Morgan Freeman brings salvation to DayZ. [VIDEO]

So refreshing. I honestly don't know how and or why any body would kill someone like that if they met them in game. I would honestly be enjoying my time so much I wouldn't even care if you turned on me. Fuck those Russian mobsters.

    10 min body despawn?

Easily exploited though. Friend removes gear from previous body. Gear up from where your friend dropped the gear too.

    [Suggestion] A Harder Game

Yes I love that idea. Make it very hard with the locks, but still possible with a friend, but almost suicide alone. I like when getting good loot is hard, that way it means something to you, and to not carelessly get killed by someone who would want to take it from you.

    [Suggestion] A Harder Game

Ok, so what I am about to say would never work until the loot farming stops. Hopefully I can break down my line of thought and go from there to how I think would be a really cool way to make the game more, well, hard. I would consider myself an average citizen. I have a hunting rifle (not a fucking aresenal of weapons like some americans) and for that rifle I have exactly 13 rounds. Five of these rounds are loaded and the other 7 are in the box. Now this is a leap but stay with me... If a zombie apocalypse were to break out, the first thing I would want to do regarding my weapon is get more ammo. Where do you buy ammo? The ammo store! Duh! Also Walmart, sporting stores, and shooting ranges. But, I most likely wouldn't go to the ammo store. Why? Because that's everyone's thought, and most likely the owners would defend that place till their death which would most likely occur because of zombies not other people. But why aren't these type of stores in the game? How come the only place I can go to find ammo is military outposts? And why are there so many military outposts anyway? The way I see it, if you find a firearm in a residential house you have a chance to find different amounts of ammunition along with the weapon. I also think there should be ammunition stores or sporting stores that have bounds of weapons ammunition and camping gear (hence the sporting store nature { at least in the states}) Now these stores would be largely contested by players, but also have an abnormally high zombie count because of the previous owners defense of the area. So essentially you could not just run into the store and grab the ammo and get out without 1 a decent amount of weapons/ammo 2 a intelligent plan 3 other survivors to help kill/distract zombies. In parralel with these new loot spawns I would also suggest that all the public hive servers are synched together to all "reset at the same time" and that they would reset every once in awhile, like maybe once every 5 days for example ( this could change depending on what ended up balancing well). So on the 4th day it would kind of be like the 4th year real time after an apocalypse. Everything would be rare. Then what would happen? 1. Food would be rare 2. Supplies would be rare. 3. Ammo would be rare. 4. Surviving would be difficult. 5. People would band together and/or punch some one to death for the beans/eat each other. Then eventually the servers would restart and it would play slightly different because some people would have survived and had camps in towns or what have you. What would also be interesting is eventually the ammo stores would be back in the hands of survivors on restarts. I think this could make for a really interesting more challenging experience along with what the devs currently have in mind. Anyway just a thought. Let me know what you think/improvements you have. <<<<<<<<TDLR>>>>>>>> 1. Implement ammo/sports stores. 2. Have those stores have higher amounts of zombies (because of above) 3. Spawn small amounts of ammo close to firearms. 4. Synchronize server restarts to all be the same on public hive. 5. Increase the amount of time that elapses between server restarts. The example I gave was 5 days. Hero of Suburbia

Any Idea on when the next patch is??

I can't play the mod because of the arma 2 interface. Its just too much. As for now, I rarely get to play video games, so when I do play dayz I really enjoy it. Unfortunately most gamers put as little time in the game per patch as I do so they become bored easily after a short time. This is starting to include my group if friends which kind of sucks because I'm always down to play and they are already petering out.

this is going to sound ignorant but...

I suppose you are right. I have made this long journey only to find that my own actions contribute to the problem that ails me.
  8. Is there some place, some magical place (website, forum, etc. Etc. ) on the internet that I can go to read about news pertaining to dayz and intelligent suggestions in game development that does not entail, "Kos has to stop" "For the love of humanity implement a humanity system" "The zombies are broken" "This is about zombie survival not PvP" "My experience so far..." I feel like I have read that post about 10 hundred times now and its just not really entertaining anymore. Also I feel as though I have some generally interesting suggestions but odds are they have been suggested so.. If anyone can point me to the pretentious direction I would appreciate.
  9. Most people can't because at a certain point they experience pain which stops them. If you experience no pain, it's truely incredible the immense amount of strength humans can summon, albeit only once because things break/tear after such an effort.

    Friendly's everywhere!

I believe it's entirely up to the players who are playing at the time. I for instance generally kill on sight. Now, that may be misleading because I rarely kill some one shortly after seeing them. I usually size them up, maybe talk to them if they look relatively harmless and rarely let them live, the letting them live is entirely circumstantial. For example the other night a group of my friends and I were engaged in a heavy firefight with another group over elektro. We had just taken control of the inner city but were taking shots from what we call lovers Lane which is the hill with the love bench to the north east of electro and almost directly east of the most northern fire station. I teamed up with my friend and the 2 of us were going to flank around the hill to the south east and come up the back side when we ran into a relatively freshly spawned person. He came over direct chat and seemed really friendly. In my book, too friendly. See we had guns and he didn't. Maybe he was going to try to get us to drop our guard and kill us when that happens? Perhaps he was part of the group we just killed and was going to try some old fashioned espionage? At the moment I couldn't tell, and if we was not part of the group the other group we were fighting would probably kill him on his journey through electro. So that was my thought process. It all ocurred in about 5 seconds. At this time my friend was talking with him, and seemed likely to let him go. I made the decision, under these conditions its not worth it. *crack* Went my mosin as he fell to the ground. My friend reluctant, but the mission continued and we were victorious.

We NEED some way to identify heros and bandits.

As long as I can wear the hero armband as a bandit to infiltrate their ranks and backstab them all....
  12. Do you say lol after every sentence? The intelligence of this community is starting to become a concern of mine. A lot larger concern than KoS which PvP is a part of the fucking game. If you want a lvl 99 zombie survivor hero then stop playing dayz and go find another game.

Combat Logging - Massive Game Killer for DayZ

    Sign of a true douche/fanboy.
  14. Hero of Suburbia

    Edged Weapon system

Beans for the idea. Hope the devs are listening.
