Id like to see improvised traps added to the game ,even nice simple ones as a shallow punjii trap (ya know shallow hole using shovel ,spikes in it easily used from the sharpened sticks we can do now with the sack covering it with grass on it similiar to making the grass wrap for the mosin. I know ground deformation is not currently possible but this could still be simulated in a reasonable fashion just with a surface texture overlaying the ground. Wire trap , ya know just a nice piece of thin wire strung between 2 trees or similar at about neck height, with the amount of guys i see running flat out this would be an effective method for dropping people. Various snares for trapping people and animals , things along these sort of lines something that could be used as added security for upcoming barricading and camping in the woods( eg trap around your tent)

I wouldnt mind the rate of damage on an axe so much if sharpening it returned it to worn status rather than the damaged it does now.( oh and they made different sized rocks to carry 4 slots is way to large for something you carry to sharpen your axe /machete.

On a 1.3 ghz cpu when min specs call for 2.4 your play experience is going to be less than ideal ( if it will even run at all) on saying that there are guys playing on 1.9 ghz cpu's that seem to get alright performance at the lower resolutions. But personally i think you would be wasting 30 bucks as your mac air doesnt really seem like its made for gaming( not serious gaming any way and this is a hard to run serious game.)

Its certainly is exploiting a bug, sure it will get fixed sooner or later but i have to ask to you suffer really bad desync( or do the people around you) becuase one of the biggest causes of desync is the enormous amount of gear checks the server throws at our character seeing we still have item has it been damaged etc etc. With your inception style loot collection its far more likely to get blocked with to many gear checks rendering pulling weapons etc near impossible. But hey if you dont mind exploiting ( and you dont need to ask if its is exploiting you know it is the fact you asked means you know it is your just hoping for some validation.

Why is it that i read this thread and i just get an image of children playing in a park ,one child is not winning so suddenly just spits the dummy and says 'thats it i am going home and i am taking my bat and ball with me'. Because you combat log that's pretty much what your doing ,admitting you cant handle losing and your going home with your bat and ball( your characters gear). Man up we all have to die sometime in game and hell maybe luck will go your way and you will score a killing shot. I have gotten lucky and taken a group of 3 bandits down using an sks i have also been axed to death while fully geared by a yolo fresh spawn who caught me off guard. You know what i enjoyed both experiences the thrill of victory and the learning experience of being done over.....

The only combat log i find acceptable is logging out when being attacked on all sides by invisible Zeds .I have been there and i thought about logging but i took my medicine and died to the bug ( wasnt happy about it and if i thought i could have survived logging i would have lol ). If your going to log out when you see a player ,sorry you shouldn't really be playing this game.(glad you logged back in and took your medicine..)

Its strange how an item can be as common as for one person and a rare mystical treasure to another. I think this is all part of the evil plan that is dayz ,it knows what you want to find and thus doesnt spawn it or if it does it will will reset before you pick it up and finally when it lets you have said item after many days it will then spawn tons of them so everywhere you look you find one now you dont need it as a cosmic slap in the face. Well played Dayz another heart broken but there are still more who need there soul crushed...

Zombies bodies sliding is a well known issue a pain i know but it isnt game breaking so i doubt we will see a fix till beta( hope i am wrong though lol ) To start a fire you need to combine sticks and a rag or bandage to make a fire kit ,this appears on ground then you add firewood and then put matches in hand and you will have option to ignite. Hmm this one sounds strange your not striking the F keys while pressing are you as it sounds like he raising his hands in surrender ( but as this is something i havent experienced i am guessing here) Havent heard anything about a journal but that be cool but you can keep a journal now on the pieces of paper just collect a pen and you can write notes to yourself eg how many zeds you killed ( i usually leave a note on myself for my killer childish stuff i hope he/she gets a laugh out of.

This is an example of a really cheap effective powerline set up. PM me if you have any further questions but they really are such an easy tech to use just plug in and away you go..it comes with the 2 short ethernet cables you need to connect to router/modem and to the pc after that it is literally plug the thing into the wall( the plugs in your country may be different but i am sure they sell the same thing there just with the correct power plug.

Bugger i was hoping to see something like an i3 or i5 or i7 ( or even an fx 8150,8320) which is so common in pre made pc's and then it really is just a case of adding a graphics card to it. It has an apu so its both cpu and gpu in one and in most cases i would say that would run a game aswell if not better than the laptop Dwalker posted ( amd intergrated graphics are generally better than intels but they have less cpu power . But as dayz is pretty cpu crazy (and not multithreaded to boot) it would give most likely very sub par results on that (with no easy upgrade path being an older style APU) So tough one really if it was me with that budget id still build a desktop to run it but as i dont think you would build one yourself then something like Dwalker is suggesting may be your best path. Keep in mind though min specs listed ask for a 2.4 ghz dual core cpu but many people running laptops manage to get semi respectable results on sub 2ghz cpus (helps runing the lower resolution of 1366x768 vs 1920x1080) So basicly look in your area for a laptop with the highest cpu power thats in your budget (again if it was me on that budget just for dayz id build a pc using the new pentium dual core as that overclocks great and can easily get 4.4 ghz out of it for a 50 dollar cpu ,slap a 750ti in 160 bucks on a cheap mobo and built in psu on a cheap case and you would get under the 450 mark with something that will motor through the game at 1080p.(ram is dirt cheap these days so 8 gig of standard 1600mhz will give you plenty to run any program you want.)

