Ah yes to a point you can have seperate characters on a regular and a hardcore server( these characters will be able to go to other servers that are also designated regular or hardcore public . They have also added sub private hives or just private in the server browser this means you could have a third character but this one is locked to just that server cant take him anywhere as his data is saved on the private hive..

Currently that is all the difference i believe( rocket said it but everything is up to change at any point hence the i believe lol ) that in future other mechanics will be implemented or difficulty increased to further spread the two. But yeah as of now its just like what we had before servers with 3rd on or off except now they keep the characters seperate by saving them on a different hive..

Im pretty sure the guy who shot you op would have done so regardless of you race ,creed, religion, sexual orientation ,job, marital status views on politics ,hair cut, dress sense etc etc etc. Hey i like anyone who is a decent person regardless of where your from you get good and bad people from everywhere people are well just people lol....

Hmm i am one of those guys that wanted loot in these areas serverly lowered but none ( havent been to base yet on my way to NEAF ) heading NW from ship wreck.) Damn i hope they just change it to less not none as you dont want to have an area that big be not even worth looking at lol ( i just dont want to walk away with 5 or 6 clips easily and of different sizes when i hit them ...

First impressions epic loot a little less now great finding it a little more survival game epic lol had to start again epic( i like fresh start with new patch ) went on a hardcore server with me in had 40 players EPIC( glad to see some first person love lol . M4 rare now well thats just epic still allowed to server jump like instant gratification chumps such as the op hmmm thats not so epic hoping for a fix soonish take ya time put it in right because i doubt the hardcore servers will get to much in the way of server hoppers seeing its a different hive to 3rd view server. Would you hunker down at night?? maybe you would maybe you wouldnt what if you found zombies didnt see very well at night so it was easier to travel at night?? Generally your right people arent nocturnal but due to real life some are eg night shift workers lol . Half or close to it is set during the night ( i would actually prefer a shorter day night cycle lol but thats another topic) People may give the OP a hard time because he has found something he doesnt like and straight out he wants his money back pretty childish behaviour when you have signed on to play test an alpha game.

The vests in game currently dont have the plates in them so offer little to no small arms fire protection the balistic helm sure it will deflect a glancing shot hit it square on not so much ( depending again on range.) In my last 80 hours of play i have killed 8 people all of them either trying to kill me ( died alot more than 8 times lol) or were camping the spawn areas sniping (kamy and such ) so i felt no need to communicate anything more than a bullet ( hate spawn killers) i usually try communicate when i met someone or avoid depending on situation lol . I find far more joy in interactions with people than shooting them without a word lol But if i have to shoot someone i dont want it to be like a cod or BF where it takes an unreal amount of bullets hence why i have been for more than 8 years an arma players its a far better simulation of actual combat ..

strange cause thats more like the way id like to be finding ammo lol maybe i have just been lucky all the times i have hit bases cause the large ones if i walk away will less than a couple hundred rounds its rare. As i mentioned i can easily acrew ammo for a mossin or an fnx without going near a base ( strangely the only ammo i have trouble finding is the .357 Most ammo at a real military base is stored away locked up in a fashion that you wouldnt be able to get at it unless you had alot of time and gear to get it out ( well it is in australia i doubt your countrymen leave there ammo laying about in the military )

Possible true there mate (not against KOS or for it) but if you fire 1 or 2 at a person and miss fire a couple more kill the guy and find you ruined the little ammo he had on him your at a loss or if he wearing jeans and t shirt you may not want to waste any bullets at all. I dont want rare ammo for Pvp prevention lol but because i feel it would be rare or atleast a hell of alot more scarce than it is now lol . In 2 hours going nowhere near mil bases i can be packing 40 plus mossin rounds just seems a little easy but that might just be me

Im not a KOS killer so i am not defending it from that stand point lol but um a 7.62 from 600 m in a un armoured person ( depending on hit location) is um quite lethal in real life sure if your wearing a tac vest with the plates in it ( not yet implemented??) that will stop them but a rain coat lol your going to die or at best be severely screwed up !!

