hmm no proof other than stalking people but id say your closer to correct i have watched listened to players from a decent range out. PS typing is non directional so they cant tell where you are voice is one of the few things in game i have found that gives good idea of direction and range....

being in or near russia i would have thought a ice hockey goalies mask would have gone in for a mask before a payday mask shows how little i know aye.....

yeah when your taken by surprise and need that speed turn mouse wins.. but then if they get the jump on you like that usually it means your dead either way .... i prefer mouse key board for twitch shooters i dont class this as a twitch shooter i may give myself a disadvantage but if i have i have adapted my play style to counter it .. Again in counter strike or BF ( i play both ) i would never dream of using a controller lol ....

Challenge accepted do you play on a hardcore server... ( you may beat me more if we do CQB but thats not usually the case first to spot react wins the little i lose on control ( and again with bad mouse acel in this game i dont loose anything) i gain by using a huge screen and a higher than 100% render resolution.. I spot the player and then use wits rather than super fast reactions to try TRY and beat them ... EDIT if we were playing counter strike i would never dream of using xbox controller there is NO DOUBT in that and its like of other twitch shooters KEYBOARD AND MOUSE IS KING... I use keyboard and mouse when i play BF4 for that very reason...

Ill admit it for dayz i use an xbox controller.... Is it as effective as mouse key board thats subjective with mouse acceleration as bad as it is currently i would say yes actually if that problem was fixed then NO its not but its in the fast twitch style situation that the mouse keyboard is king and seeing in Dayz the style suits more to smart play and patience over twitch shooting then it does alright. With proper use of xpadder i can get almost every control on to a controller ( use of hold press double tap combo of buttons) for me it suits my style as i play on a 65 inch led 3d tv ( ps the inventory looks epic in 3d lol ) so usually i am relaxed on my couch so it works for me ( makes running long distances easier on my hands to. The one play the controller beats key board and mouse and i defy any one to dispute this is in vehicle control try flying a heli key board and mouse can it be done yes of course now try it with a controller there worlds apart precise control i can do things with a controller in a vehicle like that , that will have you stumped with keyboard and mouse...

How does removing the choice of 1pp to a player on a regular server make it fair ??? it gimps the game any 3pp player knows there are things that need to be done in 1pp. Where is the fair part ??? its fair now in relation to 1pp players.... I am a 1pp/hardcore server player its fair to me i get what i want and what the 3pp players do or dont do with there view has exactly 0 impact on me playing in a 1pp only server.... Also glad to see that hardcore servers are on the rise rather than fading away i believe Rockets plan ( pure speculation) of giving the 1pp servers such a hyped name has drawn a few 3pp players over and once they see it some SOME decide to stay.. Having no trouble getting a high pop 1pp server..

You mean how it is in real life?? if a sniper is focused on whats down his scope he is taken his attention away from his immediate surroundings. Thats why they choose high out of the way semi safe spots and well bring a spotter with a closer range weapon on them for defence and to aid there sniping...

Needed nope at current loot levels very possible to survive without one.. But then arent most of us loot whores i just cant go past some interesting loot even if i dont need it so the game of inventory tetris is a big time sink for me.... Or is this just me LOL

LOL my reactions these days are to slow for twitch shooters ( hey i am getting old thats my excuse and i am sticking with it) Dayz and arma are the great equalizers smart play will usually beat the fast twitch shooter guy ( unless in surprise CQB )

Sometimes the back stabbing is well funny and worth the experience.. I recall a time in the mod hiding in the supermarket at night as a bambi i called out to a geared player if he could help as i had no means of seeing at night( yes i dont gamma exploit sorry ) He slowly crouched moved over to near the door and said sure try this, he tossed in a road flare lighting the place up and ofcourse dragging every zed in damantion on to me ..... I had to laugh getting caught in there by zeds getting beaten to death ( broken leg straight out so couldnt escape after first wack) i laughed as i looked at the dead screen and thought you evil prick kudos to you...

He is pretty much bang on for me i dont feel it much as i am use to how RV engine games attempt to portray realisim and um delays are actually as he points out part of that ( yes please on the more optimization rocket!!)

Not sure how that will help he has over the required amount of ram... 4 gig is all that is used by the game although yes i have 24 gig of ram but then i use a ramdisk to load dayz from for the speed of loading and avoiding the pop up effect as much as possible.. other than that i dont see what he would gain from more ram??????

Hmm ok i run a i7 4770 clocked stable to 4.5 ghz a gtx titan 6 gig card ( expensive as hell and over kill although with the memory leak i was in a better position than most ) I run pretty much max setting ( except pp i set to low as i dont like alot of the effects but its high enough to leave me the ill health blur lol ) very little in the way of input lag (some adjustments help) for frames i get between 40 and just under 80 depending on location ( even 40 is more than enough for it to feel smooth ) Desync will always be your enemy and your pc specs wont fix this ( your connection helps though ) I think you will get pretty close to what you want with that hardware..... Edit i think this is in the wrong section of the forum though ...

