There are meanies out there that use this to train their Shooting skills ;) Or just a bored sniper. See, concepts like "morals" are flexible in a post-apocalyptic Environment. Besides, a freshy can be a threat if he knows how to fistfight ;) So you are never really defensless, with the best weapon beign your witts and ofc experience. You see...there is no "right" or "wrong" playstyle in dayZ. There is only personal preferences. PLUS, given the real survival aspects will be fleshed out down the road People might think twice about wasting ammo on a freshy. Its funny , i went through several stages of "fuck this game i quit for a month" only to be back a day later on TS with the other armed Runners. :)

KOS will never cease to exist. Its a huge part of the "Horror" of what makes dayZ great. I guess IF private hives are comming you might find "hippy, treehugger, totaly friendly but ultimatly superboring" Servers.

Put in some varity OP. One life be the pantless AXE maniac. The next be a priest of a cult that only seeks new followers. Next be a Hero. Next, be a shopkeeper in berezino. And so on.

IF you logged at a SAVE place and find yourself a freshy on another Server or after serverhopping...DONT MOVE..dont even look around...Exit the game...get anothr beer, sacrifice said beer to the boobs of this world, find another , Login and HOPE your char is back the way it was before you turned into freshymode. Also, Bookmark Servers you Play on regulary. There are some pretty good hardcore Servers ( popecave and the DayZfinnland? Server are really good and full of maniacs, friendlys...ect ect... ) It happend to me ONCE that i logged off in some god forsaken house and upon reentry to the Server i tapped the Buttons impatiently wich made my char glitch out the wall and giving me a free ticket to the beach in the process.. Not the Server but the central HIVE. What causes the "back to freshy" after chaning Servers seems to be related to networkproblems of either said Server or other things and technicalitys i have no knowledge of. I had this happen to a friend of mine just yesterday...bad Thing was he moved around after beign freshydiZed..but we wherent even mad...game is early Alpha..we Play Long enough...shrug and ( get more beer ) apprecheate the fresh start :D

It is easy to get out of "Limbo rooms" run against a wall and Change your weapon. Works almost everytime.

no date for the stable branch whipe was given. Server maintenance happens every wednesday. If you want the latest Version of day Z, Switch over to Experimental. Be Aware that the EXP Branche is normaly whiped after every patch.

cant stomache Alpha Problems ? Move on...this guy has it right. Anotehr Thing....friend of mine encountered a dude he couldent kill. Shot him 4 times with a Shotty and 6 times with a Revolver...nothing happend... And this works. Ist just not iminent. During the last banwave it was hillarious to see whole Clans getting the boot "GLOBAL BAN" ...so funny...

if you find yourself "whiped" after switching Servers... DONT MOVE AROUND EXIT RIGHT AWAY find another Server and see if that helped. If not.... Print out a sticker that says "ALPHA" and apply to forehead. Also, find like 3-4 Servers you frequent regulary and stick to them.

ugh....dident the Forum Display a warning normaly ? Also...some Servers Display the "ATTENTION MAINTENANCE ON WEDNSDAY" in the lower left Corner too.

Sadly tho the amouth of stuff your carry around dosent have a effect...as of yet. The only Thing that Comes to mind is that, with a shouldered rifle you are a Little noiser. Everytime i start to downgrade after we all found the precious millgear my Folks just *sigh* "why whould you want a smaller pack ?" "Why you Change back to Jeans and hoddie, we all have TTKSO shit" stuff like that. For me personaly its a challange to downsize again since, lets be frank here, 90% of the shit we hoard and carry around probably will never be used/fired/thrown/vomited on anyways before the "you are dead" strikes. BUT ist a good exercice for what might come later... *besides...your silouete is much much smaller if you downsize to say, a crafted bag... I HOPE they will introduce a more elaborated Stamina/fatigue System. Havent read much about it recently but i guess it will come somewhere down the line. ( again probably sparking alot of whining from the *for the lack of a better word* "casual" crowd )

I am in good Spirits it will be. altho i see way too many negative Nancys, failtrolls and impatient buggers around here that i wish this Forum had a IGNORE function. People that dont understand that things are subject to Change and wont remain borked should just...leave and come back in 2-3 months...or..never and pick up H2HIV or whatever the next craze is... As for dev´s posting here. Well...seems that BI leaves them free Hand in that they themselfs can deceide what and where to post. And that is how it should be. It might have been better to hire some sort of Community Manager that is active. next Thing is that the trolling, fanboy-calling prevents any meaningfull discussion. Ist the same People posting the same lamentations over, and over and over without seemingly trying to Play EXP and give Input at the bugtracker or in any meaningful Format.

Posting some stuff on the internets dosent take ANY guts...none at all... only if you are in snowden territory...than it might take some balls..

it might after some time...henche...as you understand...alpha and all that jazz... *plus...seems hacking is more present on US servers....i wonder why that is :P
