  1. Came across two sets of hackers within a 48 hour span. First was all of us getting killed in the apartments in different rooms by one person. We had two people doing sweep checks to make sure no one logs in the back rooms or anything of the sort. One of us was killed in the front while laying down with none of him visible, second guy was killed between the bathrooms, third guy was killed in the back room in the back bathroom. All this happened within 20 seconds. Second run into hackers we where in a green an red house over looking the apartments and police station when we started getting shot at, my buddy then saw one of the guys teleport from the top of the roof to behind the house we where in. Luckly we were able to kill him before he could kill us. There was a total of 3 on the roof shooting hacked M4's at us. We where able to recover the M4 from the body of the hacker, and there is everything wrong with it. Here is the video of us with the M4 from the hacker. I've already put in a report about this. I hope shit gets resolved quickly, cause it's getting out of hand.

    *I'm not sure if this thread should go here, and if it doesn't please move it the correct area.* It seems I have come across a fix for massive desync's (At least for me). I run a UTM gateway called UTM 9 by Sophos and came across something that has relived my desync altogether. Now during a normal and desync gameplay there are UDP packets sent from the server to the client in *MASS* causing a UDP Packet Flood, during this flood of incoming data, my gateway sees this as a potential threat and stops it at the door on UDP ports 2302-2305, (This method was tested during a 100k desync) while I was desynced I went into UTM9 checked Anti-DoS and Flooding real time logs and watched my firewall/gateway block everything on those ports. After everything was confirmed that UTM 9 was blocking these packets from the server, I proceeded to add an exception to skip UDP Anti-DoS/Flooding on ports 2302-2305 within Intrusion prevention. Once the exception rule was added my desync cleared up and I was able to play again. Now for people who do not have UTM 9 and have a standard router/firewall, you may need to look to see if you have any kind of anti-DoS/flooding control and create an exception for those ports explained above.     While true we can't fix it, but this work around does work. I have played for about 7 hours today and about 13 hours yesterday without a single desync.

    No you don't need to do anything with ICMP/TCP-SYN Numbers as the only packets DayZ uses are UDP. I have my thresh hold around 1500 and still got 100k desynced, so I am not sure if the UDP Threshold has any effect. Possibly not, since the UDP ports are 2302 thru 2305.

    This might resolve desync for solo players, but does not resolve players that have friends on steam and in the same server. Every desync I have come across comes from some kind of item or container in my friends backpack.   7. I will start off with this link. http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=4507 Now from what I have tested desync is caused by items in other players backpack or clothing. Every desync I have come across is related to one of my friends inventory, removal of that item resolves that desync till the next time. My AV is Trend Micro OfficeScan, along with Sophos UTM 9's AV scanner. Both of these logs have shown nothing related to DayZ, Steam, or Battle Eye.

    My PC: AMD FX9590 CPU @ 5.5GHz CORSAIR Vengeance Pro Series 32GB Windows 8 Enterprise 64 bit Geforce GTX Titan 6GB DayZ sits on a Kingston HyperX 240GB SSD I lag even at low settings in the city's. The difference between Very High and Low is maybe 2 - 5 FPS difference, I go from solid 60+ FPS while in the woods with my GPU usage at 56%, to 20-30 FPS with GPU usage at 23% in cities. I was able to push a little more FPS outa DayZ with this launch line in steam. -nosplash -noPause -world=ChernarusPlus -cpuCount=8 -exThreads=7 -maxMem=8192 -maxVRAM=6144 Remember to MATCH this to your system or this line will do one of two things, crash or lower FPS.
  9. Arma2 engine on a console, ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!! The best any of those "new" three year old hardware consoles will ever do with an Arma 2 engine is maybe 720 @ 30FPS on low settings. Here is an idea. If you have a PS4, sell it and upgrade your computer, if you don't have a PS4, don't even invest.

We have played without fail for long periods of time. Recently I have been desyncing randomly after a period of time with my buddies on. This seems to be a new desync and so far we can't find anything that is causing it. This also ends my night of playing.

    Also, we have tested that being solo on a server has no effects on us at all. The ONLY thing that we all have in common, is that we are on each others Steam Friends list.

    Another new desync issue. We have tried being completely naked and moving from one server to another, and we will still desync. I effect one of my buddies, one of my buddies effect me, and others can move without problem. We have over and over again tested about 50 servers, all are the same result, it doesn't matter if it's low pop, high pop, or no one on.

  17. I've been having these odd desync issues with one or more of my friends on steam. We have been rolling in a group of seven to eight with no problems for the last few days, but this problem has come around before. What happens is I log on a server, do what I need to do, no problems, have a few friends log on, no problems. Then certain friends start to log on and I can't do anything, but they can without a problem. Now this only happens when I am in there network bubble within the server, if I go outside of this bubble I have full use of everything, but once I get near my friend I can't do anything, but the other six or seven are functioning just fine. We have tested this over and over, and the person changes without any kind of pattern, only way we figure out who is causing the problem is standard elimination of having people log out while I am in the area. These desync problems are a real pain in the ass and I have tried everything from changing my IP, restarting steam, disabling my UTM9 gateway, doing complete bypass's straight to the modem, so far it comes down to it's not my network, but something on the DayZ server/Hive that is causing these huge desync's while in the same network bubbles.
  18. Another desync has shown up from a different buddy. He had three yellow boxes filled to the brim, I also had one yellow box filled with two saline IV kits and it caused him to desync. We dropped the boxes, log onto other servers and everything started working.
  19. Confirmed! My buddy had a ammo can with nothing but 60 stacks of 5.56. Removal of this fixed the problem.
  20. Past few days I can't play anything when my friend logs in. We just tried a few things, killing each other, removing all loot, going to other servers naked, and the same result is I am desynced to were I can't play but he can without any problems. We both have done everything from uninstalling and reinstalling to getting on VPN's. If only I could see those damn server logs.
  21. Alright I am getting quite angry right now, we have 10 people online right now, and JUST THAT ONE FRIEND OF MINE, desync's me to 100k. It's been tested over and over and over again without fail. If we are on the same server and at 2 opposite ends of the map, I can do everything without a problem, but when we get into the same network area as each other I get a full 100k desync and am unable to do anything.

  23. I wish it was coincidence, but even if they reset IP's and do all the fun bypass's, the end result is the same. The thing is, it's random on who causes the desync, last week it happen only two times with a different friend on, but today it's a constant with a different friend on causing the desync. So both of these guys I run with daily with a total crew of eight, neither effect each other and only one effects me.
