    Seagulls fly out to sea to die. Survivors in DayZ go to Balota for the same reason.

    "Healthy" indicates you are within the hydration/energy range to be regenerating blood, but you are at max blood. It's a great position to be in.

    I wouldn't at all put it past BI to add some sort of extra weight from the bayonet (makes sense anyway). And as mentioned, melee strikes with attached bayonets aren't enabled yet, so why bother.

    Magnum definitely exists, shotguns definitely do not. I found .357 rounds in both military barracks and residential. Also for the Mosin guy, I've found TWO of them in cars, oddly enough. FYI.

    Hopefully they do. Since the entire reason I bought the card I have is to eventually implement SLI. Of course now I can't find the damn thing anywhere to get a second one....

    Use this map. http://dayzdb.com/map/chernarusplus#4.051.089 Entering and exiting a town on a main road, you will see street signs. The signs when you're leaving a particular city will have a red line through it like a no smoking sign. On the opposite side of the road, you will see a matching sign without the red line indicating you are entering that particular town. Reference the map I've linked, since the signs are all in Russian. Find the match and translation on the map. And then you'll know where you are.
  10. I should have guessed that you'd be in TMW :) After I found your video the other day on Youtube, I've been linking it here as often as I could. You'll see it sporadically in a few threads. Truly the most informative video I've seen on anything DayZ to day. An excellent piece of work, Doctor :)

    Best place for FNX mags

    It stands to reason that the magazines would be more rare than the actual pistol. As fleeing survivors would probably only take one or two pistols at most, but as many mags as they could carry. Having said that, with patience you will find them. Took me a day or so, but I have 3 now which is perfect for a sidearm. The only thing that needs to be fixed, is you should be able to single chamber rounds into the pistol as you can with the M4. Since ya know, you can do it in real life.
  12. 1. Due to the size of the map, being able to find someone or see them as soon as they spawn is definitely a rare occurrence. And if you die as a fresh spawn, who cares? You lose absolutely nothing. Hell, try to blitz them and score a lucky knockout. Might get yourself some really quick gear :) 2. Nothing can stop you from doing this. But why on earth do you want to spawn near the killzone? Player choice, and a bad one at that (in my opinion). 3. You must be unlucky. It's the exact opposite. The towns to the north are loaded, always. The absolute BEST experience my buddy has had after spawning was when he spawned at Novy Sobor. I was able to reach him in peace. We got him geared quickly from a combination of the extras I was carrying and the loot we found. It was great. The new spawn system is perfect, imo.

    I'll test out the theory. But I'm pretty sure I did this with a baseball bat, crowbar, and pipe wrench on different occasions and they took a beating to go down. As mentioned above, a pipe wrench the size of my forearm should most definitely clobber a zombie with little trouble. But i'll definitely test this out.
  14. I'm far from a bandit. I try not to kill someone if at all possible. I find the uneasy player interactions much more interesting. When you run into someone and both of your guns are drawn, but nobody starts shooting right off the bat. That's what really makes this game unique to me. Well, one of the many things. But if someone decided to kill me without asking questions for whatever reason, they don't deserve to have some artificial marker on their heads or bodies indicated that they did so. Then people who choose to play as ruthless bandits will be punished by pretty much everyone else just for choosing that playstyle. PLUS, the spawn system was changed yesterday. So shore camping is no longer a valid argument. People are spawning everywhere now. But even if the spawn system didn't change, we do not need to punish people for killing others regardless of reason. To me, this is just a whiny argument from players who are killed often because they simply do not understand how to play this game. My character has probably completed 4-5 laps around the map, stopping by just about every military spawn site to perfect my gear (still haven't found a damn bipod). I avoid Balota, it's suicide. If you go anywhere near there in anything less than completely decked out gear, you're insane. Unless you're a fresh spawn trying to land an easy melee kill to pillage a body. Totally legit tactic. But if we had some BS karma system, a player who chose to do that would also be flagged as a "bandit" regardless of the amazingly unlikely chance that you can accomplish that feat.
  15. I really like the stomach/hydration/energy/blood/health system. I don't really think it needs to be changed at all (I know you're not suggesting that). As mentioned before, I think Zombies once fully implemented will be the biggest hurdle for players to deal with to get the "easy" water. And it should definitely carry risk of infection/disease, albeit a much smaller one than ponds. I also think applying alcohol tincture/disinfectant to the spigot should eliminate that risk entirely, and this effect should persist for about an hour. Sounds legit to me. Clear the Zeds. Disinfect. Chug it down until you're full. Fill your canteens/bottles. Good to go :) Food, being that it's based on RNG, isn't always a sure thing. I'll take whatever loot spawn balances BI wants to throw in there. But eventually we're going to see hunting/gathering/cannibalism. So we'll see how all that goes. Otherwise I think the hidden meter system BI designed is excellent :)

    Melee all around needs adjustments. Shouldn't take me 7 swings to kill a lone Zombie with a huge crowbar. Once Zombies are fixed and increased in numbers, hopefully they adjust the melee system also. A little for PvP, and a lot for PvE.

    Spawn Changes Too Soon!

    I like the change as well. No reason to corral new players along the coast to be hunted. Again if people want to kill others, they're going to have to earn it.

    I think my favorite of what you said is definitely the vehicle section. I really like having anything involving vehicles ultra realistic. I'm still on the fence on whether I'd like to see aircraft in the game, but I wouldn't absolutely hate it. I know all the medics out there are loving your Medical additions, especially the surgeries. I dig it too. As far as having multiple maps, I wonder if that would be difficult to do. You need a separate server for each map. I'm definitely for expanding the map over time. The more realistic and immersive this game is, the happier I am. These are the kinds of ideas I like to see, not effin' morality/karma systems and skills...

    Are you certain you had full blood? It's a very slow process. I had bandaged my buddy after he was mauled. Took 2 saline bags, plus healthy eating and drinking. After a few minutes he stopped groaning. Then a few minutes later the server restarted, and his character was wiped and returned to shore. :|

    Frame Lock During Movement

    Anyone else having this problem since the patch? It's not a drop in FPS, it's a complete lockup of the screen when moving. Doesn't seem to matter if I'm in the forest or a town. Whenever I start to move, everything on the screen will completely freeze until I release the movement key. Otherwise framerate is fine. I can zoom, rotate, and look around just fine. As soon as I begin to move forward, my screen freezes until I release the movement key....strangest thing. Also when I spawned into the server for the first time, I was sick? I was full health when I logged out last time. lolAlpha

    Rolling Update Rev. 0.30.113925 M4 Gone?

    They mentioned reducing the spawn rate by 50% or greater this patch for the M4. Thank god.
