Do any of the official servers actually maintain a good number of players? If the official servers are the ones that say NJ 2-12, AU 2-5 and the Dayz Standalone, etc, they are never even close to be at full or medium capacity... always low and always with less than 6 players, who are server hopping or building a base. So for financial reasons, I bet the official servers are killed off in the future and probably what the devs are hoping for. I for one like to loot and build my base on official servers. i don't have the time I use to to play, so quicker gearing is the key for me. Being able to find an empty server to gear up usually brings me to the "official" servers. But I enjoy the looting aspect of the game. I also like hunting for other bases and players.. Not RP so much. Initially I thought having different hives for official and public was going to be an issue for me, but as it turns out, it's not. There are plenty of rented servers I can build my base on, then hop over to Trump's Wall and do some hunting ;)

anyone remember BF2142/Bf2.. could kill someone, then revive them, kill, revive. etc.. I could see the real a-holes doing this for fun. knock them uncon, then revive and repeat

I used fast forward as a way to bind a macro so I can run without holding the key down all the time. This is bad for the hands. why the hell was it removed?

nope. doesn't work. they removed the one button that is the true one key-press "sprint". now it's either toggle run or walk. bummed about this and now the public/official servers are not on the same hive. This has taken some of the fun out for me.. might be time to give up Dayz

lol. actually broke my wrist in an accident when I was younger. Now at 46, it always hurts I will try binding Turbo.. thanks.

I have the Logitech G910 with macro keys. I just binded the "Fast Forward" to the G2 key and set to toggle. Helped long distance running. My wrists are already messed up and sore as it is, and when I have the press and hold the "W" to all time now, it's hurts.

I'm always in the west and always finding other players.

I have 26 tents in my camp. Actually trying to see how many tents I can add before 1) it's found 2) update/persistence wipe 3) crashes the server. Plus almost every tent is full of yummy loot. I'll give a can of beans to the player who finds it first ;)

what worries me is that fact that the cars are really no better than they were when first introduced. What i hate is the lag spike that sends the car into a tree. the other issues I just remembered.. the audio is totally wacked when you are using TS or Discord when you are driving cars. For whatever reason the car audio makes the voice comms distorted.

Found 2 barrels (in pine trees), 5 tents and 2 cargo trucks to the west of the military base outside Myshkino. Of course I took what I needed, then camped it waiting for the owner. Got 2 kills ;) So if you find someone's base, look in the trees ;)

That's EA's favorite word now when it comes to BF1.. hence my avatar ;) What they really mean is they don't know nor give a shit when it happens ;)

Use to find grenades in heli crashes all the time, but it's been months since I've found them there. As mentioned above, in military areas, normally in clothing. Like cars, tents and barrels, are there a limited number of nades on each server?

Emuthreat and lrishjake and Thurman Murman, everyone here has their own playing style. Just because you don't agree with mine doesn't make what I do a "dick move". If that's the case, then that itself is a dick. move. But now I have a challenge. Better guard your shit ;) Again this is a survival game. When I find tents, I take as much as I can, usually all ammo, weapons, food, med supplies and some clothing, car parts, etc. The remaining gets tossed. I'll relocate what I can.

Plus one of my passions now is to find bases, and I've become pretty good at it. I've found 2 very large camps that the [MM] clan had just in the past few days. Lots of fun stuff to take and I throw out the rest. Usually leaving some words of encouragement made of apples in the one remaining tent. I bet I can find anyone's camp ;)

I've seen a few people post in the Steam forums that vehicles are back in Stable. Can anyone confirm/deny this?

Wolves can come through tents and walls. Easy way to kill them 1 at a time. The other thing i noticed is that after you kill a few, the others will run away. Not sure if it's a Alpha (dog) thing or if when their pack is all but dead, the remaining run off..
