This oh so much this,, people try holding of clicking the right mouse button for a sec try stalking people ( its a fun skill) find out if they are a bandit because everytime i get these threads it just screams one thing YOU ARE A KOS BANDIT you killed a player on sight cause he wore what the best stuff he could find( agree the masks serve little purpose and as such are a little sus but) camo has a use in survival as does a flannel shirt what if it was the best thing you had found does it change the camo if the put the blue un beret on ( un a peace keeping force) I pick a bandit by having seen them do something bad having talked to them and if they seem shifty or they have shot at me.... Perfect system no but i am sure i have shot more bandits and less friendlies this way...

Not in any mod i bloody made for the game they wont i want to do more than maps hell even a mod i hate has features that fit Dayz epoch over all goes away from survival but it allowed many things that do fit like boarding up buildings securing them as a base hell most zed movies you see people secure some location as a safe place. Mod the zed Ai to attempt to break such fortifications ( this is assuming the devs dont do it themselves) bang you have added to the feel of dayz... adding npc traders collecting metal bars for trade that sort of thing is a what the its against the very idea of a survival game.. Mods only thrive when players choose them try choosing mods that stick to the survival roots of dayz and dayz will live on for a long time... Stick to making it a death match and thats what it will become..

LOL sorry for rant but just listening to people fight against something that spawned the game we play now and even worse some wanting certain mods not even being smart enough to realize they were mods done by other modders Namalsk, Lingor, Taviana, Panthera its almost sad that its funny...

the custom maps where mods and they werent done by rocket he couldnt bring them to SA without those modders permission (they would most likely give it though as many of them loved Dayz)

WOW there is some terribly miss informed people here isnt there mods caused hacks what the hackers made hacks and they did it so easily because of the RV engine of arma 2 not because of anything modders did ... Dont want mods sorry its in the confirmed features mod support if you actually watched some of the videos of rocket he has even gone so far as saying he wants to help them out with proper info on how to mod the game (hinted at tools for such) WHY BECAUSE ROCKET IS A MODDER FIRST HE MADE DAYZ A MOD HE MODS OTHER GAMES...... Do i want to see an epoch no NO NO i dont but as a modder i look forward to making more clothing more zombie looks adding new buildings adding more details that show a zed apoc happened I want a survival game not a death match.( modding is like free dlc choose the mods you like for free) its players turning the game into a death match your all doing it now.. Rocket comes up with an idea make items get destroyed if you shoot it was that for the cool factor(yeah it was in part lol) but it was to help stem the tide of KOS YOU GUYS ARE MAKING IT A DEATH MATCH NOT MODDERS.. I have been playing dayz (and doing private mods for a small community as i no longer do public modding due to well the types of people in this thread small minded people with no imagination....)may 2012 and will be playing it and oh yes modding it long after many in this thread have lost interest in the game and moved on to a new shinny toy.. Why will i play it for years to come because with modding the possibilities are endless.... I look forward to a few years from now when you guys have fucked off why because thenthose who are left will want to play dayz not dress up in clown masks shooting everything you see without any interaction ( the game is about interaction good and bad pvp and helping.. What you mean people having to fight starvation in a survival game instead of gearing up in 30 min then killing everything that moves MADNESS pure madness what survival game would want you to fight to survive....

Strangely the mod never had them when it became popular hell it started all this madness... i just love guys with no idea throwing blanket statements out there like facts.. plenty of real games out there that dont have heavy weapons and plenty that do.. So kinda silly point... Be like me saying only real men only use bolt action rifles absurd its just straight hurp derp talk..

hmm well lets see there going to crank down weapons put in improvised weapons lower food spawns add hunting etc zeds will increase.. Its not one thing really if you look its going to get alot harder where your at the point of saying shit yeah lets kill bambi why cause no ammo you will be constantly fighting to get enough food to survive i expect to see more armed hold ups for food seeing destroying what a guy has when everything gets much harder to find wont make sense.. Dont know if it will work but thats kinda where there heading....

It has been suggested before slightly different but along the same lines one thing though the way it was suggested before would work easier and eat less server resources and that was have the ability to tag them yourself write small note friendly met at electro etc... When you saw him you would have to re open this tag system on him no tag never met so it still could cost you your life but to have the server checking over and over for people you have met would ah well eat WAY to many resources..( id like a few more zeds added which wont happen with the load the system you want is added. The tagging system works the same but is manual and thus makes 1 check when you open it and like you say wipes when you die. id be happy with that not with it being server run as it would be in your suggestion otherwise yeah the general idea aint bad IMHO

At this point all i can say is it no wonder the dev team dont look to these forums to stay in touch with the fans of the game and keep to reddit and such .... Just look at the quality of the ideas and the mentality of the people in these forums.....

