No not exactly they have used a different physics model to that of arma 2 or arma 3 how realistic it will be in the end is anyones guess ,depends on how long they spend writing it/developing it. The underlying engine is still the RV3 modified version of ToH but large chunks of it have been replaced/are being replaced so enough to call it its own engine but it will share some similarity to where it came from. So pull out your crystal ball and predict the future...

Well i dont kill people who arent trying to kill me in general lol I did shoot someone out of missunderstanding the other day ( i was afk hiding in a bush when i came back there was a guy charging at my location with crow bar in his hands so i put 2 sks rounds in him ,the gut then the chest . He screamed dont shoot friendly friendly so i held my fire and saw he was being chased by 2 zeds so i pulled my .357 shot them and dropped a bandage down and left ( i may not kill people but if i dont trust them i dont hang around to be back stabbed either lol . I was sad that 2 sks rounds at 20 feet didnt drop him ( he was gushing blood). But thanks on the offer of gear but i like to find mine or trade for it (with the very few people i met who bother to trade.

Damn why on earth you dropping all that stuff?? So much 7.62x39 ammo that seems to be the one ammo i struggle to find ( guess to push people away from the common spawning sks lol. If you want to down size your gear you could always do a trip to berezino and call out friendly i think you will find your gear gone quite quickly :murder:

I like MSI (they make great mobo's for the money ) having tested them up against evga counterparts they perform just aswell (although thats in the short run i have never had both of the same gpu to test over the years for reliability and i know evga has great reliability as my son has one of my old pcs with a gtx470 from evga and its about 6 years old and it gets hammered daily and it hasnt skipped a beat, but its got an MSI mobo in it and that hasnt either....

I mean a 970 is far less money than a 780 currently and it well outperforms it easily here in Australia that 780 is around the 680 dollar mark( 780ti is 7to 800 odd ) and that 970 is 420 bucks.....

Hmm i am probably the wrong person to ask on the keyboard and mouse , why because i am such a logitech fan boy lol . My weapons of choice is the g710+ keyboard (with cherry brown switches) it is back lit with dual fields allowing you to customize and light up areas you want to work with . For the mouse i use the g502 which is great vary adjustable in the size to fit the hand well and adjustable weight and balance , its an all round mouse with plenty of buttons (less than a MMO mouse but more than a standard FPS mouse) easy dpi settings to get the feel just perfect( from 200 to 12000 dpi) Oh of note i went to my mates shop today and the 900 series is in and i got to play with one to see what they can do ( he only let me fuck around with a reference 970 though) and i have to say holy shit there beast i managed to clock the thing over 1500mhz on a standard reference air cooler, it sat happily at 64c while blasting valley benchmark at extreme settings and was surprisingly quite (seriously the thing will eat a 780 for far less money hell it will keep stride with a 780ti at stock) nice one Nvidea i approve of the maxwell chipset lol..

I wouldnt worry about getting an i7 mate your i5 is pretty much as good for gaming as the i7 will be.. Save your coin for a graphics card a high level 700 card may get alot cheaper at the end of the year when nvidea announce there 900 series cards( they jumping 800 as thats there mobile card range or so its been said) You probably dont even need a 780 (hey its nice if you can afford it) I put a 770 in my wifes pc and it plays at better frames than what your getting(in a coastal spot like that its about 80 plus) at 1080p with mixture of medium, high and very high settings..( ps and thats using an AMD cpu which isnt as good for Dayz with single core performance).

Yeah there is a few off us that spawn in our undies near vybor now if it wasnt for some of the other bugs i am strangely suffering ( which i didnt while playing it on exp version of .49) id actually say its a great way to start dayz i mean when finding cloths becomes a much bigger thing than finding a gun you know your playing for survival lol..

I havent managed to find a combat knife since they put military boots in with the slot to put the combat knife... Before that i found a decent amount of them ( well half a dozen or more but i wasnt looking for them then ...)

hmm tough one there really as its cpu passmark is obviously higher as its a quad core only problem is though is its single core performance is lower than the e6300.. It can be overclocked to 3.0 or slightly above if your willing/able to do such . It will certainly be a better cpu for general computing but i not sure it will give you what your looking for in dayz unless they start multithreading the game ( which i am hoping they will seriously do specially seeing they announced ps4 port they will need multithreading..)

