and faith is somewhat over... that was the last piece missing to make me think that BI (and Rocket) are using the DayZ franchise as some quick money-cow (wich they milk pretty hard imho). Yeah, i read the disclaimber on purchase, and yeah... i know its alpha (yadayada) ... but on purchase i just had some faith into BI/Rocket. I predict in 1 1/2 or 2 years (and some more discounts) they will release a finished product with missing content/broken content. But i hope they prove me wrong! -

This is imho the biggest problem in dev -> community communication. I think the dev-tracker is slow, clunky (because if you want to get som context you need to klick through like 3-5 pages of x different sites in some cases) and there is so much unrelated stuff going on. Rocket stated that he/the dev-team doesn't want a community-manager because he wants to fit this position. I mean, i'd be fine if he does... but lets look back, how much "important" informations did he gave us in the last 4 weeks? Edit : I know, that sounds whiny... but i am getting pretty much frustrated on the Dayz-SA. :( -

I spend many hours in dayz and near coast + i guess -1,5km near north loot is extremly rare (cause most stuff allready looted)... i am speaking of packed servers of course. I don't like empty/near empty servers. ;) -

Hey guy's & devs. One little request here (again)... love this patch so far, but please spread the spawn far more. I know for SURE this is not much of code and won't cause any gamebreaking bugs etc. (cause i was fooling around in the mod a bit) and i guess it will make the game with current zeds "edit: and no respawning loot" much more playable/fun. Why? "edit:" I just respawned seven times in the same spot with no loot nearby and starved! With current zeds and the oldschool "spawn on the beach" its not much fun (imo) because zed -> maybe bleed -> using t-shirt -> wont find any loot -> die -> rinse and repeat. Why not insert much more spawnpoints around the map (far from "hotspots" like airfields and stuff).No loss, only win imho (gamewise) cause you'll never know if you spawn near your corpse (what pretty much player aim for) and spawning/looting would be much more fun. ;) Edit: some stuff i missed -

Ah ok, softcore was fine for me. All what you described seems like the "reciving" is a problem of server>client communication. And guys, pretty please try to discuss outside of this thread. Lets try to not let this thread end up like the last "pending thread". Thanks in advance. :) -

Little Report here : -"Session Lost" after 15~20 Minutes (low and high-pop servers) with 3 more people. All have different ISP and no firewalls. -"Reciving" on items mouse-over for 30-40 seconds every 3-4 minutes. It only seems to happen on hardcore, regular seems fine. Maybe the hardcore-hive buggy? -

Any source? Just found some external (twitter) notes from yesterday? Thought they got their shit streight... ;( Edit: As mentioned earlier in this thread... Dev-Team : Please intruduce a proper source of informations on things like exp. builds/changelogs. Imho it sucks to read through reddit/twitter... yeah, dev-tracker is there, but there are soooo much of unimportant things, too. -

wow, don't know what to say, ... but the current exp. is a total mess imho. xD Keep rubberbanding + (new for me) got some random unconscious. Thumbs down. Yeah, its alpha... but testing isnt fun/remotly possible at the current stage imho -

I totaly agree with Angr, to be honest. They sure do meetings every once in a while, combine the information (what went right, what went wrong, how are things going generaly)... write this down in 3-4 sentences and post as a read only -

Who needs more then 10? Basicly all the new stuff / identities (zeds, loot, animals later vehicles etc.) and new mechanics might push to a level where no server could handle the game anymore. It is yet pretty "expensive" in terms of hardware / bandwidht usage and imho i fear if everything is in place its gonna be impossible to get this game running with 100+ people on a server, cause everything is tested (as far as i know) only with max. 40 players. It makes a hugh difference cause more players -> more data needs to be sended/recived & worked on ; And i think the physics need to be done serverside, try imagin a item is getting moved by a player and 10 other player "look" at it, so the data is getting hugh ... now think about elektro , maybe 50 players in it, all manipulating the world (items etc.) ... guess no server could handle it, unless they really rework the whole stuff. OR they raise the playercap now and look if everything is working as intended with 100+ players on a server. EDIT : I dont think anyone will directly be affected by this scenario, but i longterm the game isnt getting to a point where it should be (more players/features) but as i wrote in my first post, it will suck either way : features might get deleted , maxplayers staying on 40 or developement is going to be delayed pretty much. -

