Shit i hope you dont feel bad i have enjoyed many of your posts and agreed with many of your ideas i just personally think this idea while coming from an idea to help will actually detract from the game. I cant count how many bad ideas i have had over the years(they cant all be slices of fried gold) but again i could be wrong (happens all the time) but it just doesnt feel right and many people who i have read there posts and thought there head is screwed on right dont seem to like it either..

Hmmm strange your really trying to get this stat thing over on people.. Look at your signature and then tell me in what way is a stat system gritty or authentic?? sounds artificial to me and i dont see it building any trust i mean even those who do KoS usually only have fairly low player kills (unless there hanging outside berez sniping and then i dont need stats to know there bad.) So what you will get is a freshly spawned or fairly new character of a bandit player going yeah i am friendly there my stats bang your dead, ha ha ha sucker then people going fuck that shit i am just going to kill anyone i see because i cant trust them. So in the end we will be pretty much back to where we are now BUT now those who like to deathmatch KoS will have stats to take screen shots to boost there epeen making deathmatching more popular and quite likely making the game more of a straight PvP game because now it has kill stats and the fact we didnt have kill stats was one of the thin lines between this being a pure PvP game on a big map with looting. But hey they just how i see it going when you add a stat with player kills in it i could be wrong but just look at the amount of people who already say its a pure deathmatch game....

Strange you quoted me and clearly stated nope no trading ( not there was little trading or anything else you spoke in an absolute, no one can really speak in absolutes unless it has happened not on what could or couldnt happen. why state an opinion as an absolute ( as i say i have traded in vanillia dayz mod ,breaking point, epoch, 2017 and i never said there was alot of trading but some do trade so your nope no trade stated as a fact is wrong... People are happy because its an iconic caliber of round, is it the ubber round no but it allows a rather large number of guns that use that caliber.. Did you miss the part where i said it could lead to not that it would lead to ( oh and your telling me no one trades in dayzero strange i have traded in that mod before( it wasnt ammo i was trading) so just remember your experiences are not the sum total of ALL PLAYERS. Hell i have traded in many varaitions of dayz all the way back to may 2012.. Whats the support version ?DO you mean the early release alpha version we all have? have you tried verifying the game cache, does your pc meet min specs to play , are all your drivers updated.Have you checked the support forum for anyone having the same problem , have you tried closing steam and re opening it then trying again. In other words what have you tried kinda helps to know what you have done to be able to do anything to help....

Hmmm Rocket is from NZ not sure which part but maybe the weather is modeled after the south island cause well it rains a shit load down there ( there is nothing like forgeting you left your best pair of jeans on a cloths line in spring and it rains and you try taking them off the line and they snap because they have frozen...)

Even if your not interested in having the correct caliber it still effects game play in that if there are more types of ammo it thins out the direct ammo type for your weapon making it harder to find/accrue large amounts of it. This could lead to more trading amoung players (or more banditry to try and get ammo for weapons) ,so i would say it actually has a significant impact on gameplay via the loot tables. Plus i prefer to load my gun with its real ammo lol...

Well i dont know the best place to buy pc parts in ireland but the first place i looked was called CPI (computer parts ireland )and cost for that build with a different mobo and case(same quality they just didnt have the same parts and this is not including operating system like the link of pc you gave it came to 592 pounds so saving you 90 odd pounds..

Fair enough id still watch a couple youtube videos it may change your mind and really for damaging it pretty hard to do except putting the cpu in (zero force make sure you have it in the right way which they have triangles marking them and notches to in the case of intel) other than that its look at the plugs see which way up it plugs in push it in ,look at the slot in the ram match it to dim slots plug it in.( i know it may seem scary at first but they have made it damn near impossible to mess anything up (apart from the cpu just dont touch the under side of cpu or the connectors on the motherboard and your golden. But hey i respect your choice to buy pre made but you will be surprised how much you actually save doing it yourself(its not just the build fee they charge more for the parts in the pc too so they can make there money in many cases/not all though. I only worry because your going to have it shipped and well pc's generally dont like to be handled roughly lol if it gets bumped to hard in transport things have been known to come loose(usually the graphics card which often results in the thing not booting at all easily fixed but if your unfamilar can be hard to diagnose. I have to ask why not build it yourself ?? you will save money get exactly what you want in the rig. Honestly its not hard at all to do (its not like back in my day with slave drives etc) its pretty simple with sata plugs in 1 way , only slightly tricky part is the front panel connectors and for that refer to the large diagram on the motherboard manual. A little research to figure what parts work best with what (or ask your tech friend bonesnap i am sure he can tell you mobos dims of memory with the proper xmp profiles etc so everything will be optimised) In the end you will love that rig because you built it ( i still have the first pc i put together 18 years ago and yes it runs but by todays standards its a large calculator lol )Just being able to choose your own case makes a big difference cause your going to have to look at it( maybe you like flashing led's maybe you dont if you build it yourself you can choose. Honestly go to youtube and search build pc you will be greated by dozens of indepth videos watch one( from recent times) and you will go huh that doesnt look so hard becausee these days it isnt ( well unless you want to make custom water loops etc id save that for your second rig lol.)

