How the hell did you become a seagull? I haven't been able to play for a few months because my computer sucks. Also, is the magnum really that crappy? From the video, it looked like you hit most of the time and they kept running.

If he's not having problems, good for him. The devs might have said that there are tons of people having problems, but "tons" does not mean "all" or "every." Calm down, be happy that at least someone can play the game.

Mosins are generally found in civilian/school buildings I believe (I find mines in those corner-coffee shops). Not sure if that's been changed, as I can't play again until I get a new decent computer.

Because it's totally okay to risk your whole group or more dying to have small talk with two equally armed players. Everybody loots, it doesn't make them any more friendly or risky than an unarmed player. They have everything to lose, just as OP and his group did. He did the right thing by not taking any chances. By even just calling out to them to check if they were friendly would give them the upper hand if they lied and acted friendly to get his entire group in the open and not expecting any fights. I agree with Awruk, there would be some wiggles, and then there will be bloodshed. Just as it was in the mod, it is in the Standalone. There are different play styles to this game, two of which are the common: KoS, or as I call it, playing it safe, and being 'heroic,' which is helping others or being friendly to others. Don't hate how someone else plays the game. KoSing allowed me to survive for almost 2 weeks before no-clipping out of a building to my death. - Nice vid OP. Hope you got more mags out of those guys

So because it's not fun for your friend, it's not fun for any new player? One of my friends bought the SA and had no previous experience with the mod or videos on DayZ and he loves it. I mean, it's kinda like saying you tried a food and hated it, therefore nobody would like that food. Opinions differ from person to person. Maybe your friend should spend time running around and getting to know the areas first.

Temperature not here yet as stated above. This is how you check blood: Black and white = bad, find a saline bag and iv starterkit and stuff Kinda bleached but you still see color = You should be good, just don't get shot up or step on any suspicious looking rocks (get a bloodbag with your bloodtype or regen by being healthy) Full color = You're good

I for one support you killing him. It's kill or be killed. That dude could have brought up his fist and go ham on your friends. He got really close, after all, and it's not like he had anything to lose (yet he had everything to gain). It's better to play paranoid and trigger happy than to be friendly all the time and risk getting stabbed in the back. It keeps you alive a lot longer, even if it makes you feel like a dick (though personally, I would have just avoided this encounter in the first place).

You should read the second paragraph and come back later. - I have to disagree with the respawn suggestion, and the previous comments pretty much got what I wanted to say. As for the server switching timer, I'd say less time, maybe 5 minutes or less. There are times when I join a server and it restarts almost immediately. It'd be a pain to have to wait 10 minutes because I was unfortunate to join a restarting server. Besides, with the amount of people that log off of servers every second, it'll cause a lot of strain on the main hive and servers (least it's what I can imagine).

This wall launched my friend the distance of Balota to Cherno vertically, so if it does happen, sorry. - How I usually get out of walls and stuff is by sprinting directly towards the wall I glitched through or the closest wall that leads outside for a couple minutes. If that fails, I try sprint jumping (because that works sometimes as well). I've also seen and have been told that you could just walk up to the wall, press "v" and you'll start doing the climb animation. Before the animation fails, exit the server (do so quickly) and rejoin, and you'd be popped out of the wall. Hopefully one of those methods work and doesn't involve you being cannon-launched.

I can get the game at 2fps if I play on standard default settings, but that's because my laptop that's many years old is at bare minimum (Radeon 4200, AMD Turion II P540 Dual-Core 2.4GHz, 16gb RAM (what a waste lol)). Minimum doesn't mean playable frame rate, minimum means "this thing opens and doesn't crash," so they already posted the 'honest' specs to run the game, since at bare minimum, it opens. After setting everything to the lowest possible settings, I can get 30~ fps, but at least it runs the game at a decent frame rate. If you want to play a game on good graphics settings when you have the minimum requirements with good fps, you're stupid crazy. I bought this alpha with the assumption that it'd run at probably less than 20fps (it didn't, good for me) at lowest settings and that there'd be a lot of frame hiccups (didn't happen either). If people think they can run at max settings with a laptop that barely meets the requirements, then it is their fault- especially now that there's so much ways to check your pc specs.

I don't understand why people are mad. All of these deaths were mercy kills. If they had let them live, 90% of them would probably try to knock them out, get their gun, and go ham on the rest of the division. If not, they'd find the nearest rock to climb on and we all know what happens when you do that in DayZ. Almost every single one of those people would have probably killed themselves to get the Elektro spawn, loot Elektro, then run straight to Balota and server hop some 30 times to get an M4. At least this way, even if those players do quit, we will be left with REAL players. Not players that will keep killing themselves until they get a desired spawn point because they want an M4 10 minutes in their life. Those real players would spawn and just accept the location, or just run for 30 minutes to get to a base. I for one, fully support the medical division, and hope they succeed in their goal. When cooking is implemented and it turns out you can burn food, I hope they test the effects of consuming burned food.

On this topic, we should also have sharpies. With a sharpie, I imagine you can do the following things: When you walk up to a player that's handcuffed with a sharpie in hand, you can hold their head still and an interface pops up that allows you to draw on their face. If the player struggles while you hold their head and draw, the interface shakes and can screw up your drawing. If you have a mirror, you can hold the mirror in one hand and the sharpie in another and you can draw on your own face. For both instances, if you are in shock, the interface will shake a bit (or maybe your lines just come out weird because your hand should be shaking) I feel this should be added just for bandits to have more things to do other than depantsing victims. --Edit-- Also stickers would be cool to find ingame as well. Perhaps in those stores you see in cities, there's a chance you can find stickers?