OK one last time with no sugar coating on it, the devs have no intent on making a safe zone it is a idea that has been tried in the mod has been tried in other survival games and guess what they failed to get decent results most people complain they take away from the game. So in light of there never being a safe zone you have 3 choices really. 1 create a player kept safe zone ( as the devs would intend us to do ) this will needed to be guarded to keep it safe as in real life..... 2 wait till game is completed and modding is allowed and then someone maybe yourself will mod in a safe zone ( its not a hard mod to make honestly they have done it in many variation mods of the mod dayz.. 3 If 1 or 2 are not good enough then there are other survivour game options for you to play such as nether and warz(infestation survivour stories) both have safe zones ( well they do currently who can tell forr fututre cause they both open to change in development and the safe zones are one of the most complained about parts ( pretty much equal to the KOS complaints) In conclusion please you want a 5 by 5km area safe zone so around 20% of the map set aside for you why ???? because your un able, not imaginative, resourcefull enough to create authentic natural interactions as the devs want in a authentic gritty survival game. Doesnt make much sense does it......

It depends on both the state of the flashlight and the battery try using only worn or better and um lick the battery before putting it in no charge = no light... Although damaged should still work for flashlight but not sure it does with battery though nothing i put a damaged battery in seems to work ......

Wow me and PhillyT are in complete agreement on this point.... Being nice hell even being heroic doesnt have to mean being careless and throwing your life away .. We all know KOS is crazy right now you see someone stalk them a bit ( its actually fun gets the heart pumping trying not to be seen or lose them ) from this you will find out if there alone and when you can get the advantage then make the greating ( a greating with gun out ready to shoot if they make 1 wrong step... People get nervous at this but quickly into the chat when they have figured out hey he doesnt want to rob me, hey he hasnt cuffed me and drained me of blood, hey if he wanted to he could have shot already if he wanted to they relax a little and trade or you helping them can happen.. This only works as well as you judgement on intent does though so it aint perfect but you will die less have more interaction and may lead to the people you speak to being less likely to shoot first on other people( may not either a true KOS player will always KOS) Im a little harsher than PhillyT on the no mic or talking part for me you have no mic then your not likely playing for interaction so guess what i shoot you!!!!!

I cant see a problem with you getting some death info in the black screen nothing that relates to where it came from etc but in a way it would help test i have had a few deaths were i have suspected bug but i dont know it may have been bullet...( eg if it said death from fall when i was on stairs i know hey i wasnt shot it bugged out and killed me lol ) But true i guess you wouldnt know what happened unless you knew ( eg saw shooter ate the rotten food etc) but for anyone writing an AAR ( you know the characters story yeah some people do that shit) it mightt be nice for them to conclude with the truth rather than having to make fictional reason for there death.

Is that hardcore or regular i have a prsitine acog will trade it for a worn or better bag of rice or damaged or better protector case.. Im in hardcore myself and advent have traded 1 time happily ( he started thread i was first to reply as always interested in trade i carry gear specially for it).

the KOS appeal ( UN) got me thinking the hero clothing threads no one mentions them as being well hero attire i thought it would have been suggested a stand out helm (and the berret) being blue non camo that is from a peace keeping group that it would become the standard??

hope it wasnt because of me i make sure to empty every sks box ammo i find . i am a mosin user but i fear the sks more accurate and deadly than the m4 better at medium range than the m4 currently . i flip to the fnx with red dot sight for towns and flip to the sawn off when in buildings. the sks has me in streets easily good gun but i like the mosin to scope a town to see if it clear...

Mosin with LRS ( finally found one again) i use it to scope an area see no one there a little sniper practice on the zeds move in ( i stay way of the coast) i wont kill anyone that doesnt take me by surprise ( i use fnx when in streets of town and a sawn off while in buildings) i try to be friendly (emphasis on TRY) i always avoid contact as much as possible with the m4 user to many itchy fingers... Although i find it amusing when the m4 user ( who doesnt know the T button changes fire to semi and is more accurate) starts burst firing at me from range, tip to the newer run and gunners not a wise move.....

hmmm late april 2012 the rise of the super fast super hard to kill zed (they nerfed them pretty quickly though the complaints were many and it wasnt kos... You saw a human with a gun as a bambi you ran towards him ( they couldnt punch so you were harmless) he would never waste a bullet on you when he needed every shot to clear a zone to quickly loot before the return.. people grouped playing a bandit was harder.. feb 2014 the rise of the super quick to shoot human , KOSer( been around alot longer than that ) sorry guys your going to need to up your killer game as it was harder being a bambi back then than now those suckers ran fast pretty much never gave up and once locked on would track you even out of sight ( the running through a building was your only hope and then it was fear you would find more of them on other side) id never want to see zeds that tough as it was artificial but i certainly hope they can get them to a decent level....

Um we all wish we had more customizations hair face etc.. please specify what you mean by feminine survival clothing the clothes fit female avatar there standard cloths one might find in eastern europe??? as for noises yeah the male moans of pain are place holders