Masks do seem suss some people wear them for a laugh and i am all for them adding more but i aviod people in clown masks and kill them if i cant avoid them ( that includes gas masks). yes there is a stamina system coming with weight being a major part of it so the shield would have major negatives to the user but obvously would have great rewards to. I dont know if they will add them but i wouldnt mind i mean if some one was coming at me with an axe id use anything i could for a shield hell even the old style dust bin lids that are metal would make a semi decent shield ( well certainly better than wearing the axe in ya head... So i guess i am a plus 1 for shields once the stamina system based on weight comes in ...

id call that a combat log why because he did it to avoid combat was he in a fight no but he logged so he didnt have to face the person who found him. It was a pre emptive COMBAT LOG.. but thats just IMHO. why do people play if there going to log the moment any interaction might happen hell the guy could have been friendly or more likely he would have blown ya brains out ( tell us when you log back in did he kill you im no KOSer but i would have shot your sitting avatar seeing i knew you logged straight out hope for you he was nicer...

Id lower your settings a bit but id say the cpu is probably more the problem do you feel comfortable over clocking it do you have sufficient cooling to do it ?? if so i would read guides on clocking that cpu (not familiar with i5's ) but id say surely it can go to 4ghz.. Please correct me if i am wrong anyone who knows the i5 chipset ????

Ill ignore the insults and the lack of knoledge you have for my country and point out you did not read my post where i said i could see them going as far as taking a civilian car welding home made armour on it and perhaps mounting a lmg of some kind.. improvised explosives are already planned the files are already in the game for a home made explosive ( oh but you cant be bothered looking to see whaat is going to be in the game can you ) these things are not what gibonz is asking for he is pointing to modifying high grade weapons from attack helicopters and using that i dont know about you but after 8 years in the Australian army where i helped fight an american war (iraq under your brilliant yeah right president bush senior) i wouldnt attempt to even do that .......

yes perhaps any that decended from the well endowed hill tribes of germania seeing in roman times they had a prefence to fighting as they had been born ( touch cold for my tastes) by all historical counts they were quite fierce and used this um lack of clothing as a method of distraction often taunting there enemy with well there family jewels.....

yeah your right it is merely only my opinion but its one that is shared by many people the mods that did these kinds of weapons did not go well i am not even sure they are around still people flocked to them thinking it would be a good idea it turned out it wasnt... Hey i dont know what Rocket will or wont add but seeing he wanted to make a gritty survival game and basicly when he started the SA he pretty much said no modding after everything that was thrown in to the mods of his mod. ( he has reversed his idea on that now thankfully and has added mod support to it. But ask yourself this if doing that sort of thing to what was his mod sparked that sort of response from him , and now its his game do you really think he is going to add all the things he hated???? I dont but your free to think so good luck waiting for it mate. PS no i dont drink actually have been straight edge for 15 years now so i fear it is far more likely you might in your ultered state suffer a car crash ;)

Gibonz i know you played the mod did you not try out some of the versions with all the toys of arma 2 in ??? when does the survival game suddenly become an over the top version of wasteland... Im not sure what made the cheese suddenly slip of your cracker but wow im glad your not a dev.... i get all the uber and heavy weapons i need in arma games, at best in dayz i might expect to see a civilian vehicle with home made armour welded on it and lmg mounted kinda mad max styles but this how does the common civilian know how to use and modify all this not to mention some balance in a SURVIVAL game its not a war game....

They would have had tanks and attack choppers also would this make for an interesting game in dayz hmmm let me think about oh they tried that in a mod of the dayz mod it sucked and basicly gave organized bandit groups control of the map.. Go back to smoking the weed dude and let the level headed guys play a gritty game of survival you want these sort of toys Arma is your best bet...

i find rope all the time in that warehouse building with the stairs up and around the outside edge, ya know the one that opens both ends... i find burlaps often in the orange brick building with the rooms on either side of the central hallway.. Finally found a LRS other night of all places the self storage sheds it was worn .... They say the loot is random i say its bloody demonic it knows what you want and doesnt spawn it till one day it finally does then the next 4 or 5 places you check it keeps spawning them now that you already found it LOL.

Hmmm i just stopped eating fresh fruit i find..... Um as for the under shirt well it is pretty darn cold..... I know every time i go to new zealand to hunt i end up wearing thermal undies ya know the very sexy kind with the back flap for obvious reasons.....
