    Yeah I understand that but I was rapidly heating up from the afterglow at least 5 mins after the fire had consumed the logs.

    I don't know about that - I got rapid/slow warm up from afterglow. Could be that it was a fire in a house. I went from saturated to damp with the fire burning and to completely dry from the glow.

    Not to quibble but that looks like guns in a container:D I mean guns outside. When persistence first came in and that bone/spine damage thing was still going I decided I'd dump my gear and suicide. For one reason or another I didn't get back for over two days. Everything was gone - clothing/vest - except for the gun and backpack. edit: or is that stuff in the tent but not in the tent inventory?

    Did they get mentioned in the report? They used to be persistent when persistence was first in but I don't know about now. Sure we have a whole weekend to test it!

    Compensator

    Does it increase accuracy of the first bullet you shoot? I thought the idea was it reduces recoil/barrel rise so you have more chance of being accurate with your subsequent shots. tbh I'm not sure what dispersion is in arma - is it like the movement of the barrel after a shot or is it a random factor added to calculate bullet trajectory? I may be wrong but whatever it is, I've a feeling the compensator reduces that.

    I ran from the just outside the nwaf directly to about 1km in off the south coast. Only checked occasional houses for food and stopped at a couple of wells but despite not looking I saw 2 shotguns and 2 blazes. Saw shotgun ammo too. If anyone is finding sks ammo in hunting shacks, I'll have left it. I've way too much and nothing to shoot it. What's the story with zombies? Certain servers or none at all. I didn't see any.

    Sorry. It was too strong a word. I hope you are right. I said in the exp thread that I hoped my tent was stolen as opposed to just disappeared so I'm not angry about losing stuff. It's just that quite a lot of people in the exp thread had tents/barrel/entire camps disappear without a trace and some of them took a long time to build so would also take a long time to move. That's why people doubt their camps were just raided. Anyway, apologies if I was a bit hysterical.

    what are they saying then? I read it as if you pitch a tent it'll e there for 45 days unless someone raids it, picks it up and runs away with it. People on experimental have had entire camps disappear.

    maybe we should roll back lol Honestly though if you were writing the status reports would you honestly say tents are persistent for 45 days given your recent exp. experience? (Or did you actually play this release?)

    I think 58 is a great release but they are going to be found out with the lies about 45 day persistence and that's going to be a shitstorm. you and i (and the rest of the exp heads are cool with it but stable not such much.) I just feel they are going down the same road they went when they pretended there were no hackers. I always think it's better to admit a problem and fix it than pretend it doesn't exist.

    that's pretty good going. I just feel that .58 is pretty great without over promising in the report. how can they claim 45 days when none of us have had anything close to that amount of time? Setting themselves up for a fall imo.

    Honestly, it's the best release of dayz in a long time but I've no idea why they put in the bit about tents last for 45 days. That just doesn't happen and they know that. Is there a plan for the next 45 days to say to everyone had a camp disappear that it was raided. Yeah that might work 99% of the time but someone (wobo probably) will prove those claims are untrue and then there will be a huge backlash. .58 is a great release and it wouldn't be diminished by admitting that tents have a great chance of disappearing after a few days rather than this nutty pretence that they'll last 45 days

    I feel like the status report is at odds with my exp experience - anyone else. Love the game, love you guys, love the devs but tents are persistent for 45 days apparently, imo they were lucky to persist for 4 to 5 days. It's this kind of hyperbolic exaggeration that causes backlash when things go wrong.

    Honestly the statement "The only issue we currently see as a blocker on experimental (0.58.128852) is visually represented as "floating loot" seems a bit demented to me. There's a lot worse bugs than that. imo that's a bug that doesn't even affect playability. The cle is the main isue. Currently the nwaf is great if you want a field shovel or boots that's a bigger issue than pants spawning above hunting stands. I really like 58 regardless I just don't think the high pants is any more of a stopper than anything else. Plus persistence doesn't work. Are we pretending it does? That's only going to cause more outrage. telling players their tents will persist for 45 days when none of us on experimental have had a camp for anything close to that is just a little bit disingenuous. Love you guys but come on.

    It spawns one item multiple times. Sometimes it's a saline, sometimes a bipod, sometimes it's a pilot helmet, sometimes it's boxes ok sks ammo etc

    The bear trap and tripwire were gone too - quite a lot of people mentioned tents disappearing. Yeah it could've been stolen but more likely just wiped. It was pretty full and if I was stealing, I'd steal the items I wanted and leave the tent or if I wanted the tent I'd have to empty it, leaving items around it that I didn't want. It was gone with no indication it was ever there. deffo got wiped imo.

    btw I left an akm on uk-09 at zelen mil base - it's in a bush at the se wall a behind the guardhouse. No mags
