[BARK] Server - come join the BARK fools
The Furry Rozzer replied to leviaxxan's topic in Server Advertisement
Hello BARK! Myself and my partner would like to know how to join BARK, we've played on your server during late hours under the name of Garrett Dekker and Nivex The Fox. We both try very hard to play as friendlies and for a while we've been wanting to know how to join your group. -
It would be cool to have the ArmA 2 Command System with a Dog. And perhaps it could help you spot people from a distance like in ArmA 2 where it would notify you with the text that comes up in the left hand screen. "10 o'clock, Unknown, Far" but with a single bark. Then you could order the dog to attack the person like you could order a squad to attack enemies. It'd be a very interesting Concept.

I remember they had Dogs in the Breaking Point Mod for the ArmA 2: DayZ, they said they were going to make dogs available as companions, and you saw a lot of them running around. You also had to watch out for Infected Hounds as they were more scarier than the actual zombies themselves. It made the game a lot more fun when it came to confronting Zombies. The problem though was that when the SA came out, Breaking Point scrapped all progress of what they were going to make on the Mod and Dogs are just now a part of the scenary. I agree it would be a cool idea, as I really hoped they would have continued with it in Breaking Point.

So during my experience on DayZ: SA I'm always finding tools like Screwdrivers and Pliers. So that got me wondering if vehicles will be added, will they need to be realistically repaired? Like, say you need a screwdriver to remove panels or glass or dashboard instruments and say you need pliers to repair stuff like fuel pipes (might be a hint from seeing Duct Tape everywhere). Since ammunition is hard to come by I do wonder if vehicles will be available but they'll be difficult to repair just like making fires when that comes out. Just saying it would be pretty cool if they do come out of vehicles and they need semi-realistic ways of repairing. The other thing I would like which was missing out of the ArmA 2 Mod was the fact you couldn't shoot out of windows at zombies or bandits. Just a thought that came by, please feel free to post what you think should happen with Vehicles.

Yesterday I entered Komorovo and found three dead survivors laying there. After a good fifteen minutes raiding the ransacked village I heard footsteps behind me. I reached for my trusty hatchet and pulled it out, but it was all too late. A man dressed in green clothing and a clown mask weilding a kitted out M4A1 had the muzzle of his gun aimed at me. In hope for some sanity, I said "Friendly?" and I waited a good five minutes before he replied with a very odd sounding voice "Err I'm not your friend, but please hold.." My heart was pounding, I had nothing but some rags and a can of soda. Then he said "Do you need any medical supplies? I'm a Medic." which I immediately declined. The next thing he said was "Well I'm trying to look for an Asian guy, have you seen him?" which I hadn't seen, so I replied with "No, sorry.." He then must have thought for a little while before saying "Well, if you see and Asian guy, please lead him to me. Take care now!" Either the guy had something against Asians, or he was out for revenge. I headed into the opposite direction he headed into, leaving the village and the three bodies behind.

