got geared up a bit. got the longrange scope and did some shooting on Z´s in long to mid/ distance. Went north for ammo / later helped friends and got shot near balota ( henche why i hate going there ) was so proud of "mosy" my trusted rifle. Axes and especialy fireaxes are my number one item at the beginning. There is just NO reason to not take it even if badly damaged. OFC at times you have to leg it to avoid the unclean/undead but as soon as you find THE axe its time for revenge. ( keep in mind to circlestrafe them counterclockwise and hack away. ) Oh and to "avoid airfields at all cost" I do that. If iam alone i go there at nighttimes. During the day might work but i get too attached to all my little bits and tibits. ^_^

indeed. best example..red orchestra 2. Had a HARDCORE dedicated to the bone community since the mod days. So what happens ? instead of going to refine what made RO good they water it down to appeal to the "masses". Almost ALL the veterans left. The fucking game was almost perfect. Now there is 3 gamemodes..Action - wich is shit wich crosshairs and less damage realism - wich is ok but sill not as hardcore. they added some silly level progression NOONE EVER ASKED FOR..fuck it...and other mechanics that..are a good idea on paper but tkae away from what made ro1 so fucking good. ( oh and the darkest hour mod, ofc ) and "classsic" - wich is a BAD ro1. ( and so many good people left this game behind..and the newbies still struggle with the level of teamwork that is employed when veterans enter the servers ) no just dont make this mistake, dont water it down..instead..MAKE IF FUCKING HARDER ! dont ever seperate "newbies" and "hardcore" never ever..your formula works at its core..just build...

It has been 14 days since launch ( of a ALPHA version of a game, heck i know from experience from working at publisher i KNOW what alpha means...) of which the first 3 days we got updates, later another update was announced coming out but hicks mentioned it would take another 6 hours, no update ever came. ( and man i waited..i even skipped on my redtube shedule for this ) Then they mentioned in a very hidden area of their tumblr, ( say what ? ) which by the way I doubt anyone ever reads the useless crap info on that (if ur anything like me u check here then rockets twitter then hicks twitter) that they were taking a week's vacation. ( i guess "useless crap also qualifies as "books" in your...book. ) Well its been a long time now ( let me remind you: been 14 days since launch ) and im going to be honest the lack of information coming from the devs gives me a very bad feeling, ( but where ? in your pants ? Your "wallet" ? buahha go get a job and work ... ) the same bad feeling I had when I bought war z and saw all the crap that was going on in there. ( so you have been there...did it all and now...your mouth tastes funny...well there is some news...drink water until you puke..) The other day I made a post about how we have received no information about the next update or an ETA or even something that says we wont be around for a while guys we will be back in around X# of days. ( given normal development cycles this is one of the more open things you could throw your money at..and people that throw their money at ALPAHS are suseally in their 25-40s and can AFFORT it....if you dont ? grow the fuck up ) My post got deleted which once again brought me back to that war z feeling, ( the feeling that i bought into some neboulus fad and man..i only get 20 a week from my parents to buy shit for myself ) their forums are a joke, if u say anything bad about them in any way shape or form u get banned or your post gets taken down. ( yeah well i was a dick tbh..but who sais i cant learn ? ) Please note I KNOW this is an alpha and im not complaining about them taking forever to release updates even though its starting to bother me as well, what im really mad about its the lack of communication between the devs and the community. you can drink from ponds too. It never made me sick, so i guess this isent functioning/activated as of yet. If it will be required to boil/purify the water it should be so that only from standing ponds you can get sick. NOT from little rivers.

i think wild animals whould stay away from zombies since they can smell the death on them. Bears should be rare as mentioned and hard to track/kill.

The B/W effect can last some time. Mine went on for around 1 day until it got better, slowly. I stoped having too much water bottels on me. There is no need since i allways stuff up on wells. Never had to clean a wound since i tend to be carefull and only approch zombies if i have the fireaxe.

I came across a suprising high number of friendly folks the last 2 days. One group suprised me at the military facility "the big needle". I was sick and just broke my leg. I was laying under the stairs and the stumbled upon me. They fixed me up nice. Vitamin and water. Made my leg work again. So thankfull :D I gave them the 3 red dot sights in trade for their good deed. We wished each other luck and parted. I suprised someone at the same spot later when i headed back coastside to pick up a friend. Came up behind him and watched him for a bit than made myself known and he shat his pants. No need to kill that brosef. Traded some things , chatted for a bit than parted again. I had a full mountain backpack in a hunting backpack for my friend so i legged it. Even a new fireaxe and food along with bandages and other little bits and bites. Felt really good to save his ass...he. I made it a rule to first get in healthy state before i head anywhere inland too far. Works fine so far. I try to avoid looking too "badass". Like the helmets and gasmasks...A tac vest whould be nice but other than that iam fine. And yes after a certain point there isnt much to do. No deer to hunt. No fireplaces to make ect.i Whould stack up some wood cabin for later use but just cant part from my precious...( dont get too attached...dont get too attached )

third person, fire axe..have fun. oh and circle counterclockwise. Or run at them fully charged.. the timing lags a bit behind..as stated in another post above. Train on the strollers. As soon s you have a fireaxe dont run away...
