You can limit the available resources to ONE bullet per server. If I find it, I'm going to put it between the eyes of the first fresh spawn I see. Just to spite the "Fix KoS!" folks. You want to "fix" KoS? Log out. There ain't no fixin' that which ain't broke.

I use shift + tab and use the steam browser. Less troublesome.

There is nothing stopping 24/7 day servers. Your post implies that the patch is FORCING a schedule on servers. It is not. Servers can be set to run at whatever time or light level the admin prefers. If you're encountering a lack of day time servers, that's because those admins are choosing to set their servers to night. Try reading those so posts you claim prove there is an issue- read far enough, and you'll get the same answer. Derp. Don't like the servers available to you? Rent your own. You'll find there is nothing stopping you from setting it to noon for 24/7 daylight. -

My server is full...all the time. If it only reset once every twelve hours, nobody would play on it- as the loot is picked clean within two hours. Resetting it every few hours is the only way to keep it player friendly. Once respawning loot and zombies are added, and the game has stabilized to the point it doesn't crash after multiple hours running, sure. -

How many times is this SAME post going to be made? There are just as many daylight servers as there was before. Seriously, I don't know what form of high functioning retardation allows people to access and use forums, whilst simultaneously disabling their ability to use the SEARCH. Furthermore, a cursory glance at the in-game server browser would tell you as much. More than enough servers with 24/7 day to alleviate the concerns of even the most flabbergasted mouth-breather. E-n-o-u-g-h. -

You don't have a crosshair. You have a reference point, used primarily for the picking up items and orientating yourself- not so you can go ham in third person. I suspect it's working as intended.

Question: What's the difference between Normal and Hardcore servers?

My server is now listed as hardcore. So far as I can tell, the only setting that makes it so is the 1st person option. I did seem to go from fresh spawn to starving in about fifteen minutes. Which seems...retarded. But I don't know if that's a product of the new HC listing, or just coincidental. -

They do. You people are running for the hills and screaming about the sky falling for nothing. The servers have been reset, all that needs to be done if for the admins to reset the start times. Boom. Servers are daylight again. How do I know? Mine is RUNNING, daylight. Sig. Calm. Down.

If they can't handle using the filter function, the game isn't for them. Day servers are running fine.

I see the option for server start time in my config. I always set it to noon.

Stop overreacting. There are daylight servers, most of the admins haven't gotten around to fixing their settings. No big deal.

It defeats the purpose of the game, which is in essence- a time sink. The "game" is basically finding what you need to survive, thrive, etc. By server hopping and fast tracking that process, you're effectively skipping all the 'content.' ...As I understand it.

Hunting shmunting! I use this simple, but efficient check list to determine who I shoot. 1.) Is the person in front of me a part of my group? 2.) Is the person in front of me radiating enough swag to become part of my group? If the answer is no to either, I shoot. It's sort of like flat rate shipping. Follow my simple list, and you too shall live forever. -

As someone who likes to use bodies as bait, I find this terribly disagreeable. However... "Alpha," and I'm hoping it's just a place keeper, as mentioned. In the meantime, I'll just lay a pack in the middle of the road, and use that as bait. ( I hope when spray paint is implemented I can put a huge X under it. Acme style. ) -
Things I need as an admin to properly run my server include: Rcon, or it's equivalent. To give me the ability to kick and ban players remotely, without having to be in the server. ( Or to reserve slots for my community and self. ) The ability to properly set the schedule for resets, day/night, etc. (weather?) The ability to check server logs to determine if an when someone was exploiting, hacking, etc. Beyond that, I'm good. I don't think we need tools to enforce rules, as the game is designed to have none. Other than the most basic stuff. Language, behavior, etc.
