  1. They aren't guarding anything. They are looking for stuff just like you, they just have the capacity to kill you before you can get it. Fire stations/schools/offices tend to be better places to look for weapons, mostly Mosin/pistols but it's a start.

    Regeneration just won't start

I recall it being quite slow.

    KOS Hysteria

The problem with encouraging a cooperative style of play is that most people already have someone to cooperate with (grief squads certainly do) so adding reasons to cooperate with others doesn't server to reduce KOS.

    KOS Hysteria

I don't recall ever not being shot at in the mod, everyone I ever came across would shoot on sight (not necessarily winning). I don't recall a single friendly (apart from those I knew/met outside of the game). In that respect SA is no different just we don't start with a pistol I have met more people in SA who haven't tried to kill me than I ever did in the mod.
  5. Isn't there already an official bug tracker? There was one when Arma 3 was in alpha and I'm sure they used the same thing now for SA. Although I can't find a link so maybe not... Found something: http://feedback.dayzgame.com/my_view_page.php

I dont understand why there is no AUTO RUN KEY!!!

I put something heavy on my keyboard but I think it's stupid how auto run Is not already a feature. You could do it in Arma if you opened the Steam overlay while holding w but that n longer works. Why make things awkward for people, not like you can stop them putting things on their button and it doesn't actually add to the game.

    Two hands

Fantastic idea. I want to duel wield bananas.

    Teleported inside a wall...

Worked for a friend of mine (running and swinging at the wall).

Item condition - Worst idea ever

I like item condition. My beans took a bullet once, saved my life. Actually I've no idea if it works that way but would be cool. I keep my pistol in my "pants" as I figure that's where it's safest. Unfortunately things are not completely unusable when ruined, I would love to see your backpack get ruined and all your stuff spill to the floor (with a status message of course so you know what's happened).
  10. I recall a bottle silencer on I think Max Payne 3.

    Bandit to nice guy

Sounds like blatant racism/genocide to me.

    Real life zombie apocalypse

I suspect you would have far less to fear from other people in a real zombie apocalypse than you do in game. I would imagine people would be far more inclined to commit crimes (theft/murder/rape) than they currently are in society but also people would be far more vigilante than they currently are too. I think people would band together significantly more than people do in game.

    Weather and Survival

I used to like the rain/cold in the mod. I remember it raining one night and me and my friend hiding in a shed with a camp fire to warm ourselves up.

    A Massive Warning About ladders

Haha yes! I still hate opening gates.

    Question for game

The lines on your monitor update one after another, if they update at odd frequencies you often get part of one frame on the top and part of another on the bottom, that's called tearing. You might notice say the corner of a building being torn into 2 different places briefly when you turn and so on. VSync eliminates that by forcing the frame rate to certain thresholds. I believe it'll be 120/60/30/15 fps and so on. It can't improve your fps so if you are at 50 fps it will drop it to 30 fps to avoid tearing. Monitor your fps and if it tends to stay above 60 then no harm in having VSync on but if it fluctuates a lot then keep it off. I would err on the side of caution and just leave it off, particularly if you don't notice the tearing (I rarely ever notice it). It tends only to be an issue for large displays.

    Massive amounts of mouse lag

Not quite what you describe but the mouse in DayZ (and Amra) tends to be pretty bad. I have tried fiddling with a few settings but I can't quite get it feeling as natural as in most other FPS games.

    So Restraining . . . not helping

As VictorM said, your life is only as valuable as your gear. Surrender and you definitely lose anything of worth, run/fight and you have a chance to lose stuff of worth (or just combat log, get people moaning so it gets fixed sooner...). If I had a choice between guaranteed losing my stuff to someone else or a chance at surviving I would take the latter and if I did die then all my stuff is wrecked for them anyway. Never ever let yourself be restrained. In life it's slightly different but once restrained people can do anything to you...

    Spotting your enemy.

It's hard, hit the deck and start rolling around (q/e) like you're on fire until you can figure out vaguely where they are shooting from then have a look. Third person helps here as you can see while lying down (bind first/third person toggle to a convenient key). The easiest time to see them is when they are shooting. It is hard to spot people, even when my friend is just standing in front of me I have difficulty seeing him, let alone lying down in cover.

    A Massive Warning About ladders

Ladders - the scariest thing in the game.

    Avoidance and Armor

Didn't read it all, read getting fitter over time etc. I agree.

    Where is the rain?

Only ever seen it raining at night, it was great but every so often (seemed like a bug) it would instantly stop everywhere then instantly start up again. It really was quite nice though, would love to see it rain more often.
  22. All I can think is you get a friend to lure one near you then they run off and it goes for you. Stand with your back tot he wall and let it pound you. If it kills you well... perhaps it's just speeding up the inevitable and if it does punch you through the wall then perfect. My friend got punched into a building that took him a while to get out of (like you but a house). Other peoples suggestions sound less lethal though so try those :P.

    Let´s talk about FOV...

I think it was Chivalry, I used to use a mouse macro to change the fov, it was a bit clunky (open console, type some stuff, press enter) but it worked. I wonder if you could do something script wise to do it, after all it is only client side.
  24. Try getting a zombie to attack you, they often punch me through walls, maybe they can hit you out of it.

Should I invest my time in 1st Person Servers?

The super human zoom eyes is just supposed to represent the range of vision of the human eyes, that is a balance between the wide field of view and the fine acuity of the focal vision. Without a zoom you would only get to choose one or the other. Think of it as less of a zoom and more of a showing what's in a small area (your central vision) in a little more detail. Of course, with that respect the peripheral vision should then be slightly blurred.
