Ahh this is ment to be an anti game, there is not ment to be anything fair. Its ment to be gut wrenching hard, have you searching for days for that gun, attachment ,tool or piece of clothing that you want and can have it all taken away in 1 click of the left mouse button or a jump of the zed you didnt see. The fun is in the struggle the sense of achievement when you find or take what it was you wanted( currently its not all that hard finding or keeping good stuff so at the moment you have it as close to what you want as your probably ever going to get. Welcome to dayz leave ya fun at the door and grip ya mouse in grim determination as you navigate 225km of potential death and dispair. I hope you enjoy the beach because unless you harden to the task i have a feeling you might spend a while there....

I cant imagine you gaining anything then the 770 your runing may only be a 2 gig card but its a damn good gpu it should be holding pretty good frame latency with the 4 frames ahead ( you can always try it at 1 frame ahead and see if it feels smoother, as even 2 of the same card dont perform the same always.You wont loose anything and if it is struggling with some of the larger textures preloading frames then it will feel smoother. ( think of it like this your getting say 40 frames but if it pumps 30 of them in the first half a second then it gives out the last 10 in the other half you will get a jerky experience I put a evga gtx 770 sc in my wifes pc and for an upper mid range card i find it to be a beast ,pretty good bang for buck runs well and stays cool with there twin fan set up.(yes she plays dayz aswell)

No generally you wont get a a frames per second boost( if you do it will be a very small one) but it can help it seem much smoother even at the same frame rates specially if you have a lower vram card ( eg if you have a 1 gig or 2 gig card it should help smooth the game via frame latency ( even spread of the amount of frames you get over the second were as if you card is struggling with max frames ahead it can stagger the frames over the second making the game feel much more jerky. Sorry i cant explain it any better than that hopefully someone who can better explain things will add and or correct my statement.

I dont get this pc build epic cpu ( the 4820k is pretty damn good and it clocks reasonable well) coupled with a low amount of slow ram and add on top a lower mid range gpu... If you have windows 8 it does use slightly less ram than windows 7 but not a huge amount less. 8 gig of ram is recomended for good gaming and i would go much faster ram 1600mhz atleast prefrerably 2133 or 2400mhz and something matched to run with intel.( but only a few recent games take advantage of fast ram so 1600 is ok damn am i becoming a parts snob....) If you have decent cooling on your cpu i would suggest OCing it a little, a nice 4.5 ghz it will handle without having to up voltage ( the one flaw of the 4820k it power hungry out the box, its what a 130 tdp vs the 4770k's 80 tdp, but can actually be down clocked to run standard speed at a lower voltage

Not a very common situation to be honest in dayz but then as you seem to want to play clan wars then sure it can roll that way ( not sure why you pick dayz over arma to fight out clan battles but hey fair enough) the looting point you made is in the middle of being made redundant with whats going on in experiemental right now persistance and loot spawning it doesnt really make much sense to hop servers for loot and again you can hope into a really bad spot as easily as a good one in regards to a gun fight if your loot hoping. As for your clan battle fight theory again if they log out it will be 4 minutes before they can log in time enough in most situations to move place and if skilled defeat the guys who stayed behind to over watch but granted thats not an ideal situation. The biggest solution for your compaint and its not some CRAP log in sound its wait till the game is actually a game and not an early release alpha and thus there will be things called private hive servers WHERE THERE IS NO GHOSTING BECAUSE YOUR CHARACTER IS ONLY ON THAT SERVER. Till then id take ya clan battle elsewhere or get use to the idea of dealing with a public hive game simple as that. pissing and moaning wanting a gamey mechanic put in doesnt really help for the type of game dayz is actually ment to be but meh what do i know aye...

I have been playing with the new movement on the experimental servers ( i imagine its the same as whats just hit stable) i find it both very good and quite authentic to be honest to many people complain you cant go straight from crouch to sprint its kinda oh no you actually have to push to stand up and run kinda thing. Play it realize it and you will soon forget it was ever different to that. Cant comment on any of the other updates as i am not sure what from experimental has gone to stable, as i like to play experimental both to get the latest toys and so i can report bugs/issues on the tracker....

That side of persistance and dynamic loot spawning is working a restart doesnt change any of the loot that was there if it was a rotten kiwi and a tshirt before restart after restart its still the same rotten kiwi and a tshirt. I have found its made looting a little tougher until you find the mega loot towers..

Anyone know where mags for it are spawning ( i am guessing mil bases as always lol) picked one up tested that you can paint it ( only tested 1 colour havent found any green to see if it will do camo like mosin or just single colour like sks). But yet to be able to fire the gun as it wont chamber a round and cant yet find mag for it..

How it currently works A little broken it seems to though do a check for an area and spawn loot in as removed when no one is there but it seems some spots draw all the loot respawning and the other areas get none or very little. A start hoping next patch smooths it out some though LOL..

Thats the feeling i got when checking out the spots lol. Oh add those little buildings on stilts with the ramp up to them ( not the deer stands but what ever the other one is) in the forrests i find them a good starting place for backpacks food and drink when starting off..