Not suffering this at all win8.1 pro. Havent had any trouble at all to be honest with win8.1 except having to enable a different sound option to hear sound in the original bioshock (hey i am trying to do a re play through of all three bioshocks)

Strange only got like 865mB not 4 gig?? and i was just on experimental there is a few bugs with the patch but i am enjoying the slight changes to the lighting... EDIT 896MB

Strange you bagged out nvidea saying amd was better bang for buck ( which they are at certain price points but there is a little trade off between them with nvidea winning at some price levels. ) And then choose at the end as your prefered rig one that has a gtx 760(which is a great lower cost card) 2 gtx 760s will out perform a titan black (when the game has a sli profile) its the reason why the GTX760 Mars card was made (its a 2 gpu card 2 760's obviously) comes in just under the price of a 780ti. Its usually handy if a tech guy keeps abreast of current tech....

Ok it will take far to long to type it all out here ( and it depends on router anyway) but google changing NAT settings and prey you have a router that allows you to assign a different ip traffic to each machine or otherwise your screwed( will need to by a better router that allows you to change NAT settings) but you will find most will allow this. Good luck i hated trying to figure nat settings oh so many years ago when i first set up the network in my house...

I find it sad that nobody seems to be using them .. I even went within 500m of berez and hid in a bush trying to get a response on the walkie and zip ( also ended up running for me life when 2 guys heard me talking in the bush and put it under what i think from sound was sks fire , didnt hang around to find out...

Well i am not sure how much they have changed the engine now but from playing RV engine games for more than 8 years now turning everything to its lowest can actually make it worse in many cases.. I know that sounds crazy but its like this (or use to be again i know there changing the engine) but turning shadows to lowest was actually in many cases worse for FPS due to it would change it from being run by the GPU to being run by the CPU which when your CPU is already stressed out (2.7 is not ultra fast and i dont believe they have improved multi threading thats why i believe the guy with dual core having it clocked having good results because its really only using a couple of cores on most quad hexi and octa core cpu's. Also as people mentioned it may be a good idea to make some changes in you cfg file namely view distance and scene complexity.. using start up parameters may also add a little bit ( they do nothing for me but then i have good framerates, but some people are reporting geting 10 or more frames from using parameters for there exe file...

Audio is IMHO one of the most important things in getting atmosphere right. I wait patiently for some work from this side of things to roll into DayZ .i mean the audio bugs we have now are not game breaking but they certainly dont add to the game yet . I look forward to hearing being a valuable sense rather than a distraction at the moment with random zed noises etc lol. Big things for the future and i for one am happy to ride the alpha bus to hopefully get to a good destination like the stuff in this video ...

HUH thing is that he didnt actually give an opinion he stated a fact ( that they were cheap and anyone could have them both very true) what he didnt do was add anything in relation to it being used as a new dog tag system as per the title of the thread. Shit id be happy to hear positive reasons for having dog tags on civilians i even gave one possible one (not a good one the memento factor for killers) It would be perfectly reasonable to find someone wearing a dog tag ( just dont see how it adds to the game) But i ask do you actually know what your raging against or you just raging in general ???

I dont think even the strongest defenders of the game have ever EVER tried to say that the game is flawless, Its always good to express concerns ,constructive criticism is always valued but there is a difference between constructive and pure non rational trollish comments ( which happen far to often here). For example I am a strong defender of the games alpha state but i have expressed my concerns on the planned global loot system but they have been tentative concerns why because we havent seen it in action so cant really say its good or bad before we try it. The same cant be said for some who throw criticism at the game basicly saying it should be finished by now cause they made 50million already etc etc..

He expressed how cheap and easy they were not if they had any value in the situation at hand. Be kind of like me coming on to one of your threads and giving my opinion on the weather it may be my opinion but it has very little value. Sure they are easy and cheap but what purpose do they serve?? If you were in a apoc and didnt already have dog tags why would you stop and make some??? Real valuable input there surprised you didnt put a plug in for an army surplus store...

Looks pretty cool and i am sure some of this will be in final release sounds of doors etc. I liked the restricted view of helmet ( very metro like which is good they could even borrow the wiping idea lol) The storage ( eg checking fridges etc) they have been working on for months so hoping it comes in with alot of containers to check. I liked the dying effect lol interesting idea of masks blocking identity probably wouldnt be hard to code (would only have a small amount of use though but still cool .) I even didnt mind the menu stats nothing to big but cool none the less , beans..

So we are non military personal trapped in a zed apoc starving dying of thirst hunted by zeds( hopefully more of them as we go along) and we are going to stop and make dog tags?? who are the dog tags for?? if some random finds you dying on the side of the road odds are they are not going to waste scarce resources on helping someone they dont know( sure there might be a couple that do but knowing the general pop most would just rob your near corpse and if you had what blood type you were they would be like great i can blood bag him and i know what sort of blood it is. All the info you might put on a dog tag you would just tell someone in game that you know eg hey bob who i have travelled with for a few days i am a- blood type is that compatable with you etc etc.. If your already dead then what good does the dog tag do you at all??? Only thing i can see a dog tag being good for is for the crazy killer types may like to collect them as trophies of there kill lol.....

If your in a tense PvP fire fight may not be the best team mate lol but for your general search the map looting hunting fishing etc a stoner will atleast make your convo interesting no doubt...
