i am starting to love this guy, he does have skills but maybe not the ones noted. Maybe we could have some screen shots of your excellence next time?

i carry wood for splints when i find some, just in case a bug gets me. It sucks if a bug gets you, or that you can't knife/drown or shoot your self yet, but better that than having load of people re spawning for better loot.

Being Able To Carry 2 Rifle Sized Guns Would Be Nice
Sooden replied to Deathlove's topic in General Discussion
Did a bit of research as I'm not up on guns and was wondering if there would be a real reason we cant have 2 guns on our back, and I think I found out why (least at this point in development). I worked it out after seeing this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSMBMW2KsZk I think its due to drawing the weapon at speed, and if a second gun was on your back, it could not be drawn as fast, in a realistic manna. So a second gun would need its own mechanics or have to be swapped over with the other gun before use (Which is probably not very realistic) Note: this post is not related to putting guns in bag, just on back. -

if they add weapon geometry again, that person will get stuck in a few doors. -

or get the axe you would keep in your backpack :) (Guessing they will be very important when you can chop wood) -
this is to help people with no Mic or speak different languages. Some people that need to type don't want to stop any type, as it puts them at risk. SO what if their where a few more basic gestures like 'Yes', 'No", 'Surrender now', 'i need help' and so on. Also add a default voice to the actions witch is automatically translated to other players. Like you may say 'hello' with an English sound file, but then on a Russian client, it plays the Russian version for that player

your not getting it so, yup, you win... i must be wrong. We can end this part, well done. let other read and see what they think now (just hurt to much) added: the white, yeah had that problem too, in other post

i agree, i didn't when i first started Dayz, i was all hate to KOS :P Just hope people understand OP tried a counter argument on psychology (which they didn't want implemented, was just an example), but their facts where wrong, an all i did was point that out lol.. and hate i was given
-
and this topic was about 'sanity' as a punishment for KOSing. the effect of simulating RL effects in a game, by adding a simulated sanity system... i don't think you understand. Poor you :P I am feeling you are trolling. if not, stop tying, and just learn, even i learn to change my views when i am wrong
-
and my post was not a reason for any KOS system (i hardly part of the topic here, just ref-ed and corrected OP), it was to clear up the false facts in the OPs post also 'MAY'; when you get a cut, you may get infected, some may not,but game uses averages. System in the game are based on 'may' and averages. Base on research (i left this out of last post and and put the may in italics, just to see what would be posted) OP talked BS to try and shoot down anti KOSers, and i don't care if people kos or not. but Ops point was inaccurate. that's what my posts relate too. I feel like people are relay trying hard to find fault with me and not understanding my post and its relations. Not going to get into a silly fight.

Security: also need riot gear (helms and shield) i think they would be laying around :) and night sticks
-
Dam cross winds But on a serious note, Yeah take a brake wait till its more to your liking. I hear that if you sing up to the bug report forum, you can vote up current issues, to get them fixed faster
-
that would be cool :)
-
I like the idea but not so happy about an average time right now. Sometimes I will die faster than I should have, as I am testing things. People may avoid things that may kill them (Bug test) to keep their average up.
-
Well in the case of my post, how you may feel comes from a wide group of people that have killed. I think they would be the best to tell us what it may do to you.
-
Challenge accepted! Next time i give away my kit or die.

But this topic is in relationship to 'sanity punish for KOS?' . which would be a punishment to simulate the effects of killing in RL, within the game, and OP said they did some research and found the opposite. So the report i found is very reverent to this post. And see such wording as 'your character having more sanity because he enjoy success and is a winner" referring to the in game simulated character and not the player. Sorry that what i posted invalidate what OP stated as fact, but i sure i am right in what i posted. i feel you are try to defend a thread and your post in any way you can, instead of saying 'you have a point there'.
-
above is what you feel playing the game. did some relay fast research my self on effects of killing. Cant say i fully understand the document, but i don't see the 'winner' feeling in this report "This study examined the mental health impact of reported direct and indirect killing among 2,797 U.S. soldiers returning from Operation Iraqi Freedom. Data were collected as part of a postdeployment screening program ata large Army medical facility. Overall, 40% of soldiers reported killing or being responsible for killing duringtheir deployment. Even after controlling for combat exposure, killing was a significant predictor of posttraumaticdisorder (PTSD) symptoms, alcohol abuse, anger, and relationship problems. Military personnel returning frommodern deployments are at risk of adverse mental health conditions and related psychosocial functioning related tokilling in war.Mental health assessment and treatment should address reactions to killing to optimize readjustmentfollowing deployment." ref: Journal of Traumatic Stress, Vol. 23, No. 1, February 2010, pp. 86–90 (C 2010) Full document (pdf) : https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CC4QFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dtic.mil%2Fcgi-bin%2FGetTRDoc%3FAD%3DADA514756&ei=-X_MUsriOIqX1AXv5oCADg&usg=AFQjCNEJblIwMOxagafpnTCKaA5XYH6EUw&sig2=h_0Q5irTIo-p1pyhHpoXyw&bvm=bv.58187178,d.bGQ&cad=rja added: this reply is not a post in favour of punishment, just needed to clear somethings up

are people trying to make the SA to friendly?

hehe, i didn't know that's why they where killing them selves, that's just funny -

Sooden replied to dgeesio's topic in General Discussion
i do see both side, sorry i did not included more in this post, (no BSing, a post before this , in another topic, i mention the problem of PvE and public hives). i agree is the same on both side -

I know the game will change with development, one of the points normally made and its a good one. What I also see when 'PvE' is motioned is; - Kosers getting defensive, as if they are gonna lose something , like easier kills sniped from a hill 700m away where they have spent all day mapping out landmark distances so they can look like pro shot on they videos. - I see fear from the Kosers, as if their style of play will be removed or destroyed. - and their confusion as to why anyone else would play the game a different way. I don't care my self about having an PvE or/and Pvp server option, but it gets me how against the idea KOSers are. Try to see both side of the coin, and I don't think anyone is saying you would be forced to play an PvE server, just like your not forced to play 3PP:off -
And if it was a server option like 3PP:off/on, then no one would be forced to join a PvE style server, so they don't have to be limited by a killing rule. I cant see any issue with it my self apart from a loot accessibility balance if its a public hive. But that didn't come up in the replies and probably will now as main argument lol but, also nothing to stop them going on there to get loot in that way... yeah, i don't know. Just wanted to throw that out there.

not sure if this idea you have is the answer, but its one of the best i have seen. And yes, Ezmode mass killing bandit would not like it as they would have to go and play with people that want to kill them. People say, 'Let people play as they want too', well for a part of Dayz, they cant as they get KOS all the time. This idea may work as a server option I guess, but I would like to see a 2 or 3 kill buffer before any time outs, so it targets the mass killers who play just to kill players.

maybe wells dry up (from use) and add ability to get water from toilet cisterns . Water from houses would have to be very limited if the power to water pumps is off. So only water that would be contained in tanks.

You play it the fun way :) nice vid