Why everyone is soo unfriendly?
The Furry Rozzer replied to Pablo290492's topic in New Player Discussion
One time I was killed twice, one after the other. The first time I went north from Chernogorsk, found the dam and another player with a Fireaxe. He was trying to drink from the Pond so he must have been thirsty. I had nothing but Rags and a Can Opener on me. I said 'Friendly' and he waved, so I continued on my journey only to find out he's sprinted after me and killed me with his Fireaxe. I thought "Hah! I'm really thirsty too!" ;> The second time I literally just spawned and ran into a bunch of guys with camoflauge and guns, telling me to run away from a man wearing no pants and chasing them with a Fireaxe. At the time I thought this was really hilarious, until the thought dawned on me, why haven't these guys just turned around and shot the guy chasing them? I soon found out when I looked back and all three guys started aiming their guns, and all I heard was 'Crack! Crack!', bullets whizzing and landing everywhere. I zig-zagged and moved around like a motherfucker, it must have taken them at least two magazines before one lucky sod actually managed to get me. The thing with DayZ there's just no game like it. It really gets your heart pumping, and it's not even that kind of horror game. I've never felt such adrenaline on a game like I have when playing Paintball for the first time in real life. You start off bare, you find drinks, clothing and such, and you're not really wary of other players running around with nothing but a baseball bat or a shovel. It's when you find a lot of stuff, like a really decent gun, lots of ammo, lots of food, lots of medication, it changes your attitude and you kill everyone you see because you are very paranoid even though that guy doesn't have anything. I'm suprised people haven't had some serious mental issues from this game, because by fuck does it make you feel like you're inside of it. -
Sickness, Fire Creating, Blood Bags: How Do?
The Furry Rozzer replied to The Furry Rozzer's topic in New Player Discussion
Wonderful, so they act just like ArmA 2 Antibiotics only they just take longer. Another quick question if you don't mind me asking, what is the purpose of Charcoal Tablets and Vit Bottles? -
Sickness, Fire Creating, Blood Bags: How Do?
The Furry Rozzer replied to The Furry Rozzer's topic in New Player Discussion
Ahh, so that's why I can't makes fires. But what about when I find a Gas Stove and attatch them together, can I boil water with it? Also I can understand now with the Saline IV since Saline is pretty much a Salt Water solution which you don't need a Blood Group for. As for the Blood Bags, that's kind've cool how you can donate blood to someone else with the same blood type. They'll probably buff them up though, I mean the game is still in Alpha stage. I also found out that sitting still for like 10-20 minutes gets rid of your sickness since I sat in a forested area when I Alt-Tabbed the game to go look for a cure online, which took me a good 20 minutes watching videos and browsing the web but even then it seems no one has posted anything about it. So I decided to make an account on here and post on the forum. Once posted, I went back into the game and saw my sickness was gone. Thank you guys a million for helping me out, I owe you Baked Beans if we ever come across one another. ;) -
Sickness, Fire Creating, Blood Bags: How Do?
The Furry Rozzer posted a topic in New Player Discussion
Hello fellow survivors! I've bought this game having come from the ArmA 2 Mod, and first of all I would just like to say Wow. This is such a big improvment compared to the Mod and I absolutely have to congratulate the developers. As a former Hero on the Mod, I thought I knew everything. I was wrong, very wrong. I've died more times than I did on the Mod when I first started out back in ArmA. I've got sick from drinking water (because I have no idea how to boil it without knowing how to create fire), died from blood loss (the blood bag system is just.. new) and definitely been killed more times by zombies than actual bandits. So since this game is totally newb-unfriendly, I turn to the greater knowledge of survivors. May I please ask: How do I cure sickness if I don't have Antibiotics? In the Mod everyone knows Antibiotics are like, priority number two when it comes to medical supplies. Bandages, I figured out you could use Rags as much as you want as long as you have Alcohol to clean the wounds. How exactly do I build a fireplace? Again, the Mod was much easier. Wood + Matches = Fire. But in the Alpha Standalone I find Stones, Sticks, Matches and yet I can't seem to figure out how to make and start one. I also figure I need a empty tin can to boil water so I don't poison myself? I don't know, need some serious help here. Saline Bag IV, Blood Bag, Blood Test Kit, But how to make a blood transfer? Blood Bag + Buddy = Give Blood. I've found a Saline Bag IV, an empty Blood Bag and a Blood Test Kit. How exactly do I give/recieve a blood transfer when almost every blood bag is empty? I did read the description on the blood bag when inspecting it and saw little hint about donating. So I can actually use my own blood to fill the bag and donate it to another player as long as they have the same blood type as me? Or is there a way to fill the blood bag from a hospital or something? I have absolutely no idea. I would love it if anyone who knows How To Do to maybe pass on their knowledge to a ArmA 2: Dayz fellow. -Much regards, Standalone Newb.
