Well at this point i will again tell you to take your arguement up with rocket it was his choice to call it hardcore lol ( not one i agree with ) but i do agree with him in the regards of it being harder than in 3rd view it is so much quicker for you to loot and spot in coming people because of your high vantage point of a view.. Thats not opinion that one is fact a fact reflected in real life when you want quick over view of an area what do you do you move to high ground to get that wider view in 3rd person you have a built in vantage point so um sorry but now ya just talking out ya butt and can see why your being attacked and called lesser for playing 3rd ( not because 3rd is lower) but because you scream alot of complete rubish in defense of your view. You like 3rd person view no shame in that you like to play it that way good for you but cut the complete and utter drivel you are starting to speak mate that is starting to make you look like a lesser person not becausee you play 3rd person view....

ok hmm i have to jump in on this point why does rocket enjoy 3rd person view when ever i watched him live stream playing ( not when he was showing the game before it came out he used 3rd view to chow characters) he is playing in 1st person a member of his own dev team tweeted about those not playing in first were missing out an experience. Again it was rocket who decided to call first person the hardcore mode ( a catchy title of no real meaning but if he wasnt a first person lover he might havee just called it hard vs regular but that point is speculation ). I feel there always will be a place for third person view some like it more think it feels more natural moving in it , it definately makes interesting videos when shown from 3rd perspective and i dont think it makes you any lower as a person playing third person you just prefer it that way but sorry one is definately easier than the other no shame in playing a more regular level than a harder one its what you prefer.....

im confused here i am one of the happy first person players who is happy to sit on our own servers with seperate hive its a decent solution for me. But have to ask if you dont think first person is harder than 3rd dont you think you should be telling your opinion to rocket he classed first person as hardcore and 3rd person as regular he made the distinction and it is realistic moving around in first person takes longer, why becasue we have to scan the area more have to move more carefully as we cant see over things so if it takes longer to move around you actually use more food water for roughly the same distance travelled on that level alone makes first person a harder mode. Im not a elitist first person player but i just hate hearing bull from both sides and i hear alot a hell of ALOT

You can drink directly from those lakes ponds streams just as you can direct from the water pump hell i almost never need my water bottle the map has so many water spots on it. welcome to dayz get better learn what you are doing read the guides in these very forums etc and then you wont need to make threads that just scream well newb.

ah you mean the range of the little hand held transmitters is 1km(will transmit for a range of 1km ) it would recieve signals from say something like the signal tower at green mountain all over the map ........

Hmmm thinking realisticly when in terms of a zed apoc i might be thinking that your thinking is something far other than realistic lol.. You should and most likely always will fear the other player more than a zed but id say realistcly speaking in a zed apoc the zeds would be a huge HUGE worry will they ever will be in the game who knows. Can people stop expressing opinions as fact as being realistic lol cause well you just sound crazy..

I often roll in a group and well we dont kos hell we usually dont even rob players it is not hard to supply a 5 man group at all it just means we keep on the move . But sure there are groups who do id say just go with ya gut for the situation. PS people stop carrying so much food for bandits eat everything you come across till you get the full message then store what food you find and a little later again sit down eat everything you have saves storage space plus you get far better results with the food in ya belly like the healing/healthy status ......

Ran into a group ( should i say hid while the went past me) blasting whitney houstons i will always love you , Personally though what dicks but wasnt fussed but i watched and they surrounded and butchered a fresh spawn so i basicly came out of hiding double clip in the m4 and started showing them how much i loved them. Pretty much from that point on if i hear music over voip/direct i assume derpy bandit and set up to sneak attack.. I wouldnt mind a radio channel though lol might be nice when i am hiding out to turn on or to leave hidden in a bush to see who comes looking for it......

You signed up to make a thread about this?? i today lost a 3 day old character that was pretty well decked out i was mildly annoyed at best went oh well time to start again ( hey i would have prefered a noble gunfight death but in the end it still means starting over. Please can we not bother with what we know are early alpha bugs it sucks losing character yeah sure but it aint the end of the world and will be fixed in time they already know it happens ( and many servers are to blame not just the game)

Well you killed the guy good for you but honestly i see a guy with no pants on i shoot lol i find those who like to take there pants off just want to derp around in the game no harm in that if you want to but as your not really playing to survive that kinda makes you a threat. I put you in almost the same class as guys playing with no mic i will try to get a postion advantage on some one and announce i am there ( i play 1st person only ) if they cant wont talk then again ill shoot you cause if your not playing with a mic your not playing to team up with anyone lol. If you have a mic and are running around blasting music as you go ( often find these in a group ) i usually find these to be derpy bandits so i shoot. Thankfully i dont play much near the coast apart from respawn so i dont meet many of the no pants or music blasting in direct guys but i do run into quite a few either without mics or wont talk and usually armed ( taking in the north of map here) then i shoot. If you talk and dont look like your just derping around like someone in undies then ill talk trade etc ( or die trying or kill you when you shoot etc lol ....

better or more capable thats subjective but whats not is the fact that playing only in 1st person is harder hence why first person servers are listed as the harder difficulty. So i aint trying to say i am better because i play 1st only but i prefer more of a challenge....

