What happened inside the Superdome during Katrina is not on the same level as a Zombie Apocalypse. If they did that during the ZA, you'd have 20k zeds rather than 20k poor people acting like idiots. And before you blame rescuers or the city, you shouldnt have to save people when a MANDATORY evacuation is declared days in advance. Also, I play in my Ushanka sometimes. Other times I keep my machete next to me. I pretend it's an axe. Other times, after my girlfriend says she loves me, I tell her I love her too. Then I yell "LOL, FAG!" and shoot her and steal her combat boots. There are parasites that control certain actions, or seriously alter certain behaviors in animals. To think this could evolve or be manipulated to work on Humans is plausible, but most likely it would have to be genetically engineered, which we probably don't have advanced enough technology yet. But I can't say for sure. And humans are definitely not the only evil creatures on Earth. Lots of animals can act out of rage or revenge. Chimps can kill baby chimps of the female they tried to bang if she had it with another man chimp. Rejection can really screw people up.

Woah, woah, woah! The standalone has Daylight? I thought Daylight in DayZ SA was a myth. I just assumed all the pics were from the mod which I never played. I can actually see the beautiful landscape? I can swing an axe at a Zombie and I wont have to repeatedly swing until I dont hear said Zed's demented squaks? So the servers follow day/night cycles? I enjoy this game too much to care either way, and I do love how scary it is sneaking around then shining your torchlight on to a Zombie only a few meters away. It gets my blood flowing. But I would also like to see the world that my computer is working so hard to load. All annoying sarcasm aside, being so new I really did just assume that most people prefered playing at night. I mean, I try my best to stick to a one server, but I felt like everyone moved magically at night, able to see without the flashlight, making my exploring seem terribly naive, basically having a beacon on to come hunt me. This guide is just what I need.

It's crazy. I was helped the very first time I played DayZ, which was the same day I learned about the game, which was 10 days ago. I was helped by a guy with an M4. He gave me powdered milk, an apple, and a bottled water. The next life I teamed up with another Fresh Spawn in Electro. We ran together until I forgot how to use a ladder and thought flying would suffice. And every day since then, I have been abused, tied up, betrayed, force fed rotten kiwi's and disinfectant, and I've taken more bullets than all the rappers in the world combined. I've also learned that my story is not unique. In fact it isn't even uncommon. Most people if not everyone has dealt with this. It's a 250 sqkm map. Friends SHOULD be few and far between. The moral is, geared "pros" should keep their ass of the coast. I see you as a delivery boy who will put up a fight. Any Bambi worth their salt is a bambit.

It looks way better than the Airport Security Checkpoint Simulator I just downloaded. Everyone thinks my random security checks are discriminatory! Look pal, I know you have a flight to catch. BlastHard, you're an idiot because you are trying to argue something that is impossible to know. This game as a finished product is still in the distant future. And the guy that said that BlastHard was giving constructive criticism, maybe Google that phrase to learn what it actually means.

Get your panties unbunched. The Standalon is not the mod. They are taking actions to try to control KoS by making the game more in depth than the mod.

Well, to get more to my point, this game is in Alpha Stage. Arguing about an implemented game mechanic doesn't help at this point. This thread is here so people can argue, hear themselves talk (er, read themselves type?), or troll. Third person view does give an advantage. First Person view is not realistic, because it's tunnel vision with no peripheral vision. Making dedicated would split the fan base and so what if it did? Now go find glitches!

When you can build shelters, repair cars, people will calm down. And yet, regardless, other people will still kill. Removing it takes something away from the game that the game needs. Even limiting it does this. KoS is necessary, or else there'd be 40-man groups on a server just fighting the 3 Zombies that are rumored to be in this place. I still havent seen one, but I hear them everywhere! But back to the point, I am brand new, and I love playing games in Alpha Mode to make myself feel like I'm doing something productive while playing a great game. And for me, with any less KoS, the drama would be removed to too great a degree to enjoy. Without it I'm just hunting for a rotten apple that will kill me slowly.

Can there be an argument to not split the fan base? Have dedicated servers for FP only and FP-TP. The people are obviously split and there is no rectifying it. simply no chance at all. Too many people want third person, 2 many people think it's cheating. Time and effort would be better spent in the KoS thread....