Yeah ok so we both waiting on the optimization stage ( i was actually happy to hear about a PS4 port as that hopefully means some pretty rigid optimization.)

what do you mean by crap what your frames like in cities in towns and in the open?? i ask because thats pretty good gear and i am running a i74790k oc 5.0 ghz a titan black oc and running on my custom water loop on a asus z97 with 16 gig of kingston 2400mhz ram and i get 50's to 60's in cites 80's in towns and anywhere from 100 to 170 in open areas with 280+ if i look at the ground or sky. Id class that as pretty crap for performance to dollar value but id like to compare what your getting/considering crap...

I built my wifes pc with a 8350 (which i overclocked quite alot) and for gpu i gave her an evga gtx770 sc atx ,she has her settings at a mixture of high and very high and in cities her frames range from high 30"s low 40"s towns mid 40"s low 50's and around 80 fps in open areas so very very playable..

Completely crap idea sorry, try it in real life sneak up on a backpacker and see how you go trying to open his/her pack, dig around through it to find what you want and pull it out of a loaded pack without them feeling/hearing it....

Ah there has been 1 official wipe thus far but that was 6 months or more ago (probably longer wasnt long after the alpha came out) cant be sure when .49 is coming to stable as well been playing it via experiemental and its still got a few problems (atleast its not riddled with crashes and server crashes as it was a couple days ago...

Guess thats the advantage of having no back story they can put in anything they want. You ask how did the m1 grarand get to (its not russia its cherno a fictional ex soviet country) i counter how did a NZ special forces berret get there?? Because the devs wanted it so its there lol .. As for the weapons yeah id be happy to see some western european weapons in game hk's steyr's, any they want to put in id be happy to see as long as at the end of the day when they are balancing the loot tables everything is in moderation ( i just dont want to see dayz as a well stocked gun store)

holy shit i hope they are real if there not i dont know what the hell i have been shooting for years and feeding to my dogs LOL. As for nights lots of reasons people dont like to play it , light going through walls, gamma exploiters, some dont like the extra challenge etc etc... Personally i love the idea of night play but current state of night isnt as great , i always found in the mod lone wolfing was easier at night in relation to zeds as you could sneak past them easier.

Oh you mean from a game that was still in development while this was in development ?? makes it hard to use the engine when it wasnt complete. But hey they did use assets out of arma 3 and they chose to use ToH version of RV3 and now they have chosen to develop the engine much further to there needs.. Not sure how you know what would be better than them (hey maybe you do and your sone sort of software developer but i doubt you would be here making posts like this if you were..

I guess none of who have viewed the thread are getting it( to be honest i am not sure i understand whats happening to you ) are you saying that while playing the game it stops displaying where you are and flashes up the loading screen?? am i understanding you right??

The ssd wont gain you any FPS (well unless there is fault in you hdd and its so slow its bottlenecking the game as its constantly loading from you hdd ) it will just help with load times and it will also with pop in textures as it will load them much faster as you move around. If you suffer stutters where the fps is constant but you get tiny little pauses in game even though fps is high enough it should be smooth an ssd will help with this. Have you tried lowering scene complexity right down in your cfg ( it will make the game a bit uglier )? Your not going to like my last answer and thats overclock your cpu the problem with the games performance client side is its very cpu demanding and not well multithreaded ( when i ever i monitor it it really only uses 1 core with jumps here and there onto a second core. So it may sound crazy but a guy using that new pentium dual core which overclocks like a madman will get a smoother run than you will with your quad core with a pretty slow clock.. Or wait for them to optimize the game it is still alpha and from there talk of changing renderer etc it seems like there really going to try go the extra mile to get it running smoother(plus they want it to run on a PS4...

If you mean how well i shoot in game by all means join myself and my small band of arma vets on dayz server hell in a handbasket Australia i can give you first hand experience in any ability i may or may not have shooting.. After more than 8 years of playing RV engine games id like to think i am alright ( but i am not the best of my clan by any means..) Shoot me a private message when you can go on and how many you intend to bring and i shall match numbers ( we can range from say 4 to 12 players) you can even ellect a 4 km2 block for us to find you in giving you set up advantage and feel free to record and post the results to youtube... EDIT thats a first person view only server sorry we dont play 3rd person..

For a starting weapon hard to go past the sks , easy to find, common ammo , no need for a mag , decent stopping power. If you cant get done what you want done in 10 bullets you just need to practice more lol...

Rolling in 3 or 4 men groups just running through the streets like because there in a group there untouchable...