Yes but not all of us are dumb enough to think that would make a better game, thats right its still a game one thats aiming to be authentic not completely realistic. They could go deeper with the idea of crafting the bow but as usual alot of what your saying would be good to be implemented but the timing of such things would have to stay within game constraints. Just looking at eating do we eat as much food as we have to in game ?? no we dont but it is a game mechanic to make it authentic eg as in we do have to eat and drink. SO basicly some good ideas but tone down your expectations cause as usual you lean to the absurd more often than not..

yeah cpu should solidly run the game yeah the 1 gig vram on the gpu is a little low but if your going to get another gpu( graphics card) id do research on its wattage use as you psu is 400 should be enough of the top of my head but always better to check. But again before you bother to upgrade ( as i think you should get an ok use from what is already onboard the pc id check some tweeking guides for setting and the cfg file doing tthings in the cfg like lowering scene complexity viewing range and couple other things can make a huge difference to the game check them out and give it a go before dropping anymore money on it. Hmmm am i understanding you correctly your accusing people of logging in and getting an advantage over you in a gun fight because you cant hear them log in anymore?? If thats the point hmm well 1 they dont know there is a gun fight going on so if they do spawn in and get an advantage they certainly didnt know they were getting it its just as likely they could spawn into a disadvantage i know i have had people spawn in right infront of me and if i was the shooting kind they would be dead. 2 You know there body appears in game before they have fully loaded so spawning into a gun fight would be a dangerous thing unless its into a well covered spot . 3 If your refering to people logging out to get out of trouble and then spawning back in you know with log out timer and the spawn back in timer it gives you plenty of time to leave the fight or position yourself better for the fight.. Please correct me if i have understood you problem incorrectly, or if i have feel free to put forward your points so we can agree or disagree with the problem as you see it , we are here to discuss its general discussion after all not make a broad statement section...

What cpu does the pc have?? Yes that card will run it ,my advice would be use the search function on these forums and find a guide to tweeking the setting and cfg file to get the smoothest dayz experience you can . Dont forget we are still in alpha they will be doing more optimization of the game through beta but i wouldnt expect to much out of that maybe a few frames a second..

Hmm its not the complete set from experiemental they tweeted that it wouldnt have the persistant items in it yet, if it doesnt have persistance then it wont have tents unless they want you to lose your tent as you set it up server goes down and its gone lol.

You guys really need to learn what an alpha is and how development works in an alpha. Pack it full of features till it breaks then fix it so it runs and keep putting the features in till you have everything you want then hello beta bug fixing time and maybe a few smaller not yet added features. Only the trully testing destroying bugs get squashed in alpha. Thats right its not a game is a testing phase its fucking alpha you signed up to it you agree to it. If the feature with bug doesnt completely destroy functionality you keep it in and why so when you are testing your fix for the bug you see if that breaks anything else. But damn we have reached the age of self entitled prats who dont read warnings dont know what an alpha is and as such think they have rights in regards to the development well guess what you have 1 right the right to test an early release alpha..

Your cpu is alot more powerfull than his specially in single core performance dont forget RV engine games are very hard on the cpu requiring it for many of the calculations and even yes alot of the graphics rendering is done on the cpu not gpu (like the grass and if you set your shadows below high it stops using the gpu to render them and uses cpu . But yes his GPU is under powered aswell. But the cpu he has does not meet recomended requirements and does scrap over the minimum though so i wouldnt say its fine not fine at all... mid lvl desktop yours mid lvl laptop his big diference.... you need to upload them to photobucket or any other hosting sight copy the url and paste it in the little box that comes up when you click in a thread to put a picture..

just for an idea of performance what cpu you running an what are your frames like in the wild in small towns and then in cities ( seen guys with lower end gear getting better results than high end stuff nothing in d.walkers 43, level though as seriously that doesnt even reach min specs to play the game. The 650ti is pretty good bang for buck i prefer the 750tibut it is 50% more expensive and only about 20% better( the good old law of diminishing returns)

seriously your getting 40 to 50 frames on something that doesnt reach minimium requirements to play the game... Stranger things have happened in life but do you mind posting your dxdiag and a scrreenshot of dayz with the fps being displayed in the corner because it sounds like a miracle

will it get better sure they will do some optimizing later in the development cycle will it get alot better probably not as i am figuring any performance they gain they will use to put more zrds in etc. Any RV engine game is going to be tough to play on a laptop/notebook your cpu will barely handle it and your not packing alot in the gpu stakes either. Can you play this game well on a laptop sure with big dollars in it its really the sort of title ment to be played on a mid range or better desktop. Your decision can you handle low frames and low settings cause with a 2.4 ghz cpu i cant imagine you doing much better sorry..

Well in experimental before this you didnt need a tent really as everything was persistant you could drop items in a non looting building that no ones goes in and come back the next day after serverl restarts and holy hell its alll still there. Tents will only be on the server you place them and yes someone else can find and loot your shit..
