Honestly not seeing the down side to crafted bows?? i am not sure how easy they will be to craft so kinda hard to say what your saying your pretty much just making a huge HUGE guess.. To be honest by the tone ( i could be wrong hard to judge tone in writing lol) i am hearing a guy who wont be able to kill fresh spawns as easily because wow they may shoot back even if it is with a low effective use home made bow.. Oh wow you mean fresh spawns wont have to kill themselves in towns looking for food and basic gear when they might MIGHT be able to make a weapon that will allow them to hunt food and have a very limited level of protection at range from the ass hats sitting on the coast after plundering an airport then returning to murder as much as they can. Basicly i think it will be a good change but who knows till we see how its implemented so maybe saving ya crying till then... Edit i am guessing step 1 for fresh spawn might still be food or perhaps improvised spears which are also coming and one would imagine easier to make if less effective but still possible to hunt and kill food with or zeds or some bandit douche you catch with his pants down ... As for the m4 i still find it kinda sad at how bad it is now ( not that i havee ever liked using it ) the couple times i tried it i was like wow this aint even close to the real rifle..

no need to specify the two as there the same thing as far as the engine goes and guess you were a lucky man with arma 2 then because it had just as many unusual settings problems as SA again shadows the higher the better and everything else was pretty much rig specific been that way since OFP arma 1 2 and to a lesser degree 3 also ( although id say 3 is there best shake at optimizing the RV engine by a long way (although people have had trouble with that to just not as many , hoping for better out of SA only time will tell )

By law your both doing something wrong lol you know how much the software costs and you downloaded it for free where are you in the USA dont get caught you guys have the worst copyright laws( well the best from a software companies stand point). im not sure its a good thing showing people glitches like these report them on the tracker so the devs know doubt they will see ya vid mate.. Cause now if it dont get fixed i can see alot of people hiding there tent in this spot lol..

At one point he mentioned they wanted to do a a skyrim/oblivion(bethseda) style pick up of objects so you could move and place things as you wanted ( was a while ago so not sure if its still planned though )

Lol you havent played many RV engine games have you ?? its always been a dice roll on settings always best to test and choose settings for yourself because every rig seeems to handle them differently and yes quite often turning somethings up increases fps due to taking it from being cpu rendered to gpu rendered such as has been mentioned in this thread shadows...

Is it just me or some plasebo effect but hit detection seems better on experimental ( although it could be i have been practicing with different melee weapons....

Every time there is a patch it seems to wipe out your default setting and randomly gives you a character thats the one and only time i have played a female character.. As i play 1pp didnt notice at first till i opened my inventory lol. the moment i saw i was female i went straight to electro to have a laugh and die.( just doesnt seem right a man in his 40's playing a girl but hey thats just me..

People get way to upset ( hell if i die i usually go fuck i shouldnt have done that go for a smoke make a coffee and hit respawn lol). Its the trully balistic ones that make me laugh , i was at the mil base below vybor searching one of the barracks and heard the pop of an m4 screen flash and go grey as i went prone. Rolling to the side out of the view of the window i assumed it came through quick bandage draw the b95 return to crouch and scan . Straight away there he is 5 m from the window blasting full auto at me but cant hit due to the ledge and his angle if he had moved closer id be dead most likely but no keep blasting away with me calling out ya that good aye mate. Suddenly the click click reload sound i stand and deliver 2 shots to the chest down he goes still standing infron of the window even while reloading... I go out to check his body and what do i get him screaming in direct you KOS piece of shit!! i muted direct not knowing which person he was, took what little had not been destroyed and moved off thinking what drugs was he on...

Nope dont miss it at all infact i hope they go further and push harder on the survival aspects of the game.... I dont ever want to lose PvP but i do want it to be just part of the game not the whole game.... Been playing alot of project zomboid of late ( damn that game is epic if they made the graphics to say the sims3 level id be in bloody heaven lol) and to be honest i hope they take some more ideas from that ( they already seem to be doing it with how there cooking works etc) a game that basicly tells you your going to die its just a matter of how and when, your not some super elite solider your average joe trying to survive in a zed apoc vs Dayz mod your super soliders fighting other gangs of soliders with the annoyance of zeds running around in the back ground...