Well, this post is dedicated to my post on page 20ish ; 2h playtime, massive problems,bandwidth usage has been greatly increased + no respond from dev side. ;( To be honest, i know its alpha and i know many people working on this game (and not everyone on bugfixig etc.) but please devs, get your things together... i have posted bout 40 bugs (non-game-breaking / optical most the time) on your system, i am testing the game as much as possible (cause got no hand on server-software) but f*****king please read my post on page 20 ; all your work is going to break later on if you dont consider some major featuers! Well, i know this does not directly belong into this post, but i hope it'll get read by the right person. I know, alpha & stuff and optimization hasnt started yet, but i am just in fear of some major delays in the development cause i think the devs are not taking some big thinks not into consideration. My problem is the current way they handle problems and introduce new things (server-distributed weather effects ; respawn / spawning of players / items zombies) , i did take a in depth look on Server-load (traffic and stuff) and i have noticed that the serverload is constantly rising (even without server distributed weather etc.) ... only on a 40 man packed server. Lets think about the max. player/server cap about to come, guess i somewhere read about 150 (might be wrong here), so all of the serverload is getting trippled maybe (without physics etc. !!!). So imho the dev should raise the playercap right NOW to the level they want to have it and then throw in new stuff, cause i fear they will bring up all those nice thinks (btw i love them) and later on they might notice "hmn, damn.... all this stuff wont work with 100+ Players, so lets keep the game to max. 50 players", the game will be delayed by a hugh amount or many features wont happen.... all of this would suck imho. Its like designing a board-game for 12 players, putting some real fancy stuff on the board and in the "optimization-phase" they notice they cant fit more then 4 players on the board. ;( -
Hey guys and devs, i might sound somewhat butthurt because it just happend to me and my friend and i think it is a very bad habbit from some of the playerbase. First i will tell you a short story and then my suggestion. The situation was that we (me and a friend) were looting neaf inside the cammo-building. A few minutes later we could hear footsteps and voices. We prepared ourselfes for an encounter and talked to them, we said we were armed and if they try to enter, we will shot them in selfdefense. We were talking for like 10 minutes kinda rp like and they open and closed the front door, started eating and reloading outdoors, so my friend and i had our eyes on the door. Suddenly someone came up from behind , killed/shot us unconscious ... it was one of them, cause he talked in voice that he has "killed" us and its good to enter, after calling us pussies.... -_- Sure, we could have checked the other rooms/upstairs like every 20 seconds but i don't think there should be a possibility of using serverhopping for a better positioning esp. inside of buildings. My wish/suggestion is a protection for this kind of situation. Like you can't spawn near to another player (maybe like 20m diameter). This could cause some problems for sure, cause if you log in and a player ist near your logout spot you would need to be teleported a few meters away with collision-checking (you dont want to spawn in a wall/tree whatsoever). The picture shows my idea in a badly drawn fashion. But this kind of behaviour just really pisses me off. ;) Hope you guys like the

Nothing drug-related.... but if you got a list of fav-servers (like i do) and want to experience the game in a whole (day AND night) with a fulltime job... well, you can't! Unless you browse for time, which sucks... i just want (yeah, i know... sounds like GIMMEGIMMEGIMME!) to play, notice how the sun sets..... getting paronoid on the lack of light and be happy when the sun rises again..... in one session of gaming. IMHO the day/night cycle breaks the game in terms of enjoying the game in a whole. ;( -

I know, it has been posted in suggestion-forum a while ago but it didn't get much attention (i guess)... But Devs, i beg you... shorten the day/night cycle...... i love the night (and its playing) but i wont be able to see daylight again (unless i serverhop every night, which i hate!!) ... so please introduce something like a 2 hour cylce (1h day/ 1 h night). Sounds awesome! <3 Can't wait to get my hands on all these nice new things. ;) Even though i am not a huge fan of sub-hives/private hives at that stage of the game. (Not that i am a fan of it after all, cause i fear a big community split, but i think it should have gotten a lower priority) Non-the-less , keep the good work up. Beans for you guys! Well, i like the idea, cause i like playing in the dark. But my main issue with timezone servers that i will never see the day(z)light again i guess.... even if it's 5-10 hours for day/night cycle, chances are high that you might never see daylight. (cause of my work-schedule being uneven). I know, many will hate it... but i would prefer a cycle of maybe 30 minutes up to an hour.... cause even with low sparetime you can enjoy the whole game in day and night. ;)

114008 = Easylie best patch this far. About 1 hour on experimental running it: No rubberbanding nor micro-lags/desyncsDidnt notice any random noises (zombies/sodas getting opened)Better collision (?) at least it feels like, playing on a 1st only server and not getting stuck on any corner. Maybe cause of no lag?Love it, game is play/testable right now again. :) -

Well, the patch is pending and not live yet, or did you test it on an experimental server? If so, nice they are up. Gotta test it out by myself. ;)