Wow now i understand your not killing people with shots from guns if your getting more than 150 your putting yourself at a disadvantage big time( i take you dont sniper cause you wont hit much apart from with luck i know its millie( how evr its spelt lol ) seconds but at full sprint that makes a huge difference. also still dont understand all the hate for punching you can knock people out 1 punch easily in real life stop getting into situations were people get close enough to hit you or wear a motor bike helmut as it works great for stoping that KO. Although i agree on the ultra stamina they need to slow people down after say 400m sprint lol (also you think circling seems to be unstopable strange i have had 2 frsh spwns intent on punching me out ( foolish as i went into fresh area wearing bike helmut incase of this and the dircling got them both shot with the fnx 45, i am having few of the difficulties you often mention but then i am playing 50 ping at worst )

NWAF if you search the mil base and the air field you can get a huge amount of clips my luckiest run alone at NWAF i found 4 double clips(60 round) 3 40 round mags 4 30 round mags 2 20 round mags and 1 10 round mag all for the m4 oh and 2 ammo boxs ( i kept the double clips and emptied all the others out to put ammo in ammo box. Its crazy how much ammo that place has if you look for it....

Its not always one shot one kill and um id rather the guns were based on realisim than balancing for game purposes i enjoy playing BF but i rage so hard everytime i fire a shot gun and its effective to about 10 m max lol i rage so hard when i pump bullet after bullet using a 50 cal and people run off. Real life aint fair mate and well dayz aint real life but it wasnt ment to be fair either kinda authentic then isnt it lol ...

did you find any berries to pick ?? when it goes stable i am heading bush straight away to try survive off berries and pond water lol..

Its not even a zombie movie its completely different. I cant say how people would react in a zed apoc havent been in one hope to never be in one. But i look at the history of mankind we are certainly capable of some evil shite. But strangely our need for each other is what built civilisation destroy civilisation does that mean in a matter of days we would kill any and every human moving when there is 99 x more of this new threat aka the zeds ( yeah they dont seem a big threat as they stand lol but thats the story we are the 1% immune to this infection. If people were really in such wide scale willing to kill ( yes i know people have riots and kill all the time we are capable of evil i agree) I doubt mankind would have risen to be the dominate animal on the planet (we are animals lol )Ya know back when the fight for survival against other animals nature and the quest for food water was real .. So i do not believe its a realistic portrayal of the apoc but thats just me and again play the game you wish play it in a way you feel you get the most from it but i think if once in a while you hit the speak butteon instead of the fire button you might enjoy it more lol but thats just IMHO.....

I agree with alot of the points you make just one thing though you and the other gentleman using the road as example as how it would be in real life how does a work of fiction in any way relate to real life?? It is fiction the author built his story to build tension to draw you into his world post apoc. Good movie never read the book but um stop using fiction as a valid real life point please. PS i dont KOS but have no problem with people who KOS they add tension for sure and the game needs a little without zeds or real difficulty surviving

what you mean scavenge for one as intended by game design rather than exploit by hopping( already regreting posting to late now but hey come on endorsing exploitation what has become of the community )

Love my dayz but i still like to play a military sandbox ( got 400 hours in arma 3) and probably 3x that in arma 2 ( although cant prove that cause my arma2 was retail not steam so no time records kept.

LOL sometimes spawn killer hunters shoot each other to i had a tense stand off with a gent outside of kammy we both assumed the other was a spawn killer... After some time of shouting shooting re positioning etc we heard another mossin shot, here we both were trying to be for lack of a better word heros and while trying to off each other another fresh spawn went down. I told the guy clearly i was going for the shooter so was breaking cover if he wanted to shoot me so be it. We ended up stalking together for an hour or so after trying to put a bullet in each other.. PS yes get of the coast as a fresh spawn you have quite a range before your thirst gets real serious.. Spread out make spawn killers work hard for them they may give up and head to mil bases where more people will be to get there thrills ( and thrills against those who are armed lol)

Just to make light off a difficult situation or step on any ones foot( puns intended) but damn there not working you hard enough if you have time to play negotiator here LOL Seriously though loving ya work and the fact ya care enough to put your hand up beans for you (not that you need them )

something i have done in real life with mixed results actually had 1 can where i managed to get maybe 50% of the contents on checking those contents though i did manage to catch a few pellets which aint good for eating ( have screwed a tooth before eating duck i have shot while holidaying in NZ... (off note though in my limited trials of this 7 out of 8 cans had as you would expect pretty much nothing ,couldnt really be called cans any more rather twisted junk metal scraps lol hey it can be boring on a farm unless you mkae some fun ....)