i have a tendancy to go after the .357 but honestly the FNX is better in every way more bullets fires faster has cool attachments fires .45 rounds quick reload with clips ( yeah you can get a speed loader for .357 but it still aint as good) but still i keep finding myself using the magnum over the FNX even though i know which is better LOL Guess i am just crazy.....

nope definately want more zeds i know what you mean but it just doesnt seem like a zed apoc with a handfull of zeds in a major place that would have hundreds . Its early alpha but it feels like mods like Breaking point have a better feel to zeds they may spawn in but they spawn in at a good distance and when you hit a large town its not strange to have 30 zeds on ya if your not sneaking around agro one start running soon the whole towns worth are after your blood which i find scarier than having 2 or 3 easy to kill zeds sometimes shuffling sometimes jogging towards you. Only real fright i get from zeds now ( i play first person only ) is when one i havent heard comes through a wall at me lol ..

using a controller or foot pedals will allow precise leaning ( bind to analog stick or to pedal depression ) track ir also allows this. But generally a good post glad your finding some joy playing in 1st person it has its flaws but over all the experience is greater people just shy away from losing there 3rd view. Having the periscope changes how you play the game even if you think your not using it to look over things you will do it subconciously...

Wouldnt say it was a good misunderstanding ( more a stuff up ) but while trying to get bandages in my inventory i shot the guy i was going to bandage cause while in inventory screen still had m4 in my hand. Dropped 4 shots in him so was a bad attempt at being a hero !!!!

There is a green beret that belongs to the chenarus factions but if you look you will find some from the new zealand army has a red badge with a kiwi on it lol.

Hmm i always find the new zealand green beret does that mean the kiwis came across to the help the usa lol ( i was born in NZ live in australia). Or is it because Rocket is a kiwi and just puts in the stuff he wants he feels would be there. Having some sort of back story to the setting would be interesting and give better idea of where the game might be headed..

If your serious about trade you should probably put up if your on regular or hardcore ( I play hardcore) and what you might be interested in swaping for lol then i am sure by pm you can arrange a meet ( id like to do things more in game but honestly hard to find someone willing to trade in game and not kill ya lol.

lol lucky find mate i have been alive for 3 days now and i still have a busted pu scope i have hit neaf nwaf balota cherno electro the mil base near stary hell i have done laps of the map i always find what i dont want lol although i did get a compensator and bipod for mossin but never the LR darn it all. I play survivor styles not KOS i kill when threatened or under fire but i do KOS on a airfield or mil base just cause these are hot zones although had a great standoff with couple people in the nwaf prison 2 of us 2 of them they wouldnt come out they wouldnt negotiate so well we breached and killed them. Maybe one day i might see you on the road have a cautious chat engage in some trade i have a few interesting items including another pristine bipod couple extra can openers ammo box military berets etc ( like to keep a few things for when i find reasonable people who will trade lol )/

The rewards for hero are what fun you get out of it hey if your not having fun change to any style you wish but as been pointed out its kinda crazy to go KOS is so stuffed now so i am going to do it to survive( is doing more of something helping or adding to it??) You can play the game kos you can play hero like or do something in between but why waste our time to come and say this is bad so i am going to do it now . Frustration gets us all at some point just not much point whining about it on the forum lol..

There is no safe way to sneak around a city lol there are safer ways of doing it but going to electro cherno berez are always frought with danger. Finding weapons is hit and miss places that spawn them dont always spawn them but always check orange brick buildings they generally have a good spawn ( not always a weapon but better than most in its chance of having one ( shotgun mossin). Staying alive in interactions really comes down to controlling the situation as much as possible if you are alone and see someone who you wish to talk to my advice first would be stay low and stalk them first make sure they are alone, next make contact in a spot that gives you advantage ( higher ground hidden in bushes from a building window hidden behind a wall or just from behind them with gun drawn. Dont scream friendly your really screaming i am cannon fodder shoot me. Be in control let them know you dont want to shoot but will in a heart beat if they dont follow your instructions ( dont turn around shoulder your weapon etc etc) then shoot dont give people a second chance it is all they need to kill you. Id offer to show you round but i am in AUstralia so the ping would be bad for you or me.

My wife gives me tons of shit for the stuff i say online( specially when the shit has hit the fan parts of the game ) but far far worse is the crap i am given by the people i am chatting with and start talking to my wife forgeting to turn the mic off. Its strange to be laughed at how you talk to a woman specially when half the guys i am playing with dont have one lol ..

playing hardcore doesnt make you hardcore lol its merely a name for a higher difficulty level ( i some times do and sometimes dont use teamspeak ) oh wait is it a realisim thing your saying meta gaming lol. Your point ?? how many 3rd view players do the same thing ?? Thats the strange thing with a game it can be more or less realistic and hardcore is more realistic doesnt make it real.... Hey id prefer everyone used in game chat i wish everyone would stop turning your gama up i wish alot of things but turn of point 1st person is the harder view to play the game in hence why its called a harder difficulty in this case hardcore could have just been called hard or very hard.