Ok well just to have a look at what it is do this. Press the windows key(usually second from the left at the bottom with the R key at the same time this opens the run command box an simply type dxdiag and then hit enter it will bring up all relevant stats of your pc , copy and paste them here if you could(the upgrade could be a simple as putting a graphic card in it which honestly is so easy to do it aint funny...

Nope dont need a really long ethernet cable best solution is a power line set up ( i use one myself lol ) check them out if you have never seen them ,basicly you plug them into you modem/router plug them into the walls power socket then there is a second unit you plug into the power socket near your pc and plug you pc into that and it uses the houses copper power wiring to transfer your internet.... Whats the desktop eg why wont it run dayz ,it may be cheaper to upgrade parts of that pc to run the game than buy a laptop...

LOL maybe you dont because regardless of the crying of some people its still pretty easy . But the simple fact is if you get cold you burn energy faster(eg need to eat more) so answer me this will you care when food spawns get tightened up even more when warm cloths get fewer and suddenly as a fresh spawn you need to struggle to survive ( which is kinda the point in a survival game trying to survive so you can get to a point your self reliant and go be the gangsta outlaw you like to be.....

Also it may help posters willing to help if they knew what country your in (for prices in countries vary alot.) Final point if its just to play dayz why does it need to be a laptop as a desktop in the same price range will run it better(and for cost you can always use an existing flat screen tv for the monitor. If your serious you just press f12 to take a steam photo ( although many people use other methods from 3rd party apps)

So you have never been shot playing inventory tetris?? I doubt they would add a mini game, but i certainly wouldnt complain if they did id just make sure i had a look out ready while i played unlock the door as i do when i play inventory tetris or now its time to eat and drink...

Yeah at real cqb sure fire auto but i keep getting guys doing it from 100m or more where if used semi auto in in 2 or 3 shot flurries its good in full auto you have to be lucky or your dead( or i have to be silly enough to stand there waving till you shoot me.) Dont get me wrong in each of those encounters i have upgraded to the m4 after its done (why wouldnt you ) its just i find to many guys with the gun because they need that many bullets to get the job done( again i am sure there plenty skilled guys with the m4 i just keep meeting the drongoes....)

Strange i have used the blaze quite a few times i find it quite a handy gun. In the 4 encounters with a blaze (me) vs a m4(auto firing morons usually it works much better as semi auto) i have walked away on top each time (cant say the same for the run ins i have had with guys with sks's maybe its because theyare full time semi auto that the guys dont lose there shit and spray auto fire in crazed attacks . Im sure there plenty of skilled M4 users out there just all the ones i have run into would be lucky to hit the wide side of a barn with a 60 clip...

Yeah i dont believe the gas stove provides any personal heat and i desperately tried as i was one of the guys that got the vybor in your undies bug(constantly) and the first time it happened it was night in the rain and vybor seemed pretty looted out, as all i could find for warmth was the freddy crugar tshirt and a gas stove and bottle that i set up and stood over until i froze to death ... Edit , this was prior to the hotfix patch so that may have changed but i doubt it .

Can be caused by the HDD as the game constantly loads from it( do you get alot of pop ups/ins of textures etc) how old is the HDD. Basicly it can cause a temp bottleneck as it waits for the info to be read( which causes sudden pauses or stutters but leaves the FPS at the same rate it was as the gpu is still rendering the game at its usual speed.

Hmmmm dont trust Australians? so one of your guys got shot (maybe by an Australian even your own guy said he just said something sort of australianish) and we never saw what your friend did to get shot probably waving his gun around all macho. But we did see you execute a man with food in his hands while chatting with him and then you and your other mate executed a couple fresh spawns and its aussies not to trust hmm.. Your idea of whats trustworthy and mine are a little different.

In game temperature must be set by the server as i have played on hell in a handbasket server wearing ttsko jacket autumn hunter pants gloves beanie mil boots and high capacity vest at sunrise and i get a steady temp but when i change to hardcore pvp server(both australian servers) and it was 1 in the afternoon my character was steadily getting cold. So i am not sure the mechanic is broken so much as i think some servers are using the wrong setting but thats just my 2 cents...

Damn just started downloading 525mb patch do we have any guesses ( say fix for shadow lighting bug maybe a fix for those spawning nude in vybor lol crash fixes?? or some real conspiracy type stuff like the hidden first vehicle or barricading mechanic lol ..