Perfect example of what i mean lol.. if there was nothing wrong with it why during development did the devs think about fixing altering it??? Again i care little for what actually happens for 3pp i suggested it originally as a good alternative to those screaming remove 3pp which would be silly to do.. No one is forcing anything i just pointed out ya scream and cry like little girls having there lolly taken away when anyone makes a suggestion kinda like you just did LOL..

LOl i suggested this 2 months ago in the fix not remove 3pp thread.. Lets just say it went down like a lead ballon with the oh the popping in ruins my immersion no i dont like it wahh wah. Basicly a large chunk of the 3pp players are use to using 3pp to its fullest and do not want to let it go . But hey 2 months on maybe there more responsive now but i doubt it...

Yeah thats what i am talking about the devs original intent was to have helli;s but have them so hard to find the parts for and fix and then on top of that have the ToH start procedures and flight model... I hope they do put them in this way so these um uber elite guys who saying its part of there story can have some ahh fun lol i am going to be laughing my ass off shooting them when they cant get the thing to take off or laughing my ass off more when they crash the sucker straight after getting off the ground.. I have 50 hours in ToH and id class myself as a newb at the controls, flying a helicopter in arma is as hard as riding a bike where as flying a helli in ToH is well as hard as well flying a helli.. PS for these so called vets who have played things like epoch sorry i dont class that as Dayz it goes so far from the idea of what Dayz is ment to be it aint funny ( sure it added some cool things but over all it was wasteland with zeds not dayz) Come on devs give them there helli please but do it as you intended i really need the laugh...then it will show you who the casuals are!!

As for slow development they warned it would be in alpha for a year or more so yes when your expectations are finish it now i want vehicles now i want i want then your going to get told to pack ya bags...

Some of the view obscuring was planned by the devs although havent heard anything about it for a while dont know if still intended. As for the game modes you speak of they will come in the way of private hives and modded versions of the game...

Even outside of a building at about 300 m with such low detail players actually become hard to see ( some even get it so bad they only see the dots of a player) So yeah setting scene complexity great for fps but ill have fun watching you from 600 m and i am nothing but a smudge on your screen not recognizable...

Yeah id try taking your cards out of sli and test each one seperately ( i am not sure sli has got a profile for dayz yet?? but it is honestly not that hard a game to run gpu wise.. Cause yeah i agree it looks like 1 of the cards is giving up the ghost on you...

They wont ever get rid of 3pp hell at best there were some whispers of fixing it a little but nothing official in 2 to 3 months so i doubt its going away specially as it is the most popular way to play BY FAR.. I honestly dont mind 3pp why because it doesnt affect me .. I have said before there are plenty of good reasons to use it if thats what you like .. Oh 3pp has been a feature in arma all the way back to OFP it was in at the lowest skill levels to allow players a chance to get there footing in the game made it easier to not get shot by super accurate AI and also to control/order men seeing the field better...Once you hit veteran level or higher difficulty it was by default locked to 1pp.. Again that doesnt mean you cant be a skilled player and be playing 3pp because view selection is a personal choice there just as many bad 1pp players as 3pp.. Nothing elite about playing 1pp its just a different view of the game one thats recognized by the developers as being slightly harder, no big deal .. Seeing over walls is not a hack or exploit it is infact intended use of the feature again it was in to make it easier on guys learning to play a mil simulator, so there not hacking exploiting cheating they are using what they are ment to... Dayz is no longer a mil simulator and 3pp has been worked into a legit play style not one i like but hey i dont have to play it but if i do i dont complain about people camping i realize they will and adjust play style accordingly ( not always with great effect but hey such is life)

Once there are private hives then you can make a pve server if you wish as it wont connect to the central hive but that wont be for some time most likely when the game is complete.. PS you dont actually buy a game you buy a license to use the software and as such are restricted by the owner in this case BIS to conform to all there regulations ( does no body read the agreements anymore...
